I saw someone do a gameplay montage featuring the M82/M107, and was vaguely excited, but what you see in FP is just so... meh. Uninspiring to the point of they tried to make a huge rifle seem pointless.
Im pretty sure the sights on some of the rifles are wrong Miss-aligned also the Ak 47 fromt sight is too high and whatever the HK style gun was called the front sight was just that little bit too low

why does the M9 only have 6 bullets in the mag? And the Desert Eagle and R93 clearly both load empty mags. And what's the point of having a mini red dot on top of the Sturm's scope if there's a massive dial right in the way?
Basically every pistol in this game except Glock has mag capacity less than 10 rounds, even Glock have it's mag reduced to 15 rounds can't even sustain fire for a second lol
I believe you can purchase Magazine upgrades for the guns, thats why it only has six shots... But i noticed too. Six shots is a bit too small, even if they want us to buy those mag upgrades.

You know for a sniper game, it's main focus is on taking out enemy with best efficiency so it's probably reasonable to reduce mag capacity for some weapons. But almost EVERY double stack mag pistol (except Glock)has less than 10 rounds in their mag and that is bullshit.

It’s completely amazing to me that they manage to get away with making these completely brainless shooters every couple years and somehow make enough money to keep developing them. SpiderMan45 the sounds get a D- due to being done in a lazy fashion and using the same sound for a lot of guns. The visuals get a C because they’re not bad but definitely not goof. It looks almost identical to Ring of Elysium. Animations get a D- because while, sure, worse exist, that’s no excuse for how poorly done and 2010-looking these reload animations are.
I'm not surprised the weapons aren't named properly despite SGW 1 and 2 had some weapons properly named. I guess real weapon name copyright is a lot stricter now. The only guns this game somewhat got right is the SVD, P99, and M9. Sure the brand names are incorrect but at least they got the designation correct so I give them that.
The slide animations for the pistols could be better, a little quicker at best, also I’m not a huge fan on the reloading of snipers from a lowered down weapon perspective, I feel it takes all the excitement and aesthetic of visually seeing you load a fresh mag into your gun ready to bring on more pain! Lol but seriously it just doesn’t look as good... But overall the game looks cool I definitely have to get it one day...

I can't believe I pre-ordered the third game. This looks even worse somehow. The sound design and animation looks like something you'd see in some crappy early access title, which I should note, there are early access titles made by much smaller companies that blow everything about this out of the water. I mean for Christ's sake they took out the single nice thing from the other games, that being seeing your character adjust the dials on the scope (for ranges never further than 300 meters, mind you). This is just sad.
The blowback and recoil animations look incredibly weak, they’re too slow, smooth and predictable, if that makes any sense. And don’t get me started on some of the reload animations, they vary from “ok” to straight up garbage. I actually thought they would begin climbing up the quality ladder, probably gaining more popularity and a bigger budget from their last game. But no, this is unfortunately more or less still trash.
Gamer on Fire Good? Look at the Ace Galil, look at the first machine gun. Magical handle and gun belt attached automatically on gun? Are they lazy? Even battlefield 3-4 had more detail

Look, it's not that the game is slightly futuristic/isn't based on any real conflict, it's that the game fails to have good animations and sounds... Arguably two of the most important aspects to having great gunplay. These videos are made so that people can judge these game based on their animations, models, and sounds. And they're doing exactly that... You shouldn't be surprised that people are bashing this game's weapons. And it's not even because there's no realistic weapon handling, it's that they're bad quality. There are lots of games with basic gun handling that are still really high quality...
Let me put it to you this way. The weapons are the primary focus of these videos. There is no other gameplay to speak of. As such, it is within our place to judge the contents of the video. Dare I say that's the primary intent. The animations are amateur, and in this day and age, especially with people like Brightside and Hypar on animation teams, that doesn't reflect well. The guns also seem to be modeled pretty well, it's a deep shame that we see only one side of them ever. Perhaps the right side isn't modeled? If true, that also reflects poorly in this day and age of full-polygon models. Secondly, it's largely an FPS. Guns are generally the primary point of gameplay and interaction with the world. If they look bad and feel bad, they have a direct impact on how the game feels. When you take away the one-shot one-kill bullet camera, you're left with someone who operates a weapon in a very un-sniperlike way. Not only breaking a cheekweld but the entire position to cycle the bolt is something no marksman strives to do. Seems like bad design to ignore the "sniper" part of Ghost Warrior. In this microcosm of just the guns and animations, the rest of the game doesn't matter at all, and we can judge based solely upon this content. It has been found wanting.
Proud owner of this inspired gun my wife bought me the taneotech from *immaglockdealer on wickr* T2 for Father’s Day and the MK18 upper as well so mad credit for her too.
That’s some lackluster animation for a 2019 game, even PUBG is better than this. The Desert Eagle kick makes my eyes bleed, the recoil looks like the player shaking the gun.

Good analysis i think the M82 is trying to mimmick the Barrett M82 buts its more close to the Barret M107A1 with a short barrel.

The blowback and recoil animations look incredibly weak, they’re too slow, smooth and predictable, if that makes any sense. And don’t get me started on some of the reload animations, they vary from “ok” to straight up garbage. I actually thought they would begin climbing up the quality ladder, probably gaining more popularity and a bigger budget from their last game. But no, this is unfortunately more or less still trash.

The animations aren’t too bad but the sounds during the reload are just terrible. Except the barrel-less glock. And good lord, the thumb goes through the shotgun during its reload.

Between the SGW series and Terminator Resistance it's been like the AA week for me. Don't get me wrong, I love the games, but....yeah. You can tell there's a lack of polish. At least with T:R though it's 50/50 future guns so they can't get those wrong. But this is legit /NUMBER 4/ in the Sniper series. How the fuck do you have an auto-cocking revolver that's NOT a Mateba? I mean if you're going there, GO THERE. I didn't even notice all the other issues fellow commenters have picked up.

Look, it's not that the game is slightly futuristic/isn't based on any real conflict, it's that the game fails to have good animations and sounds... Arguably two of the most important aspects to having great gunplay.
These videos are made so that people can judge these game based on their animations, models, and sounds. And they're doing exactly that... You shouldn't be surprised that people are bashing this game's weapons.
And it's not even because there's no realistic weapon handling, it's that they're bad quality. There are lots of games with basic gun handling that are still really high quality...
Let me put it to you this way. The weapons are the primary focus of these videos. There is no other gameplay to speak of. As such, it is within our place to judge the contents of the video. Dare I say that's the primary intent. The animations are amateur, and in this day and age, especially with people like Brightside and Hypar on animation teams, that doesn't reflect well. The guns also seem to be modeled pretty well, it's a deep shame that we see only one side of them ever. Perhaps the right side isn't modeled? If true, that also reflects poorly in this day and age of full-polygon models.
Secondly, it's largely an FPS. Guns are generally the primary point of gameplay and interaction with the world. If they look bad and feel bad, they have a direct impact on how the game feels. When you take away the one-shot one-kill bullet camera, you're left with someone who operates a weapon in a very un-sniperlike way. Not only breaking a cheekweld but the entire position to cycle the bolt is something no marksman strives to do. Seems like bad design to ignore the "sniper" part of Ghost Warrior.
In this microcosm of just the guns and animations, the rest of the game doesn't matter at all, and we can judge based solely upon this content. It has been found wanting.

That’s some lackluster animation for a 2019 game, even PUBG is better than this. The Desert Eagle kick makes my eyes bleed, the recoil looks like the player shaking the gun.
