    I support WeatherWool. Love the functionality of the designs and the quality of the materials. I'm an actual poor barber from the Midwest. Their products are well worth saving a little longer to afford. Many thanks to Ralph, Alex and the entire Weatherwool family for maintaining the quality and integrity of an all American made and supported premium product. I truly rely on the performance of all my WeatherWool pieces to see me through the Midwest winters and beyond. Thank you. -Wayne from South Dakota

    Been wearing my Medium Chore Coat last few days here in west TN, can't wait for the cooler weather to stay. The Medium is a great fit for me over my Small CPO. Love wearing this stuff.

    Cody is correct. U should check out what Filson is charging. They charge the same (actually more in some instances) and it feels like you’re wearing a steel Brillo it’s so itchy and it’s mostly made in China. U get superb quality with weatherwool. Please pick one or more of their garments as I have. No I don’t work for them. Just a very satisfied customer who is pro made in USA. Think of it as an investment because these are quality, buy it for life garments.

      how does the wool denim feel up against the skin?

    • @WeatherWool
      @WeatherWool  2 месяца назад +1

      It's really soft and comfortable. No itch or scratch as you might expect from 100% wool. I wore the denim pants sample last winter and into the spring, and they are like comfortable sweatpants. You won't be disappointed. - Cody

      @@bobjohnson6321I just got mine and I can't take it off. It really is very comfortable even over a tee shirt. Much softer and more robust than cotton denim.

    I told Ralph that weather wool is the only outerwear im buying. Getting rid of all my old stuff and replacing it with weather wool. I would pay twice the amount for this quality of items.

    Thanks for the video! What’s the weight and warmth comparison to the midweight CPO? Also, how’s the mobility vs the midweight CPO?

    • @WeatherWool
      @WeatherWool  2 месяца назад +3

      Denim weight about the same as MidWeight Fabric. It has performed very well in the weather. I haven't had a chance to wear it myself much over the winter but I was pleased with how well it performed. Not up to the performance of MidWeight in my opinion but will have a better-informed opinion come April 2025. As you can see in the vid, Cody was very happy with weather-resistance. Mobility same as MidWeight in my experience. Thanks --- Ralph

    • @TrustinTimber
      @TrustinTimber 2 месяца назад +5

      In my opinion what the MidWight does better than the denim is trap air in the wool itself. It’s more breathable. I love the feeling of a cool breeze coming and then feeling the warm air blow through on my skin. Not sure if that makes sense, but in other words, I’m less likely to build up sweat in the MidWeight. So if wearing directly on skin like a CPO vs Chore Coat I’d say go mid weight CPO. The Jacquard fabric is pretty special. On the other hand, as a work coat dealing with saw dust or just general work coat I’d probably prefer the denim. It’s pretty tough stuff.

      Funny you should ask ... Cody is pushing for a Drab Green with two colors of green instead of the usual Denim approach, where half the yarn is left undyed. We shall see!! --- Thanks ---- Ralph

    I have a filson for 30 years from my father. Could a weatherwool last the same or better? Does anyone have their coat more than 6 years old? do they make balls?😅😅

    • @WeatherWool

      We didn't offer garments to the public until 2014 ... and only a few that first year. One of the guys who bought an All-Around Jacket in 2014 then returned it for repair/rescue work in, I think, 2023. He is a cattle rancher and he beat the jacket pretty much to death wearing it every day. Debby did what she could for it and sent it back. He still wears it. And he bought two more. How long it will last is going to depend an awful lot on how often and how hard people use it. Nobody has complained about durability. My own All-Around Jacket, the first piece we made with Fabric that passed my field testing, is from 2012 and still going strong. BUT I am a more "average guy" ... I spend a lot more time at my desk than I spend in the AAJ. It's going to be another 20 years before we'll know how many of our Jackets last 30 years. Of course, people who are not satisfied can get a refund ... THANK YOU! -- Ralph

      FILSON MAKES PRETTY GOOD WOOL JACKETS, I HAVE TWO AND THEY ARE DURABLE AND THEY KEEP ME WARM. WEATHERWOOL HAS COME UP WITH SOMETHING SPECIAL ALSO, I HAVE THE CHORE COAT AND ON A WINDY DAY WITH JUST MY CHORE COAT ON AND A TEE SHIRT I FELT NOTHING! I WOULD PREFER A ZIP UNDER THE SLOT BUTTONS BECAUSE THEY CAN GAP WHEN SITTING DOWN BUT DON'T BE FOOLED WEATHERWOOL IS GOING TO BE ON FILSON'S AZZ! FILSON! THEY ARE BOTH GREAT PRODUCTS. I HAVE THE FILSON LINED JACK COAT AND THE SHERPA VEST, THAT VEST IS LIKE BEING HUGGED BY A BIG OLE BEAR AND IT KEEPS ME WARM! MY NEXT PURCHASE FROM WEATHERWOOL WILL BE THE ANORAK OR THE HOODED JACKET! COMPARING AND WEARING THIS PRODUCTS SHOULD BE FUN!
