@@jjjjjjjj6832 Frames maybe, graphics not. Upscale to 4K and maybe add an antialiasing filter and it looks better than many current games.
The frames are bad not by the game's fault but ps4 limitations, however I think the graphics are still great, it just doesn't use the hardware properly to use sharpening tools etc

No game has ever made me feel the way Bloodborne did.. I genuinely felt like I was abducted against my will and placed in a Lovecraftian nightmare, that despite the terror, I deeply loved..
I have yet to play Elden Ring and sincerely hope I experience the same joy I did as my first Bloodborne playthrough..

Bloodborne is one of my favorite games of all time. Elden Ring isn't as good sadly. In my experience, Elden Ring was tedious and just really slow compared to Bloodborne. I like the lore, combat, gameplay, art style of Bloodborne more.
It is bewildering to me how good Charlie is at these games and how much he plays them while knowing so little at times about them. Like dude you’re arcane is not even 30 and you’re using no Hunter tools and you complain who your arcane weapon is bad. Truly an enigma
To be fair he is not that good at Bloodborne. It was agonizing watching him struggle with Cleric Beast and Gascoigne.

Pretty sure movies are 24 fps, so “low fps” has always looked smooth to our eyes outside of games. Shit, before I even played games on 60 fps, 30 fps never looked bad to me because I had no other comparison.

I don’t know if it’d work on switch as it does on PlayStation. It’s probably about as demanding as TOTK, however it has a lot more realistic textures. Might be able to get 10fps.

Moonlight Greatsword is the GOAT. having a hyper strength/arcane build with the right bloodgems and the physical attack hits almost 900 for me, which is the highest of every weapon I have.

Charlie doing an arcane build with no hunter tools broke me, no shit its gonna be bad. The main form of damage for your build you aren't even using....
Arcane builds are quite stat hungry, and he had like 27 ARC at the end. No wonder he didn't do much damage.
I mean if you have high arcane and the right gems the Holy Moonlight Sword can output some of the highest dmg in the game
Arcane build but not a single fire gem, its the most fun way to play but you gotta do SOME chalices for elemental gems.

30fps really isn’t that bad, of course 60 would be better but once your eyes get used to 30 it’s fine and personally I think it adds to the overall atmosphere to the game in a weird way
30 is not bad, but this game has frame pacing bug so it feels like 15 sometimes even with stable 30

@@austins.2495 People have different sensitivity when it comes to framerate. While I could play the game normally on PS4, I personally only play Bloodborne on my PC via emulator because 30 frames is unbearable for me. A friend of mine, just like you, has no issue playing on 30 though.

@ nah orphan is definetly more tanky, as long as your not using beast blood pellets and don’t do ridiculous damage

1:32:15 it's only a oneshot if you try to dodge it. If you stand still and take it, it doesn't kill. This is because the devs were high af when they made counter-hit deal DOUBLE DAMAGE. This is my least favorite thing about Bloodborne.

Btw, for those curious: there's a counter-hit multiplier in all the other souls games as well. Each game has a different multiplier, and Bloodborne's is by far the largest, at ×2 damage when hit during any animation. For reference, I believe DS1's multiplier is around ×1.2, only applies to thrust damage, and only for a small window near the end of your attacking animations.

Ikr, I beat him first try (i was BL like 60, had Old Hunter "Anal" and had a fire gem saw cleaver +6/7 with the highest bolt resistant armor i could find) and staggered him like 4 times back to back while he focused Antal and i think he even pulled of a visceral on him while I was wailing on his already broken bones 😂

Fucking facts. To me has the most replayability. Can make a build for each weapon and it's not a damn headache to choose what path to go on so makes the journey much better
100% agree. This and DS1 just have the best atmospheres of the Soulsborne games and the flow/shortcuts/pathways of both is fantastic.
But it has literally the least replayabIlity? There's only a couple of armour sets and a dozen weapons haha. Elden ring alone has like 100x that.
Ds3 I'm over 15-20 runs deep and still have a bullet point list of more challenge run ideas and builds I wanna try. I got the platinum on Bloodborne and had already tried every weapon for a few hours each, and it only took me a week to platinum Bloodborne as a whole, which is both endings and I did 100% of the dlc in that week.
Not saying this as an insult to Bloodborne it's a fantastic game but definitely the least replayable in terms of content for me haha.
I've platinumed all the games in the series including demon souls remake and I've definitely done like 2x more runs on all the other games, mainly just cause while getting the plat for BB I tried all the weapons and did everything so haven't felt the urge to go back since theres not much for me to try.
Also quick question in what souls game is it a headache to choose which path to go? Do you mean gear wise or actual path wise cause the 3 dark souls games are extremely linear they usually only have like 1 optional boss every couple areas if that haha.

