This IWC would beca standout piece in any collection, Its a beautiful watch. And the engineering on that bracelet is the icing on top of a very nice cake. Great video James, thankyou.
Hi james this is a very classy watch understated but extremely well engineered the compromise with the letter 10 is not a deal breaker for me if the central disc was smaller I think it would ruin the balance of the watch . this is not a watch that suits my wrist size but looks great for you nice watch thanks John 👍
A very classy watch James. Great size as well...more compact than my Hamilton Khaki King champagne dial. I also really love that bracelet but you got lucky finding one to fit you so closely with no spare links. The bracelet looks like a mix of my CW Consort bracelet and my Axios Pathfinder bracelet. Well done!
I can see why you love this watch, and your enthusiasm is great 👍. I'm afraid, I just fixate on the missing part of the 10 when I look at the dial, my favourite IWC is the pilot mk Xii, I almost bought one in 1996, but it was just a bit too expensive and I bought a Datejust instead, always slightly regretted that decision.
That’s a beautiful watch! IWC are great watches $$$$ definitely want one someday lol. James I just put a reserve payment down on the Hanhart Preventor HD12. I saw this watch and wanted it. It’s not a bad price either I’m paying just over $1,200 US dollars for it. I’m on the waiting list it just came out I believe a few weeks ago. If you didn’t already you have to check it out. Let me know if you like the looks and specs on it. Thanks have a blessed day and again your IWC is a beautiful piece👍🏻👍🏻
I don't like the fact that they clearly wanted that central circle to be uninterrupted so cut off part of the 10, then stamped the date window out of it anyway.
Hi James, nice watch. Does the bracelet taper at all? I've got a slim wrist at 6.25inchs and i thing the end link to end link measurment maybe long, how is it?
@@WATCHingJames thanks. I've found a good deal on one with a strap, I do like the bracelet but I had an smp 300 ceramic without a taper and it felt a tad bulky, no wrong moves with this one
I hope whoever lost the argument in the design meeting, that meant the number 10 got clipped, got fired. Doing that on a watch that's otherwise so beautiful is a sin worthy of being number 11 on the tablets given to Moses.
This one has turned out to be one of my favorite and most worn watches.
Always good to see another watch enthusiast get a new watch. 🎉
Thanks for WATCHing
This one is crazy!
It certainly is

Thank you. It is a stand out in my collection
Good pickup James, easy on the eyes and easy on the wrist..enjoy it 👍
Thanks Peter

Thanks John. I am so happy with this one. Great to be able to share my thoughts about it too.

Happy you found a piece you love- that’s what it’s all about!!
Thank you. I really love it.
lovely looking watch. Well done James.
Thank you. I am very happy with this one.
That is a BRILLIANT watch man!!
It is gorgeous
Been waiting for this review James 🔥 glad to see you're still enjoying it and thank you for sharing your thoughts!
I really wanted to dive as deep as I could in this one. It is such an incredible watch.
I owned the standard mark xvi. . Loved that watch
That’s great to hear.

It does compromise the dial slightly. But I love it so much it does not bother me.
Every watch in my collection is one of my favorite watches. 😉
Then you have a very good collection 😁
Congratulations James! Its super pretty! The only thing I dont like is the date placement and date wheel color!
Thank you. I am so happy with it. It does have a few things I would change but love it so much those don’t seem to matter.
Greetings James. Sticking with my Damasko DS30. Although it's still to be delivered. The IWC is a great watch.
It is a great choice. I’m sure you will love it.

Oh wow. That is a great looking watch. Now I want one.
Very nice. Congrats on getting the watch. I hope to find a watch like that one day also. It’s a brilliant watch!
Thank you. It has turned out to be one of the very best watch buying decisions I’ve made.
What a beautiful watch. Your video makes me salivate. Congrats!
Thank you. I really wanted to show case this one the best that I could. I really love it.

They are a compromise. I’ve thought about that too.
I have a 2003 39mm IWC Silver Chrono Spitfire.
Bracelet and clasp is meh.
Looks amazing on the Haveston AAF EARTH-613 STRAP
I did consider the chrono version for a while. But I’m happy that I ended up with this one.
Hi James, nice watch. Does the bracelet taper at all? I've got a slim wrist at 6.25inchs and i thing the end link to end link measurment maybe long, how is it?
No taper. But I think this one would fit a smaller wrist. It just sits so nicely on wrist.

I have the black dial UTC version of this.
I’ve looked at that one too
Nice
Very nice
How's the build quality compared to the AliExpress watches
You can tell that it’s better.
The bracelet in particular.
But keeping in mind this is almost 20 years old.
I hope whoever lost the argument in the design meeting, that meant the number 10 got clipped, got fired. Doing that on a watch that's otherwise so beautiful is a sin worthy of being number 11 on the tablets given to Moses.
Definitely a couple of compromises. But I still love it.
