Hunting Aotearoa is back with Dan Steele at Whakahoro continuing to hunt in this wonderland that boarders the abandoned farms of this region.
Howie gets to hunt goats, pigs and deer in the short time we are here. Howie also meets a local legend helicopter pilot Matt Newton who helps out Dan and takes the guys up to the outer reaches of the abandon farms for a pig hunt.

there used to be a hermit at the other end of that tack called Frank he disapeared but i have seen the monstrous boars he used to kill when i was young ,he also used to ride all those hard tracks on a 650 BSA road bike i know this as a fact as we went into the Mangatiti on it boy could he ride lol

This land was given to them but the place was unfarmable and the government wouldn't give them enough financial help a bloody rip off for those who gave so much .
