In 1979 I saw Donna Summer in concert at Forest Hills. The way she danced against her microphone stand while singing "Love to Love you Baby" she made every man in the crowd wish he could die and come back as that microphone stand.
The Movie that Vonetta McGee stared in with Clint Eastwood was an espionage movie entitled "The Eiger Sanction"...... Very good Flick. Also one of the very few interracial relationship movies in that era. I highly recommend watching it!

I love Pam Grier, I just wish she didn't do black exploitation films,I feel they diminished her star, she is a beautiful and talented actress way more than an awesome upper body, which was displayed excessively in most of her early films, unfortunately we haven't seen her much lately, father time may have something to do with that and maybe quality projects and scripts are what's needed, to tempt her out of retirement. I love Pam Grier, I just wish she didn't do black exploitation films,I feel they diminished her star, she is a beautiful and talented actress way more than an awesome upper body, which was displayed excessively in most of her early films, unfortunately we haven't seen her much lately, father time may have something to do with that and maybe quality projects and scripts are what's needed, to tempt her out of retirement. Who knows what the future holds.
Blackexploitation is how she got her start. They weren't giving too many leading roles to black women in the 70's. If it wasn't for Blackexploitation movies a lot of black actors male or female would not have gotten discovered. Black movies from the 70's put a lot of black actors on the map.
