I know what you're like! 💩 Great video matey. I did think the drone was going to smash into your tent when it was doing that circular shot. I do want to go to Dartmoor, must get out there sometime.

The Vern tents are perfectly fine…..as long as you use them within their limits just like all good tents. It looks like some folks have over hyped them little as if they are a true mountaineering tent which they are not. I think that’s what all the chatter is about….cheers!

Awsome tent based on my personal view it's perfect...

Lots of bad reviews about this tent but mine is great I cant fault it, but then there are fans of other makers out there that will look for faults as always but they had been trying the tent out in 40 plus winds and it does mention in the booklet that comes with tent about double poling it for more strength also it does not really need seam sealing but users on here have mentions about sealing the areas were the toggles are as will let tiny droplets in but it does let much in and nothing to worry about and im yet to get out in the rain with mine as of yet

Cross-pole should/would be better under the 2 length-wise poles

Nice remote spot there, always windy though. Last time I was up, there were people shooting grouse, but no temporary access restriction in place.

Really love the look of the Vern 1. Quite interested in the pc version

It does look to be a good tent. I do think though they should have retained the extended storm protection over both entrances as they did on the original Vern 1. Seems an odd decision to drop that feature.

I was looking at these recently but they don’t seem to have the Large size. Do you know if they have just run out and don’t list it for that reason? It goes from M to XL on their site. I like the reviews I’ve seen on this. I was wondering what size you are. I’m 5’8” and 40” chest.

I was lucky enough to get two of these fantastically warm jackets before 2020 when they were only 79.99 pound each im so glad i did they are just so warm i have never felt cold wearing this jacket and i camp from march til November great review

Ah Paul, sorry about the stove issue. That sucks! Fair play for staying though. I hope you didn't need to ditch them steaks. Looked like a nice little spot you had there. My dream one day is to walk the South West Coastal Path. Gotta do it before I get too old though. I have to say, I'm not a fan of the Cascade Wild table. Nice and light, but always found it uneven and a bit of a faff. I can recommend the SOTO Field Hopper. Whilst it's expensive and not as light, it's dead easy to put up and pack away. It works really well.
