    Its so funny how someone from the US talks about walls and is challenged by drilling a hole into a concrete wall😂 (no offense, its just standard in Europe)

    You should disable night mode. Your TV probably doesn't turn off but goes into night mode. In night mode the motion sensor is disabled. So you cannot get out of night mode by waving

    Yes print your photos. And once I started getting feedback from hundreds of people I was contacted by a coffee shop. Now I have my photos in art galleries as well. Non glare glass is a must for everything.

    This is actually a great video and really enjoyed the photos that you chose. I've been trying to go through my archives to find photos that I want to print out and felt the same about easily recognizable locations. 8:38 says it all, standing back and enjoying a real print of something you captured with your camera.

    Before anyone orders a frame tv i highly recommend going and seeing it in a store first. Like the idea but was unimpressed when i saw it in real life

    Couple of things, We have solid walls and I use those 3M velcro strips for hanging. I`ve hung 20+ photo frames upto 1.4m size and not one has fallen off in 5 years. Just get the size according to the weight you need.
    Also, i have a frame tv aswell. No issues with at all but you could try using the smartthings app to tweak to brightness setting and it should auto adjust using that as a guide.
    Loved your prints btw, I do some macro photography and sometimes you just get a winner by the most simple abstract photo.

    I feel your pain Lee with the concrete walls. We have had those same walls in all our overseas housing. Croatia, Slovakia, and Chile, so 3M strips and Velcro have become our best friend. They work great as long as you do a good job controlling the temperature of your house.

    Thumbs up for Samsung Frame - Not sure what's going on with this frame but mine has been running for a couple years without a problem. The only setting I changed was sleep mode - If it doesn't detect movement for 30 minutes it goes to sleep. As soon as it detects movement it starts up. So don't base a buying decision on one review.

    I also love the promise of the samsung Frame TVs, but the reality is that their software makes them disappointing. I recently bought an Aura Digital Frame and it works great. Good product design and seamless software experience. I would love for them to release a bigger frame.

    Thanks for the vid - which model TV's do you have? Looks like the 2022 models come with major improvements that fix your issues. Framing is very expensive, so I was hoping to grab one of these tv's for my living room. Thanks!

    To everyone seeing this, do you know those photographs you would usually see in hotels, galleries or coffee shops... what paper is that? Looks really thin

    Hey. That’s a great video. I love when people finally print and hang their photos.
    I saw how you struggle with the hanging process and I wanted to know if it’s possible for us to connect since I don’t want to put a spammy comment here.
    I invented a hanger that you’ll LOVE. Any way to co tact you about it?

    Question to those who are printing their own images on a Canon or Epson pigment inkjet. What paper do you like best for color wall prints? Same question for B&W images? Thanks, Dave

    • @dominey
      @dominey Год назад +2

      Depends on the image. For standard images, a luster/semi-gloss is a good general purpose choice. These papers show more contrast and richer color. For a more muted, soft look, fine art matte or rag paper is great. I like "baryta" matte papers because they're brighter and a more neutral white tone (as opposed to blueish or yellowish). If you're looking for specific brands, OEM paper is good for general photos, but you can get higher quality papers with thicker build and better texture from Red River Paper or Hahnemuhle.

    Border or borderless prints? I prefer borderless. What is the point of having borders on your prints?

    • @HartenDylan
      @HartenDylan Год назад

      Human vision has a lot to do with actual and perceived contrast in different contexts. There's a decent amount of research that supports white borders/mats adding actual contrast at the outer edges of an image can help boost perceived contrast and make your images 'pop'. This is why the default for Lightroom/Capture or video NLEs are middle grey as to help you achieve the most accurate contrast/exposure for photos and videos. This can actually extend to what color frame or wall your photo goes on to help accentuate contrast (dark print on light wall, light print on dark wall). Just a few concept similarities between studying human neuroscience and doing photography, hope that helped!
