Out of all the small handful of explorers in the uk I must admit you are my favorite for many reasons. I won't get into it but suffice it to know that you do what you do well. You have integrity (which I'm very big on), respectful, honest, responsible, unassuming. You show innocence and humility. You care about the past occupants and their belongings. I know you have too much to show and some stuff may get cut at the final edit but your audience loves the tiny details. And even though you yourself may not hear the spirits that may still be there, we can.

Hello David - Sandra here from across the pond in California. This home
and the story behind it really grabbed me - it brought tears to my eyes.
I cannot imagine what the elderly woman experienced when she was taken
away from this home - her home - to be reduced to spending her final days
on earth in an institutional environment ... they should have let her remain here
    through her last day.
The Powers That Be over here are so obsessed with pursuit of the Almighty Buck that it
overrides a proper appreciation for architecture as exceptional as this home. With no consideration for the historical heritage of an old building, they'll just tear it down so they can build a five-story stack & pack modern building of apartments in it's place that will house hundreds of people they can make money off of by renting the apartments. By demolishing old buildings, they erase the architectural and historical heritage for which they demonstrate no regard. The first time I watched one of your videos, I subscribed.
I venture to say that you have no idea what it's like to be on the receiving end of watching
what you do. I am able to live vicariously through you by tagging along on your excursions to marvelous places like the home in this video, and I thank you for that. The way you film your explorations and the thoughtfulness you express for the folks and their belongings
left behind is something I feel too for people who once occupied the places who are no more. I wonder, who lived there? What did the people do there? Did someone fall in love behind those walls? I suppose in one sense, each place you discover and share with us as you tour through them reminds us that our own mortality is an unavoidable reality that each of us must eventually face - and that reality is evidenced by the homes that someone built and the belongings inside they once used - the buildings and stuff still exists, but the people do not - it's quite a reckoning we each must face.
The architecture of this home was stunning - that ceiling in the first big room took my breath away. You'd never see something that glorious here in the United States. Thank you, Dave for showing us this place and for reading this novel I just wrote! As always, be careful in all that you do and take care.

Why just let the woman there ? if she was 92 I can imagine she could not take care for her self any more I gues she was taken to be take care for at one day life stops for every one and I think she deserve to be taken care off and not leave her in the house to die on her own .

One feature they did was of a photographer that took pictures of lost, forgotten and derelict residences that still have most if not all the paintings and frescos they still have and I know he didn't get a lot of them but I know one thing for sure, this one you found has never been seen by other outsiders! So so cool! I plan on taking a very long holiday over there just for this!

I would give anything to leave something even half as specail to my children and yet would they understand the sheer significance of it? How do you teach the young the importance of such things.
