Thank you for this visit. For information: the villa has since been emptied and work has been carried out. A new family has moved there in 2023. The land has been cleared
Many people, as they age tend to effectively use less and less of their home. They lack the strength and mobility to keep it all clean and neat. The parts they still actively use are the spaces that remain uncluttered and relatively neat. Thank you for sharing this home with us.🖤🇨🇦
That was so adorable how you tucked the teddy bear in the bed and made it look comfortable . You're such good hearted person I can just tell by watching all your videos. Treating everything with respect. 🤗🤗❤️
I love this guy through his eyes most everything he looks at is beautiful, and that's great most people would say it's junk. Please keep up the good work you're the best.. Gods speed stay safe.....
I can’t figure this place out!?! Some rooms we’re unlivable as they were sooo very dirty, messy & unorganized! But some were pristine & livable! It makes me wonder if vandals have come through & destroyed most of the rooms but left others untouched?!? Thank you Leslie, Jordy & Celine for sharing this wonderful property with us! I loved it ❤️
So sad. I keep my house spotless and have a beautiful garden but my adult children are only interested in money and with online banking they don't even have to come in person to get it. The few nice things I have I keep polished , the silver polished even though no one comes to dinner, plants everywhere. When I die it will just get all rifled through and tossed around looking for money. I have decided I need to move to a poor country where my money, as small as it is, can do some good to a poor village. I would rather give it to people who would appreciate it, and who know what real suffering is, as I do. Ashes to ashes and dust to dust at the end.
Heather, I am so sad, as well to see how you know the pain of selfish children as many of us do. I agree with your plans. Better to give a little to those who will appreciate your kindness. It will give you the most joy.
Heather, its time to let your children know how you feel and hold nothing back. Adult children are busy though no excuse not to visit. No visit ...no money simply put these children need to understand you gave them life and they need to appreciate you more. My daughter doesn't call often, but when she does she thanks me always for giving her life, and I let her know how I am feeling and when I feel neglected speak up honey, your children need to know how you feel.
Here in north carolina, U.S.A., we call that plant the silver dollar or money plant. What you see are seed pods. They have a lot of small purplish blooms. If some of those you're looking at are a dull grey/brown just rub it gently between your finger and thumb. The outside will peel off and leave the silvery one that is so beautiful in arrangements.
That dry plant with the silvery round discs is called Lunaria Biennis. AKA Money Plant, Silver Dollar Plant, Honesty, Moonwort or Flower Seed. Very easy to grow. The seeds are in the silvery discs. Outside, when the wind blows the silvery discs off, the plant re-seeds itself. We called it Money plant and grew a few plants in out New England garden.
You’d think someone would want some of the furniture and the chandeliers are gorgeous! Loved the wallpaper on the walls up the staircase.. enjoyed the video 😊
The place was gone thru by someone looking for something. Drawers and doors were left open. I don't know that the mess was all done by owner. Could have been owner's children, looters, etc. By the way, Leslie, you are such a sweet and gentle soul. Some day you will make your partner very happy. I enjoy watching you.
I agree, it looks like certain rooms were just ransacked. For the other rooms to be so clean I think it's someone looking for specific things. Maybe someone who knew where or what rooms she would have kept things of value or money. She may have kept money in the home more than a bank for convenience.
Hi Lesley plus good evening, from a rather chilly Dorset. I look forward so much to watching you, on your journeys to people's homes. Love the stately homes. This viewing, lots of dry rot. Especially the woodwork in the lounge. Great for closeups on photography. To see how 17 years has dried out the wood. From lack of airing. The Madame of the house definitely liked wallpaper especially the bedroom. Would I want to wakeup to that every morning. Loved how the cobweb in the middle of the hallway. Left a long Web. Loved the music of the guitar. Could listen to the Classic romantic mystic melody. But very interesting Leslie. See you next week. Enjoy, start safe always. ❤️🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔💕🔔🎼🌍🌎🌏🌐
Another road trip! Love it. Wouldn't it be great to take a glimpse of these beautiful mansions or homes back in their glory days and the people that lived there, before they became decade and rundown. Thanks for another wonderful gem 💎 😊. SoCal 🌞
Hi Lesley, this plant you don't know the name of in Germany we call it "Silberblättchen". First it blooms in lilac flowers but when it gets it's seeds the dry silver leafs appear to hold the seeds. These "Silberblättchen" remind me of my childhood and my grandma, because she had them in her garden. I really love your videos and the way you treat all these abandoned places with such repect! Really good work!
In Canada and UK it is 'Honesty' or Lunaria. I loved it in my grandparents garden as a child, and grow it now hoping that I would have grandkids around to enjoy it. It blooms so early in the spring as it is a biennial, and the lovely pink flowers are so cheery.
In the Netherlands it's called "Judaspenning", which is a rather sinister name for such a nice plant. You can translate it into something like "Judas' pennies" and it stands for the 30 coins that Judas received for betraying Christ.
Cool...such a beautiful, and sad, explore...so much left behind. Another fantastic explore...and great to see Jordy. He hasn't been with you much lately..so happy he's back 😁 thanks guys 😘❤

Good evening Leslie, from Virginia Beach Va...I love your videos as much as I do Explomo's...You give so much respect for these abandoned places like Maureno does God bless you and stay safe 💖
Maybe one reason the place is a mess. Someone pass away, hopefully not the child. The needle was by the child bed. They were so sad and didn't want to keep the house clean. Except the rooms that were important to them. The way you tucked the bear in ,shows you would be a good father one day. I am watching this on father's day.
Yes. Also, when people age and become sickly, they develop mobility issues, and sometimes dementia. My sister is young and sickly, but still has healthier phases to balance out the not-so-healthy times. Her place gets pretty messy when she's in too much pain to stand for long periods of time. But she has friends and family who help her clean 2 or 3 times each year. It must be horrible for these elderly people all addled and dying in a messy house with nobody to help them take care of themselves through their final year(s) of life.
@@XenaBe25 Your sister is lucky to have people who are willing to help. I have work with older people and sometimes nobody wants to help them. Even family.

Calvados is a French fruit brandy made from apples and or pears. Very delicious. My Grandma use to mix it with ice cream for a dessert when she had company. I still use maps.

Silver plant is called a"Silver Dollar". My family is from Sicily and over there as much as my family here grow them and cut them low to the ground and hang them up upside-down to dry and there you go..pretty dried Silver Dollars.
That dried plant is called a money plant. My mom grew them in her garden. Very popular because they dry easily. That’s a seed pod of the plant, you peel off the outer layer and hang it upside down to dry.
The plant is a money tree . You’ve got a new subscriber in me👍, glad your channel showed up in my feed. I like how you try to show as much about the people who lived in the house, as the house itself .

French manor house was cozy cute house to live in . Sad they just left it messy and to decay. 👍🏻👏🏻🥰
Must have been A beautiful place to live in its heyday. Hopefully somebody will restore it back that way in the future

Love watching your abandon house movies, very interested 🙂
Calvados is a French fruit brandy made from apples and or pears. Very delicious. My Grandma use to mix it with ice cream for a dessert when she had company. I still use maps.
Enjoyed your video very much, thank you for sharing with us 🤗
I love the way you do these videos. Also the music is a nice touch

My husband just brought a bunch in. It’s called the money plant…Lunaria or Faux Silver Dollar.
I thought they were an Asian plant, like the "lantern" plant.
@@heidileitz-putikka8095 Lunaria are native to Central and Southern Europe and North America.
The plant is a money tree . You’ve got a new subscriber in me👍, glad your channel showed up in my feed. I like how you try to show as much about the people who lived in the house, as the house itself .
