One can argue the weapon variety was reduced in Metro: Exodus for simplicity sake of the weapon customization. But I still wish I could’ve seen other weapons from Last Light make it into Exodus.
Yeah. Lot of classics that were just lost/removed. Even sams story dlc didn’t add any classics but gave us some weird abominations like the Sammy. These designs still stand up just needs better quality reloads/firing animations
Bigun should have been in Exodus period, since they have redone the Helsing into a proper crossbow (with the optional pneumatic system). Missed chance honestly, but hey the gun customitation was a nice add for the game as feature, i would liked to have also a proper Preved (instead using the Valve in single shot conf) since in the Caspian Sea it could be useful (but not as the Tikhar with explosive-incendiary rounds).

I’m not certain that it is a model 1910 nagant, because the cylinder on the gun represented in game is ejected to the left. The nagant 1910 flipped his cylinder on the right because it was meant to be used as a support weapon for a sword/saber, you would hold it in your left hand. @@EtienneMorin-ot1hrOh this 100% isn't a Nagant, the Nagant looks nothing like that. This looks more like an American magnum revolver, of the kind made famous by Colt and Smith & Wesson in the 1960s and 70s.
Metro is on a league of its own when it comes to weapon animations. Sure, they're a bit stiff, but what they lack in polish, they make up in charm, creativity and attention to detail.
@amspook Metro Redux never was released in an exclusive platform, you are confusing with Exodus on releasing day, and even in this case the exclusivity is gone for some years.
The one thing I will say about Metro as a series, they did all of their weapons justice. It doesn’t matter what it is, it’s viable right to the end. And the variety for each weapon in how to use it is amazing. The revolver is still the best though and I’m not going to hear otherwise

Where is the explosion being contained? The bastard does not use a magazine, but a clip/strip that holds the bullets similar to the m1909 benet mercie machine gun or the Hotchkiss 1914 machine gun. The rounds are stripped off the clip and fed into the chamber, and the clip itself moves up and down depending on the round being fed.
@@mahbuddykeith1124 yes,but the gun would blow up because it lacks a chamber. Also the double stack problem i mentioned earlier and only having one barrel.
@@southernbrain691 It has a chamber. If you look at the model there’s a big fat part of the pipe that the bullet is loaded into like an open bolt machine gun. And again, the feeding mechanism moves up and down to interface with the barrel.
Not sure why a lot of these have completely open magazines……that was one of the major issues with the Chauchaut machine gun. Dirt and muck got trapped in the magazine opening causing feeding problems. I feel this would only be exacerbated by having the magazines nearly completely skeletonized
