It’s heartbreaking that all that beautiful furniture, paintings, etc are just left to rot. I can’t imagine the cost of upkeep, heat, electricity to keep this palace going. But to leave all that to rot is a crime. Thanks for this great explore. Stay safe

See this is why people love it when it's just you, this is the Dave we fell in love with. The respect you have for these properties is bar none above the rest and look what happens when you respect the place...it gives back to you in the form of it's raw beauty, the sheer magnificence wasn't worthy of anyone else but you!! What great treasures were left behind. And the memories that stain the walls are but a moment frozen in time.

This mansion needs to be saved!!! As a child, I always wondered what these mansions looked like and how the people lived back in the 17 & 1800's. Thank you guys for letting me explore with you!!! It is so sad that people just let these places go to rot in the elements. Everything, from the beautiful grounds, to the furniture to the paintings and tapestries, are so awesome! I think of it as a Cinderella story!!! They sure don't make things to last through the ages like they used to! I am in awe!!!

The cost of those repairs or even just the material if you did the labor yourself is crazy. Then go get the place listed and now you must get approval just to clean the bloody window covers! There is zero advantage for the owner of a place to have it listed. No one comes and fixes things if you can't afford to and they nearly promise to put rules on you that make it impossible got you to fix it.

If you looked closer, the highchair is like the one we had from my granddad's time, ours folded and turns into a seated table with wheels. That one folded, had wheels but I have to ho back an see what it unfolded into. I've been through this mansion 5x with other explorers an they've not been in this part, so, so far I'm loving it!! The stained glass glove represents strength, the stocking, grace. That's according to my aunt who's in her late 90s who's been making stain glass for over 60yrs.

Fantastic explore, thank you 👍❤️ some of the heraldry symbols on the stained glass - a boar = emblem of the fiercely combative, an arm in armour = someone who has served as a leader, leg in armour = Isle of Man? hand = faith, fleur-de-lys = Christian trinity, if it’s a black eagle, it represents salvation, redemption and resurrection and a man of action, the lion represents strength and valour. Am not sure all these are correct though 👍😁

They are beautiful and should be save. You can see how much crystal in each piece has been used. Even the bath room suits should be saved. Everything should be if I am being honest.. I wonder who owns the property or do the bank? Usually when a bank owns it it is left to rot . Such a shame. Great to see this place has not been trashed like so many others. I would love to have seen Mark there with you though, maybe on the next explore. Thank you so much, well done. 💕🇦🇺

Love this explore but the gallery room! Love the shutters in these old places - look like the side moldings of the window frames
