I went to the world premiere at comic con, and watching this movie in a crowd full of Aqua Teen fans was amazing. The entire room started cheering during multiple points and it felt like I was watching an avengers movie. So good

nah man i did that err number my first watching. they timed the texts oddly with the movie which was dope too. the spoiler text they sent pissed me off tho😂

I stopped slacking and finally popped in my release day copy and holy shit this was incredible. I will absolutely be watching again back to back with Colon.

I have the same complaint about the plutonians, they're some of my fav characters from athf and I was a little dissapointed when I didn't saw them in the movie 😭
But it's still a great movie, I rlly hope they make another movie(or a new season👀👀👀)

I'm aware of the film's shortcomings but I think I'm a little more forgiving of them than other people. The animation might be a little too smooth in some areas, and the film may take itself a bit too seriously sometimes, but it didn't ruin the movie for me at all (I'm not even sure if I really consider those to be "problems" but I can see why it may turn some people off). It was an interesting take on the show and I was just happy to see Aqua Teen return more or less the same way I remember without too many harmful changes or updates.
Edit: Also, the characters literally go to space, that would have been the perfect opportunity to have the Plutonians fly by on screen.

Plantasm doesn't even compare to the death metal theater snack intro in the first movie. This seems made by different minds completely.
It wasn't a bad movie but my only complaints are the animation (it is too good), the timing, and the attempt to be topical when the original show did that very rarely and when they did do it it fit in very well.
i haaaaaaaaaated the way it looked. aqua teen's cheapness is what always made it so hilarious to me. my friend and i laughed maybe once during the whole thing, i was so sad.

Didn't mind the animation. But it didn't really capture the heart of the show imo. Colon movie felt just like the show.
@@boodahbass I liked how it looked because it was too much for a cheap looking show. I hated the Mooninites. Err to me wore out his welcome in the John Ron Donaldson episode.
But when I heard the beginning of “Have A Drink On Me” and Carl asked Meatwad to hand him a bottle I loved it! Anything with Carl was great!
I feel like this one was more plot-based rather than focusing more on the humour. I mean the humour was there though and my god I fucking love the Mooninites, they were a favourite part for me tbh. I was shocked with the animation though, but it was 2022 so idk what I’d expect. I love how since it was released in 2022 they have to include modern topics like multi-billionaires and cancel culture. Aqua Teen forever!!! 🗣️🗣️🗣️‼️

Am I the only one that thought the movie felt like the movie was written by A.I.? Neal is the worst character ever added to the series. So generic and hidden behind a ridiculous paywall.

Loved the movie.
I was so hype for this when it came out I made it a whole thing with my girlfriend and some homies all together drinking watching it. Was fantastic. The mooninites kept texting me even until the next day randomly I was just out and about and they were still going.

i hate this movie because it felt like it was trying too hard to be like a south park special, when aqua teen was never about being topical. i laughed maybe twice, and it was during the scenes when they were just talking like the old show. really hope they step it up with the new season thats being made

Hey! you might remember me from the comment talking about the monster thing from the iceberg vid.
This movie was fun but it was disappointing about the lack of the main 3 characters. I remember Neil getting 2x screentime than shake and meatwad and I counted 3 times the main 3 actually interacting when Carl's not around and shake and meatwad seem basically glued to Carl in this film ( i enjoy when he's rude to the aqua teens than A aqua teen) he was in the first movie when he needed too but in this he's in it way too much. And yes I would've liked a side plot with other characters like in the first film. It'e be co If they had a full team effort while aqua teens are in space then the other way around.
Aquateen forever phantasm whs really fun. I'd love a show with animation from this movie. It was so clean. Also review videos are good to answer your question. It gives people an idea of what something is like without giving away too much of the plot. Inignoct and urr ware hilarious in this movie too. No spoilers.🤫

That's a tough question to answer. I think both movies are amazing in their own ways. In terms of story, I think Plantasm nails it. In terms of humor, the first movie takes the cake.

