- ShadyPenguinn here, and YuGiOh is back! We're tackling Yugioh! Legacy of the Duelist Link Evolution, but this time, we're playing Yugioh on Switch! There's an incredibly fun mode called Battle Pack that allows us to play in sealed and draft formats, which are my FAVORITE formats for any card game! And the best part, you can play YuGiOh online with other duelists! Enjoy! :]

Legacy of the Duelist Link Evolution MIGHT just be the next consistent thing here, as online battles with THIS many available cards and modes is my kinda thing. You had game @ 12:40. Search for The Tricky, tribute summon for caius, banish the opponent's xyz, discard 1 to SS Tricky, 4400 to your opponent's face and a one way trip to the Shadow Realm

I'm going to explain the new master rules to anyone who doesn't know them:
1: Extra Monster Zones are where you summon Extra Deck Monsters, as you said. Each player can only use 1 Extra Monster Zone at a time unless a Link Monster points at the other one from a main monster zone (if you don't understand that read on). If an Extra Deck monster is special summoned from the Graveyard of Banish Pile, it goes to a main monster zone of your choice.
2: There are now Link Monsters. They have Link Arrows which point at other monster zones. Zones pointed to can also be used for Extra Deck Monsters. If your Link Monster points to an opponent's monster zone, your opponent can use it for Extra Deck Monsters. A link monster has a Link Rating (eg. Decode Talker is a Link-2). The Link Rating is how many Link Materials are needed to be sent to the Graveyard for the Link Summon. When using a Link Monster as Link Material, you're allowed to use the Link rating as the number of Link materials it can be used as, (eg. Link-2 Honeybot can beused as 2 Link Materials. However, you can't use a Link-3 on its own to summon Decode Talker because in the card text of Decode Talker, it says "2+ effect monsters" and although a Link-3 is three materials, it is only one monster. Additionally, you can't use Normal monsters for Decode Talker for self-explanatory reasons. There are also Link Monsters which require more specific materials.
3: A Co-Link is when a link monster points to another Link Monster, (eg. If Decode Talker points to Honeybot, the are Co-Linked). If a Link monster points to another monster, they are Linked.
4: The Pendulum Zones are in the Spell/Trap zones but you can still use them as Spell/Trap zones.

'...unless a Link Monster points at the other one' isn't entirely accurate. It should be 'Unless both Extra Monster Zones are co-linked', in which case an Extra Link is formed.
So, to clear something up. A Link Monster can't just point at another to be 'Co-Linked'
Both must have a Link Arrow pointing at the other
Example of a Co-Link(The arrows here represent the Link Arrows):
(A Link 3, with Link arrows pointing Left, Right, and Up < ^ > )
(A Link 2, with Link Arrows Pointing left and right < > )
Co-Linked: < ^ > < >
Not Co-Linked: < >
< ^ >
One thing you forgot to mention is that the Extra Monster Zone isn't for Extra Deck monsters, it's for all summons from the Extra Deck. The difference between what you said and what it actually is is that Pendulum Monsters summoned from the Extra Deck follow the same rules as any other Extra Deck summon, meaning they have to be summoned to the EMZ or a Link arrow.

Takes me back to when the first battle pack came out and it was the only time I got to do this kind of format with my HS friends before everyone went off to college. I think we bought 6 boxes of that set between 5 of us. Good times!

I would love to see you play all types of games. I am not the biggest fan of this sort of content but you make it so much fun, your happiness and energy really shines through. The draft pack format really seems to be fun content. Like I'm not a big fan of the game when its unbalanced and over super quick but draft play scraps all that and is fun. Especially as videos won't be too long.
Definitely enjoyed the video. I'll always love your Pokemon content more but I loved your Duel Links vids and I'm sure I'll love these as well. ^-^

Absolutely stoked to see you playing this game!! As a pendulum player, it would be awesome to see you try out the mechanic once you start getting ahold of master rule 4. They’re a lot of fun and play pretty differently than a lot of other decks. Not sure if they’ll have a battle pack with them in it or not, but I’d love to see your first attempt at learning them!
