So many good games, I just got Nam 1975 snk, phantasy star, octopath traveller and mario odyssey cant wait to dive into these for the first time. Great vid btw, number 1 youtube channel in my opinion

Congratulations on your switch collection ! My switch collection is still growing as well. Smash ultimate, Zelda BOTW, Fate Extella Link, and Bayonetta 1-2 , Super Mario Odyssey , Street Fighter 2 Ultra the final Challengers , Bloodstained curse of the moon and many more to come!
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is my go-to game on the Switch, it's my favourite Switch game and became one of my favourites of all time. Great video!

5:35 Right there with you John, ARMS is criminally underrated, and it's probably one of the most accessible fighting games out there.
I have code of princess on the 3ds. You are criminally underselling how good this game is. Quick story mode....but the variety of playable characters is insane. Its pick up and play bliss

I just wanted to send out a heartfilled thanks to you for your show. It always puts me in a great mood i love watching you and your friends and family and hearing about your memories and givin a platform for me to remember my own. My three closest videogamer friends i grew up with are no longer with me i lost my best friend and my brother in december of 2015 and my cousen is too into heroine now a days. Sadly i am the only one of the four of us that are keeping our videogames memories alive but through your show you make me feel like one of the guys and seeing you all interact brings back great memories for me thank you again man i love your show.

The Nintendo Switch is my favorite system of all time already just because it allows me to play games with my current lifestyle, plus its library of amazing games. Most of the games in this video are some of the greats, some that will go down in history as the greatest.
I used to watch your channel felt like almost 10 years ago, and also used to listen to the all gen gamers podcast as soon as they came out. I was only 13 and I'm almost 23 now but i'm glad your videos haven't changed. Also nice collection I just got back into playing games and the switch is a console i've been needing to pick up.

I too just needed BOTW. but after beating it, and having the DLC force me (or so I thought) to reset and loose EVERYTHING I got turned off. But its STILL a great play!

I totally agree with you on Arms. It seems to be a forgotten game from Nintendo on the Switch but it's really fun. I would love to see a cool story mode in a sequel

Finally getting a Switch in a few weeks!! I was wanting to wait until the rumors of a new model was true around E3 time, but I can't wait any longer. Too many great games to ignore, and I just couldn't hold back the waiting anymore.
You’re so lucky you never played Golf Story. I’m not a golf fan but this is one of the best games for the switch in general. I played the hell out of it. So creative and funny.
So many games but no Taiko No Tatsujin? You should give it a try once. Best J-Pop soundtrack in a rhythm game ever.

I’m 39 and when I finished breathe of the wild I felt the exact same way meaning my favorite game of all time . It’s crazy but it really really is I totally agree 100 percent . Great video as always . Until next time 👈

I was late to the party on the Switch and was not going to get one at all, it just didn't excite me.
But it was getting loads of love on youtube, so I sold a bunch of games and bit the bullet and got one... and they are amazing.
It's the console of choice for me these days, and same with Breath of the Wild... I was sick of Zelda, but again heard it was amazing so... picked it up and WOW! it's now one of my all time fav games! Great system for sure!
John I completely agree with you on Arms! So underrated.
My Switch library dwarfs my other console collections and even tops my other portables. The biggest game changer was the removal of region locking which means we've got access to numerous imports (digital & physical) many of which support English.
I'm so happy about the Ys series finally getting the recognition that it deserves here in the west.
Playing Ys 8 on Switch made me return to Ys 7 and buy all the other Ys games on Steam. Looking forward to news on 9.

There are so many great games on switch, with so many coming out later as well. I don’t have my collection with me at the moment but there are plenty of games in my library that I’d recommend that weren’t in this video, I’ll try and get it in later
i own a gameboy color, i bougth it back in the day for pokemon but apart from that i was never really a nintendo fan. i cant say now im a huge nintendo fan but i own a switch and i love it and i can apreciate nintendo quality. zelda botw really took me too in a way i wasnt expecting. it was a only game that captured the same feeling of exploration i had with skyrim. amazing game, i have huge expectation for the next main zelda game

I had never heard of Shantae until 1/2 genie hero came out on the switch. It is my new standard for platformers. I love that game.