It's really nice to see a very positive review of the movie. There have been people who have been hating on the movie, claiming that "This isn't the Aqua Teen like they remember", "The plot is too political", "The gang aren't together a lot" or "the 2007 one is a lot better!"
While I do get that they had have a lot of issues with the film, there are those who tends gets very toxic about it.
In my opinion, Colon Movie for Theaters has a lot more problems than Plantasm. Dave Willis stated that they were working on the show itself, Squidbillies and 12oz Mouse at the same time the movie. Don't get me wrong, I love that movie too. But, I understood the creator's struggle.
The only parts of film that I felt like it affected me are the mugging setup and the ending and post credit scene. Personally, I considered the scene with Frylock being stabbed and disfigured the most heartbreaking moment in Aqua Teen. As for the ending... felt like a huge slap to the face. It literally left a stab wound feeling in my heart for days. And the post credit scene was a bit of a jumpscare to me.
I think the problem to some people that said awful things about the movie, was them taking the film itself and the trailer too seriously. I fell for the trailer as well, but still love it regardless. It's an "Aqua Teen" movie after all. No manner if it's perfect or not, Plantasm is one of those movies that absolutely deserves a second chance.
Another thing that those Aqua Teens fans needs to understand is that they really need to be thankful that the film wasn't canceled by WBD. After all that mess with HBO Max and layoffs, there were concerns about the movie being axed for vaulted or tax write off just like with Batgirl, Scoob: Holiday Haunt or even Final Space. It's really a blessing that Plantasm made it through the purge from the CEO.
So I do hope anyone give this film a second chance. We never know if Aqua Teen will ever return or this is this a very last time will ever see from them. :)
Honestly, I try to keep my expectations low when it comes to new music and shows, but I was very optimistic about Plantasm. I believed that the film was going to be refreshing, and it was in my opinion. I'm personally a big fan of when creators or artists change up their formula and innovate their craft. Hearing or watching the same sound or show constantly gets old for me. Hopefully, more people give the film a chance and try to look for the positives.
I agree, the mugging setup was pretty heartbreaking to watch. The ending threw me off a bit too, but It wouldn't be Aqua Teen without some main character deaths. Thank goodness the series doesn't believe in canon. Very surprised that Carl managed to make it through the film without dying.
Hopefully we'll get to see some new Aqua Teen again in the future unless WBD continues to kick the bucket.

But I also happened to be in the fandom side of Aqua Teen. I've made up headcannons and scenarios of the characters. There's also an AU I've made, but that a thing for another time.
Also... I'm really obsessed with Frylock.
With that aside, I have yet to see the special features from the film. Looking forward it one day. I'm glad that I became a fan in time for this film and the Aquadonk Side Pieces shorts. :3
I've been a die hard fan of Aqua Teen since it aired when I had to sneak downstairs to watch it. Been waiting to watch this since release but I wanted to support it's creators and buy the 4k copy.

I watched the movie just one day after its release. The only thing about the movie that I don't like is nearly constant appearances of the Mooninites. At one point I was just like: "No, I wanna watch you suffering" (I'm talking about the scene when they lost the battle with Aqua Teens)

The joke was amusing the first time but then it got old when they did it 6 more times.
I've been a huge fan and of the show since season 4 I think. I loved the first movie. But unfortunately I feel like plantasm was a swing and a miss. Leaving me worried about the upcoming season revival.

🤨 as a long time fan of the show, I must say this movie was NOT very funny. It’s clear that the show creators are no longer in the same head space they were in during the shows run. The first movie was SOOO much better than this.

i'm actually worried abt the animation thing because with everything that's happening in warner bros what if they just rush the metalocalypse and venture bros movies for the sake of finishing the movie and not really caring abt the animation.
The only thing we can do is try to be optimistic and hope that neither of those projects are rushed out.

Its a stupidly shit movie, and i don't mean it in a good way. Its boring, feels nothing like athf with that animation that doesn't fit the show one bit and a reddit humor with no trace of the show's great comedy. Feels like they boycoted their own movie and the directors represented themselves with the mooninites saying its a waste of money.
Yeah I've seen it on a free site and I've been trying to get thru it.... Fell asleep during it, lol

ATHF Plantasm ending disappointed me. Because how dare [adult swim] kill off one of Best characters ever seen. Really, the animation was Amazing, the plot 10/10 but the ending Is so traumastic and disappointed. i really hate that movie ending.
