The Vern tents are perfectly fine…..as long as you use them within their limits just like all good tents. It looks like some folks have over hyped them little as if they are a true mountaineering tent which they are not. I think that’s what all the chatter is about….cheers!
Yep agree totally , i never think there is a one tent fits all scenarios and these as you say have their limitations . Thx for the comments
Great first impressions video matie. Looks like such a quality tent and I'm sure you can't wait to get out in her. She'll see you well through the winter months I'm sure. Look forward to see it in action!
Lets get one sorted soon eh
Well done, a no nonsense video. Gained another subscriber 👍
Appreciate that mate , thx for your kind words
Loved your honest review. And Actually thanks for not mentionning the Vern 1 saga ! lol ! It looks such a great tent. Just subscribed to your channel. Cheers from Canada !
Thx for the kind comments and the sub - really appreciate it
I like the tent, but will need to see what the sales bring, and in time of course it should drop in price. Thanks for the video, very helpful.
Thx- it is pricy but it is quality i can vouch for that on 1st impressions . Proof of performance will be when i get to test it in testing conditions.
Awsome tent based on my personal view it's perfect...
Thx - yep looking forward to putting it through its paces.. size is spot on - hits the sweet spot as i say in the vid
Cross-pole should/would be better under the 2 length-wise poles
Thx for the advice
It does look to be a good tent. I do think though they should have retained the extended storm protection over both entrances as they did on the original Vern 1. Seems an odd decision to drop that feature.
I cant really compare to vern 1 as dont know too much about that model but i guess they must have had their reasons!!. Thx for the feedback
Really love the look of the Vern 1. Quite interested in the pc version
be interested to know you thoughts on the PC version hedley?
Lots of bad reviews about this tent but mine is great I cant fault it, but then there are fans of other makers out there that will look for faults as always but they had been trying the tent out in 40 plus winds and it does mention in the booklet that comes with tent about double poling it for more strength also it does not really need seam sealing but users on here have mentions about sealing the areas were the toggles are as will let tiny droplets in but it does let much in and nothing to worry about and im yet to get out in the rain with mine as of yet
Thx for your feedback useful to know
@@JurassicRambler you're welcome, myself looking at other reviews and some have not bothered seam sealing and the tent have done ok, also someone was out in theirs and I think the winds was at about 31 mph and higher gusts and it did well, myself wont go out in very high winds as I like a camp fire also I do astrophotography so the tent will do me well
I absolutely love mine 😀🏕
Yep great tent
like that tents seems pretty decent don't like price though
Hi Ian
Yep agree the price is steep and it was very pushing my limit to pay for a tent but have to admit im so impressed by it. I think it will come into its own as we move into the winter months for sure.
Paul
i dont do to bad with my cloud peak 2 but iv moded it thicker poles etc
@@ianwilde1800 great tent ian - i love mine .. sounds like a good mod
