My best friend's parent growing up owned a few funeral homes and lived above their main one (1700's Victorian mansion). It's beautiful inside and out. They kept everything original, including all the woodwork, etc. When you walk in, you feel like you stepped back in time. I thought it was scary & weird they that lived there but the more I hung out there, the more normal it became to see bodies coming in. I eventually started to work for them when I was around 18 & finishing high school. Their son & I pretty much did everything except for embalming & dressing people. I've seen it all & wish I didn't see some of the things I have. I remember going to get a body at the hospital with my friend and there was a Wendy's directly across the street so after we got the body, my friend wanted something to eat so of course he went through the drive through in the hearse WITH the body in the back! haha. I came so close to becoming a mortician with their son but we both went in different directions. Seeing young people, kids & babies were rough (among other things) & I had trouble dealing with it. It takes a special person to deal with families, death & grief.
So the room you entered at about 8:05 was the prep room. Walls needed to be cleanable, ventilation fan for chem fumes (modern ventilation is wayyy better) and the toilet served as a cheap flush sink for blood and other waste removed during arterial and cavity embalming. It’s interesting that the prep room was thoroughly cleaned out compared with other abandoned FH explores where everything is left as is. Cool video!
Lol lol same my ass is scary.. I explored and abandon church in Topeka ks .. they also have a mall that's been abandoned close to five years... That has power.
We usually do, but most times we go out searching for spots !! So it’s a mixture Of knowing and not knowing history - but we’ll keep providing what we can, thank you !!
As someone who loves secondhand stuff i think it’d be hard for me not to accumulate stuff from abandoned places lol maybe i’m rude i don’t know. It’s just sitting wasting away though!!!
Those abandoned coffins, if cleaned up, might do some poor destitute families who cannot afford the extortionate prices a lot of American funeral homes charge. As usual a CRIMINAL waste of resources by a country who will one day come an awful cropper......
It’s not the dead I fear!! It’s the living