@@km19292 yeah it is very short, when I got the platinum the trophy I left til last was get the umbilical cord ending and from starting to credits it took me a little over 3 and a half hours. I started at midnight and finished the run before I left for work at 5.
That's both a good thing and a bad thing. If I ever want a quick fix of souls goodness but don't wanna commit to a full run I can quickly steamroll Bloodborne but I wanna actually sit and do a challenge run and cool build I'm choosing literally any of the other ones cause I've got barely any options with Bloodborne since I tried all the weapons on my main account going for the platinum

@@lewanbroski504 i completely understand where he's coming from. i feel with most bosses besides humanoid ones and exceptions like ludwig and bsb, locking on is a huge hindrance. the camera is always messing up and the directions you can sprint in while locked on are very limited so "stepping around" bosses for better openings is a little more difficult. not locking on for micolash and shadows of yharnam is dastardly work though lmao

I "played" demon souls and the og dark souls. as in I barely made it past the first boss. Bloodborne was different for me. It was the first souls like game I played all the way through. Bloodborne made me go back and play the other darksouls games. It holds a special place for me because of that and is one of my favorite games of all time

He kept using healing when he could have used Rally, and almost never planned his attacks around triggering the stagger on bosses despite using a heavy weapon. I imagine he was upset about his damage and level because it wasn’t allowing him to burst down the bosses without giving them a chance to fight back

It's just the PlayStation exclusive circle jerk factor, that's all it is. Because it was only available on their system pony stans tried to gatekeep cool by insisting that their exclusive game was the best soulsborne game. It's an ok souls game. As a family mac gamer I find 30 fps crisp. I have spend most of my life used to 15 and 20fps. However I do understand the difference. The big moment for me was playing gta online on pc. Going back to play with my friends on console I was able to really feel the difference.

I bought Bloodborne 9 years ago. Ive been through DS2, DS3 and Elden Ring. Twice. But still playing Bloodborne every year. Almost every month. Currently on a BL4 run.
I have one wish. One simple wish. A follow-up to this masterpiece. Bloodborne 2, Bloodborne Prequel or just a remaster. Im not buying anything from Sony until I hear some news about bloodborne.

No one will ever be able to convince me that Orphan is harder than Laurence. I have stomped the Orphan in 4 or less attempts every time I’ve played against him. But with Laurence, every time I go against him it’s the most infuriatingly difficult thing I’ve ever done. Minimum 15 attempts every time I go against him.
Orphan is easy, but Lawrence is also easy. Just gotta strafe and he’ll go right past ya.

i think people need to understand that bloodbornes time like the time we see so parry and animation times are tied directly to the fps like even movement speed is which likely means they’d have to rewrite at least 50% of the code to get it to work at 60 fps but probably much more than that even if they started work on it now it’d likely only come out in 2028

It’d be so funny for them to port it to PC or remake and STILL cap it to 30fps.
One line of code makes it 60 fps, and the PS4 Pro can handle more frames, so a PS5 or a PC wouldn't struggle with it.

ER should've had BB combat. Some ER bosses just move way too fast that incentivizing aggression could've helped. But Sekiro's combat is still the best.
Bloodborne should have mostly have better boss instead of the mostly trash bosses we got. Even in the dlc 2 of the 5 bosses are dogshit. The bloodborne combat is no different than elden ring except having a dash instead of a dodge, and instant parry with the gun

I’ve played ds1,2,3 sekiro and Elden ring. I tried bloodborne and could not get into it because I prefer medieval aesthetic. I’m still to this day trying to figure out why so many souls fans believe it to be the best by far.

@ because people have different opinions. Tons of people love the Bloodborne aesthetic, the lore, the ideologies. Honestly, look up like Bloodborne videos or ‘edits’ or smth, it won’t change your mind but it’ll show you why people love it. In particular look up ‘Bloodborne carol of the bells’ (im pretty sure that’s its name but I’m not sur). It’s a great video.
