- The Beamish Living Museum held the 'Our Friends Electric' event from 4th to the 7th April 2013. The Beamish Home Fleet Trams and visitors Lisbon No.730 and Glasgow 1068 were in service and delighted everyone at the event.
I was there on the Friday and Saturday and was lucky enough to see the unloading of late arrival Glasgow 1068 on Friday before entering service on Saturday morning,
The event itself was Brilliant with the weather cold but dry on the Friday, Dry and reasonably warm on the Saturday.( has Spring finally arrived ) The Saturday night Evening Tram Parade and Photo session was very well organised and enjoyable.
Many Thanks to everyone involved for a well run event, I am sure everyone enjoyed themselves. Additional Thanks to all the Drivers,Conductors and the Ladies and Gentlemen in period dress for doing such a great job at the Photo session, and for your patience with us photographers.
A selection of Photos from the event can be found at

Thank you, I'm glad you liked the video.I hope you manage to pay a visit to Beamish. Its a great place and I'm sure you would enjoy it.
At 7:45 you can hear the carousel organ from there
It carried the sound a lot doesn’t it?
Superb video. I knew of Crich Tramway Museum, but didn't know about this museum until watching your video. I wish we had streetcar museums of this caliper here in the States. There is not a single one that comes even close to this.
Thank you very much, I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
Good video
Great video - really like the fact that you cover tram events too - man after my own heart! Is that a Gateshead/Grimsby and Immingham tram near the start?
Nice video
Thanks very much. Yes I enjoy being around the Trams as much as the Railways. Its a pity work gets in the way so often. You are quite right it is Grimsby and Immingham tram 26.
Thanks Guys. Your so right saying there is so much to see. It was a great event, I really enjoyed it and hope you did too.
I agree Andrei, The Glasgow tram looked just perfect, In fact everything at the event looked great, including the walrus tache :-)
Excellent video Tommy, I really have to visit there one day. Perfect conditions for it, and you did very well to catch that Glasgow tram arriving.
Magnificent collection of trams and beautiful video. Thank you Tommy.
Philippe
