I learned so much from my grandmother about china and depression glass etc. She taught me how to appreciate its beauty and worth. Many times I was on the hunt with her for a replacement piece. I am forever grateful for all that she showed me.❤
My parents and I visited this wonderful company many years ago, to sell two sets of dishes. We were warmly received and while they assessed our pieces, we took a walk about the place. It was amazing. They also allow their employees to bring their pets to work. Like they said, if you need a piece or whole service of china, they have it.
when I feel stressed I go to their website and just look at all the beautiful things! Love this company and was happy to see this story! One day I would love to see their museum!
I have dealt with Replacements a number of times..always delightful, pleasant, honest, friendly, and they know their stuff!!!! I do plan to visit their location one day...from NY
I love Replacements. I was able to locate my mother’s cake plates that matched her tea & coffee serving set. I have such wonderful memories associated with that set. ✌🏻💖🌺
I love Replacements. Ltd.! My late mom's silver service was long ago discontinued but as Christmas gatherings grew in numbers I was able to purchase additional place settings and individual serving pieces from them. Each time I set my holiday table with these beautiful pieces it brings back memories of my beloved mother.
I live 45 minutes from the Replacements Ltd store and warehouse and have been there several times. It's a great place to just go look at all of the incredible china and other items that they have for sale. And... the employees get to bring their dogs to work..... so that makes it even more special.
We love Replacements LTD! We have used them a few times for replacements in our grandmother's silverware set! Thank you for keeping this important history alive!
Yeah. I bought a tea set for my mom when I was about 18 and I am 52 and she’s dead but the one thing she kept was that tea set so to me it matters. If anything breaks I’d like to replace it. So thank you for existing.
@@ReplacementsLtd It was an Indian Tree. I understand they’re usually not valuable but it was pretty and actually not cheap. My daughter has it but someday I’d like to see it again. I’m curious now what exactly it is; at the time it was Mother’s Day and it was in an antique store, in perfect shape with I think service for four and that’s why it bought it. So naturally since she kept it and everything I am curious what I bought, at 18.
Replacements, Ltd is amazing. I've ordered several pieces from them and I know I'm getting the correct, genuine item either in excellent condition or exactly as described if the piece has signs of wear. I've even sold pieces TO them. They're a great company to work with either as customer or supplier.
Replacements has a huge amount of choices, but unfortunately, i can't afford the prices they ask. Since Ebay has been on line, their prices are a tiny bit more affordable! It's also a great place to identify a pattern.
I have used this company in the past to complete a tea service I found, they are top drawer quality. I would highly recommend them if you are in need of replacement piece, they have everything you can imagine 😊
I worked for 25yrs at one of the largest US based homeware store brands and use to refer clients looking for broken pieces from seasonal patterns we carried. One client was flabbergasted at the price of the broken plate he needed to replace. It was the cost of the entire 4piece set itself. Months later he told me he bought it because it completed the beloved set. He doesnt help with the dishwashing anymore.
I have used them but I find their prices to be very high, particularly for pieces of ordinary contemporary dishware. I prefer to look in thrift & antique stores b/c it's more fun, like a treasure hunt, but in a pinch, I will use them. They do take great care with the items they send & are scrupulous about describing flaws.
Replacements has a overstock sale every year. It is great to go to. They also email lists of the china patterns you are looking for if you want to keep up with a particular pattern. My Mom’s china was discontinued in the 1950s and I can still get pieces from there.
I need to find a small Fiesta disc pitcher in either one of the blues other than cobalt & turquoise, or a golden yellow, like the maize yellow of the University of Michigan colors
My mom was able to replace pieces from her wedding China from 1956. That had been broken when one of the glass shelves broke in the China cabinet. She was so happy.
After 40 years of life, I am just now realizing how nice it is to eat off of real plates and silverware. Once I was on my own, I used disposable. Did it for a very long time. But now, there is something about using China plates.
I resell fine china, glass and collectibles so this company is a valuable resource. Not only to locate desirable pieces but to identify patterns and makers. Even if the pieces are imperfect, we want to rescue them and find homes with people who will appreciate the exquisite workmanship and historical value.
I have used this wonderful company for years, be it English , French or Norwegian they had just what I wanted to replace , the online ordering is simple, postage, expert packaging and delivery of a little treasure is less than you may expect to pay and a joy that brings back memories of people and places, daily use of porcelain and silver adds finesse to your every day , it is very sturdy , when used often less silver polishing required, enjoy ;;:::))))
They are absolutely adorable, fine arts achievements are always delightful, making us feel humans, a precious dish is just precious like a true jewel, it makes us feel wealthy, it's an asset we should not give up on, a true investment that worths for generations in a family
Syracuse NY had Smith Restaurant Supply for decades. The entire large 2nd floor was china and crystal. Unfortunately they downsized and only have a minute fraction of what they used to have. Makes me very sad.
thanks to replacements ltd I was able to get a good price for a full 8 piece service set of Mikasa Lexington dishes at a local thrift store! they offered it at 70 bucks for the full set including a sugar bowl, cream pitcher, dessert sauce bowl, 12 inch chop plate, and 8 rimmed soup bowls!
I’m trying to get rid of 3 sets of China and sets of silver dinnerware. Grandparents and parents. Kids don’t want it and nobody else seems to either. 🤷🏻♀️ Formal dining rooms and their settings are falling by the wayside.
@@connor_flanigan Don't know. I wound up donating to local thrift store. Shipping cost to Replacements would have been more than I would have received!
Sometimes we are overstocked in certain patterns and simply don't have the need for additional pieces. Check back with us periodically as supplies do change.
Their china is grossly overpriced and if you try to sell something to them they will pay you pennies. They also expect you to bring /mail things to them at your cost. Not everything is rare, they just say it is!
My neighbor Rafael only uses Chinette paper plates. He's got the same psychological disorder that the Jack Nicklaus guy had in "As Good as It Gets." And he only wears one pair of underwear once, then throws it away.
My mother worked for Replacements Limited. She was treated very poorly there. There aren't many jobs open to divorced 60 year old women who are laid off, but she had a mortgage. The pay was a joke. Working there as one of the few straight or non-trans people taught her the ideals that took her to San Fran years ago needed revising. They were beyond nasty to her there.
The replacement company is awesome!! I have used them many times. For glassware and china.
Is nice to know its humbles humble beginning.
I've also used them. I absolutely love this company.
