You know what the problem is? That someone who likes this kind of games has already played all of them...there are not enough open world "crime" games unfortunately
Sleeping Dogs was going to be the next True Crime game until the development company went bust and what they had up to that point was sold off. The result, as mentioned, was Sleeping Dogs. I would absolutely love a remaster of True Crime LA and NY though.
Ive always wanted an open world game where you can heist every store, be it a small corrner shop to a high security bank, mansion. A game like that would take my money so fast. No loading into a level then just following a plan, find the shop, case it ou, find all entrances/exits, make your plan then go back at a time you've decided is the best chance to do it without issue then driving, doing it and driving back to your hideout. Instead theyre just very much linear for the most part, you dont get a ton of options and you essentially just follow a script
Best thing is go outside.. you can do what you wanted right about now! Make it happen.. buy a go pro.. and make a lil documentary on it.. from day 1, planning to the job itself.. ngl.. that doc could be sold for millions.. 😂😅
Great video! I want to recommend a game that truly blew me away. This game has so many fascinating elements, all masterfully executed. It really makes you feel like you're immersed in World War II. The game I'm talking about is The Saboteur. If this game were to be remastered - with a smaller, more detailed map of Europe - I’m convinced it could even surpass GTA 6.
The Godfather 2 is actually awesome as a crime game, u take over crime rings of enemies and u have people u can recruit to do the job with u. I have not seen any other crime game that does it like that including Gta.

Crazy that this is a 17 game list and I've played them all multiple times. Kinda reaffirms my theory that we don't get gritty crime games anymore, open world or otherwise. I don't know when the industry shifted so heavily into the lovey fluffy colorful stuff but i grew up in a time where offing a thousand people in a Russian airport felt like just another mission since so many games didn't mind depicting the depraved side of humanity

I didn't think I was going to like LA Noire but man, I was hooked. Really good game, I hope someday Rockstar will go back to experimenting with one off games like that again.
@@Hezon1sr3 is probably one of the best looking remasters of all time it’s damn near a remake sr2 is my favorite but 3 wasn’t as bad as yall making it seem it was the last good saints row and it made sense they weren’t just a small street gang anymore they were a powerful criminal organization the first two games were literally the same thing just different gangs and missions they couldn’t keep pumping out the same content every game ripping off sanandreas they had to switch it up the saints and to elevate but after 3 they went completely left and ruined the series
Sleeping dogs is an absolute masterpiece as well as mafia definitive, gta 4 is arguably the best gta game next to San Andreas and I thought saints row 2 while not on this list was the best in the series.
Sadly it’ll never get a sequel because the company that made the game went out of business and were bought out by another company who now own the rights to sleeping dogs. It’s sad. The original developers aren’t part of the company anymore and there will never be a second game. It really didn’t get the recognition it deserved when it launched as it was competing against gta 5 around that time it’s just sad. It really was a master piece one of my favourite games ever.

La noire on paper looked brilliant but I found it really repetitive, I’m not sure I even finished the first disc (of 3). I don’t remember there being much of a connection between cases you solved
I'd love the idea of like a illegal street racing game that's open world or semi open world. Something with great graphics, features, customization and a good story. It'd be a good rival to most games
the hand to hand combat and enemy systems are much better than 2 and 1 though because the enemies actually match force so if you have a gun or any lethal weapon they use lethal weapons if you use melee weapons they’ll start trying to jump you and I hate that most crime games don’t have that feature it would make it so much more detailed than just 24/7 gunfights
