A 3.5 hour DS1 upload in 2024. Love it. You won't see any other 16 million sub channels doing this. I'm replaying it now and it's an absolute masterpiece. It will brutally punish you to the point where you want to give up again and again but if you persist you will discover an experience unlike any other.
Yeah they try to lock you in so you can't run. They especially like to do it in the room before, with the cage door that has the lower burg shortcut. There like 4 hollows there and try to lock you in.
oh so you decided you want to be one of those people that say man? you know i fucking hate you and am annoyed at you now? you deeply disturb me. but you decided thats how you want to be? why? what the fuck is wrong with you?
It's an incredibly generic narrative. Knights vs dragons, an old king of a fading empire, etc. Very well worn stuff. It's more so the mood and presentation of the story that makes it so compelling.
this is giving me the urge to replay Ds1 it was my first souls games and I always get a warm feeling thinking about my first playthrough. Going through anor londo for the first time was probably the most fun I ever had in a video game
31:40 might have been a playstyle difference instead completely skill. If you are using a 1h sword and shield. They have good defense & if you aren't paying attention the second skeleton can molest you. but, a 2h morning star just breaks their poise and they are slow so pretty easy.
Def. The morning star breaks their stance and trivialises them. But most players, who take them on with a sharp weapon, will not be able to just steamroll them from the front like that.
same i bought it like 2 weeks ago, i have used the lord vessel and just killed pinwheel, idk if there's really a proper order to do stuff in cos i know some people fight pinwheel kinda early so 😭
Haliberton and shield carried my entire playthrough. I did the same thing with Serpent Hunter on my 2nd Elden Ring char, and only ever struggled with Malenia and Raddy. It really is broken. I went back to Raddy on NG+ and tried a +25 greatshield instead of a +0 Brass Shield, which turned him into a joke.
rip zitler Edit: Also, I didn't know Mildred could solo Quelaag. I only knew about Iron Tarkus and Iron Golem. Also, seeing the first few minutes of this made me want to make my fourth new character, and I went with a similar build, but blue instead of red. And I also got a lucky BK sword drop, but mine was the greatsword. Still, it put the Zweihander on hold once I got the stats to use it. Maybe at 40 strength and a +14 or +15 Zwei, I might go back to it.
