Merry Christmas to everyone! Thanks for the support this year. This may not be the last video of the year. I might do an unboxing of an epic bike that arrived yesterday. REALLY excited for this one. Ride safe everyone.
for the last 3 weeks or so I was just watching ebike reviews on YT, finally it came down to 3 ebikes, PVY 1000, WALKE x3 pro and ENGWE ENGINE PRO, at last i decided to go for ENGWE it just felt like it has the right balance among the 3 of them. hopefully I wont regret my decision.
been enjoying my engwe engine pro for a week now. the only concern i have with it sometime is the range. yeah i ride a lot and usually on assist 4, cause there are lots of hilly roads. been thinking of second battery, but i see people say its not a good idea with bikes that has regen. any advice on that @@e-VRC
Awesome and thanks! Itsan amazing bike. I was due to post a fulll review then saw the s4 came out. Gonna get down to nuneaton to test it at some point. Merry crimbo!
You heard of the Gogobest Gm26? Mid drive, 250w, hydraulic brake, sub £900 on some UK sites. Tried to find reviews or videos on it but cant find anything useful. Really tempted by it as my city has some STEEP hills and the mid drive surely will give me the torque for that
Been looking at the electric option for a while, but being a life long conventional mtb/hybrid cyclist I'm more than a little sceptical & would like to see more in depth reviews of these bikes including safety, durability, spare parts availability etc etc etc. I suspect that most will fail on those important to me points?
I'd say generally yes. If you keep it limited to about 16mph and turn off the throttle then you'll be fine if anyone were to stop you since the website says it's a 250w bike. But even if you keep it unlocked and throttle it's unlikely you'll get pulled unless you're riding dangerously.
Unrestrictedbikes do an ERSON folding for £850. I can’t see RUclips reviews on it apart from their own. I’d love to see how you thought that compared to the PVY and Engwe
Hi pal, love & subbed to your channel.great vids you do..ive just got a Cyrusher Ranger, absolutly love it, its giving me the bike bug back again, surley this is the way forward and the goverment should be on board to get more people into biking, its getting me out the house more & helping me to lose weight. Keep the great vids coming, cheers.👍👍👍
It seems a lot of the brands I've worked with either don't do it or I'm not aware of it. I know Hygge do. I've got a couple of their bike right now. Not ridden yet literally only unpacked a Virum today but it looks very Posh with hydraulic brakes, upgraded gears and it's small and light
I don't yet have an e-bike. You've reviewed some cracking looking ones and I've been tempted. I'd often be using it in a large city and it's generally very safe here (if you're sensible). The issue is it's also pretty flat, so bikes are very popular, but because of that they are very desirable and bike theft is very common. I was tempted by the one you reviewed that looked a lot like a moped with locking wheels along with the alarm system. It doesn't appear to be available in my country though :(. How about a video on the best ways to combat theft of bikes and their parts?
Good video idea. It's annoying that we have to put up with it. The Bodywel would be a good shout. Only issue is that it's unexciting once you've been on faster ones but it's a great bike and Megan the test rider loved it.
I just had my Engwe Engine X stolen two days ago and I am contemplating buying the PVY Z20 Plus 1000 now. But also a bit split between buying the Engine X again because I loved it so much. Can you give your honest opinion which you would choose? I like that the PVY has a horn and blinkers, and also a more powerful battery for the price. But can't figure out if I'll miss out on something considering the much lower price. There must be a trade off right?
Its sad but I feel like ebike theft has been on a long slow incline in frequency for awhile now but now were at the precipice of a major exponential boom in thefts... I hope not, but even with relatively thoughtful theft deterrence, they are too easy and lightweight to nab and the increase in people who dont hold the values of theft being a very bad thing are growing. I think its almost a requirement to tuck away a very cleverly hidden airtag or other means of tracking. What a crappy outlook. Ya cant hardly run into the store for a moment without worry of your property being taken by someone who is too lazy to work to earn their own. Sorry for the rant!
Hiya been watching and subscribing for some time now, like what you do. Have you had a chance to try the lankaliesi rv 700 yellow. Very nice looking and promising stats but limited reviews available. Would love your opinion brother. By the way love the comical aspect to vids. Merry thingy and happy do dah to you and your loved ones. See you soon. ✌😎.
Hi I love to ask a question to do with taking fat tyre bikes on trains. I was on an Irish train when the guard got upset about the 4 inch fat trye could not fit in cycle rack. Is there a Bag that fits some of your ebikes you recommend as this would help?.[Also on Eurostar to Paris] Also is there a standard charger that a pub/cafe or restaurant could fit instead of 3 pin mains plug?
Ebike chargers always come from the mains. The plug depends which country you're in. I'm not sure what you mean by a bag for a bike. I wouldn't want to take a big fat tyre ebike on a train.
Thank you so much for replying at Christmas. I am going to buy a ebike hence why I view your channel. I have rented ebikes on holiday and would love to go to places where you can tour, but no bike rent or the price of rents are really expensive [more than a car], like Faro this year. If ypu put a folding bike in a bag or box French railways and eurotunnel will except and this means low carbon travel? Shame about the plug, here on the ring of Kerry Cyclists have to lug a charger and beg a socket. I am pushing that Cafes and pubs offer for free with a drink or meal. Kind regards and have a nice relaxed Christmas Jeff
Hi there my son is after a ebike something cool looking need to have a throttle what do you recommend can you give me a shortlist of your top 5 bikes possibly with larger wheels he is 38 years old thanks for your help love your reviews thanks Mick.

Bravo on keeping it real in the face of Bezior being frustrated with you. Maybe -just maybe- they will take the criticism, FIX THE ISSUE of battery/controller not matching their false marketing (maybe not intended?), and once fixed, send one to you, knowing that youll give a positive review of an actual positive performer, and in doing so they partially redeem themselves by not avoiding you just because you called out their mistake... IF a company did that, I would take that as a major sign of credibility, just like when they told you, once you asked, about the 1500 watt motor and it being capable of 15oow but the batt/controller not. In my view, Bezior isnt lost, but they are definitely in limbo until they prove themselves worthy!
@@e-VRC I thought the bike looked and rode wonderfully, and really, its quite adequate for most folks, but if they are going to put forth a number like that, then they need to match the system to it, otherwise it feels like a marketing ploy, even if its not. @@e-VRC they are nearly identical. I replaced the old motor with a 3000w direct drive. It's significantly better now with a new controller and an extra battery in parallel.
Some bikes are more powerful than 250w but the brand locks them to 15.5mph and sells it as a 250w bike. I don't know if they've had the bike somehow classed as 250w officially or if they just call it 250w. Either way they easily unlock to be faster than 250w. But even if they are kept at 15.5 mph they are much better up hills than a normal 250w bike say from Halfords.