Legit trying to restrain myself from buying Thousand Year Door today. I’m trying to finish Tales of Vesperia on Switch (Thank you for the awesome recommendation by the way) and Sekiro comes out on Friday. I think I’ll just watch this to fulfill my urge lol.

Isn't it crazy to think that this month already marks the 2nd Anniversary of the Switch and Breath of the Wild?! TWO years... already... incredible.
Last week i ordered some asian/japan exclusive retail compilation games: psikyo collection vol 1 and 2, phoenix wright ace attourney trilogy, darius cozmic collection. And i hope for even more compilation for the switch in the future.
Jesus. 1 second in and I'm salivating. Collection looks nice, too ;)

It's rare now to see a Nintendo switch these days I saw 3 Nintendo switches at Walmart but didn't have the $ hopefully to get one this week

Mario games get good grades because of nostalgia. They aren't as fun as before when we where kids with the n64. I can't play through them anymore. It's just to easy and for children. Tales of vesperia and persona 5 are really good and worth to buy. They are still excellent games for kids and deserve the grade but they should grade them separately for kids and for adults. Breath of fire awakening was something else. I loved it. Always will. Zelda series got a good balance between adults and kids.
I just found your videos and have really enjoyed them. ^-^ Also, just got a Switch and BoTW and Link's Awakening. I'm super excited to finally get to play these games. Wanna buy another but debating between Odyssey or Luigi's Mansion 3.

*STARLINK* I got the game only bc it was in sane for $12 on the eshop and couldn’t turn that down... well... it’s REALLY GOOD! Like really really good! What a shame it didn’t do better bc the story, graphics, mechanics, controls and gameplay are def a SOLID 8/10 for sure

It's one of ny very fave games of all-time. so much charm in it, and such a fun adventure
Zelda I put 200 + hours into it, just as Splatoon 2, this says something why this game is so good online.

I used to play drums in a metal band so I thought gal metal would be right up my alley but the hit detection for your hits is absolutely broken. It also is super arbitrary what drum or cymbal you’ll hit. Sometimes your right hand acts as the pulse on a crash and sometimes it’s the snare. The only control mode that lets you access the whole kit is in touch screen mode and it’s very difficult to play like that.
Arms? MORE LIKE FISTS!!

Of course you would have Ys VIII! I thought about getting that game many times but settled upon Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Tales of Vesperia. I hope I don't regret this decision like Ys III back in the days of the Super Nintendo.
You gotta try golf story. It has really funny dialogue and is just a good time overall.
Is the golf hard in it ?
@@rickycain9466 The first.few stages are easy, the last 3 are a little harder, easy enough though. In free play mode you can adjust the wind, slope, amd make the cups larger, so it's up to your personal taste.
Two important games are missing from the Street Fighter collection: Pocket Fighter and Puzzle Fighter
Just beat YS VIII Lacrimosa of Dana on Switch the other day, fantastic game all around. The port job is pretty bad though honestly. The dynamic resolution scaling is so agressive that even in a static shot of characters talking around a campfire has the game visibly jumping between like 360 - 480p. No texture filtering, no anti-aliasing and the distance at which enemy animations are halved is so horribly short. Can't imagine the ps4 version has issues like that.
I still loved it though. So it has that going for it.
I would give my right arm for that Xenoblade box set, would you like my right arm?
Still not got mine... But when I eventually do, I'll be looking to pick up that TOKI game.
I don't like the boring case spines though, it looks tidy I guess, but almost as boring as our PS2 spines here in UK.
Megadrive, NES, SNES... Those shelves are a pleasure to look over, like looking at arcade marquees

didn't know Ys 8 had a collectors edition for switch, the ps4 collectors edition was sold out when i tried to pre order. i love the Ys series and the sound tracks so i needed the collectors edition to add to my other collectors editions Ys games. in the end I had to order the steam copy collectors edition and preordered ps4 copy to make my own special edition set lol
Kw3str I also didn’t know Ys 8 has a collector’s edition for Switch and I didn’t know SNK 40th anniversary collection has a collector’s edition as well. We both learned our lesson.
