Nice but it's "meat-er" not Meaty-er"
It's not a meateor it's a meater thermometer
That is great that the company changed the thermometer and it is working fine now.
Definitely want to give one these a try. I like that there are no wires to have to worry about. And I dig your new shirt for the man cave! Cheers brother!
Steak looked over medium cooked. Definitely not rare. Thanks for the review.
I just got the MEATER+ for Christmas. Looking forward to trying it out. Thanks for the video, I found it very informative and helpful.
The ‘Aints! 😹🏈
Not a big fan of charcoal pepper. Black pepper is black to begin with. That shit needed brushing off first. Steak..? Looks good!
I've had my Meater a while never had that issue, By the way its Meater Not Meatier LOL!
Thanks for the correction, and thanks for watching
You have a great presentation style. Nice job!
searing with a tourch!? thats a first. im sure it worked fine, just so unusual! lol nice review!
Same thing if you made a lasagna or casserole and you want to brown up a few spots. Just go slow or you’ll get an odd flavor. 🔥
Nice review, just ordered the Meater Plus, Good job, Thank You.
Great review! I have the original, just upgraded that one with a new block and also got the +. they are nice and convenient! I need them to send me the new Meater Block that is Wifi! LOL
Thanks for the review. This is kinda a pricey item, but I think I am gunna go for it.
Good video! Thanks for the review. I think I’ll try it.
The steak looked medium rare but maybe because of the reverse sear
Looked well over medium by my eye, I guess if you are doing a thin steak it's best to sear first
@@Chooibah I’ve done reverse sear on thin NY strips and it works fine. I take it off at rare, then sear it and rest, and by then it’s up to medium rare.
Thank you for your review. I just bought this for my dad, really looking forward to seeing how it works in action. Subscribed!
Thanks for the sub! I hope your dad liked the thermometer and welcome to the channel
I used the MEATER+ yesterday for the first time. Inserted into a steak, the ambient sensor, of course, stuck out. But it stuck out OVER the coals so the ambient temp soon surpassed its 527 degree max and I got a red flashing warning on my cell phone! How do you use it and still avoid the end containing the ambient sensor from being exposed to the coals and overheating?
sick intro!
Overcooked
Just got 1 today. Been thinking should get one or not due to the price and as I'm a Chinese might won't use it much(but I do love roast beef, lamb and pork😋) and then found out it on sales which cost AUD$112. So I grabbed it! Thanks for sharing this video
Thanks for sharing..............Just bought a meater+, so searching youtube for info 👍
Good review. I think I saw in one of your other videos that you have a Kamado. Does the ceramic affect the signal/connection/range at all?
I’m a fan of your bbq but searing with a blowtorch ??? 🤯
Why the torch at the end? I've never seen that before, does it leave a bad taste from the gas? I just picked up one of these, looking forward to using it
Thank you sir! Great job.
Subscribed! Great content bro
Would be nice to see if the battery lasts for as long as they say it lasts for long cooks.
Good idea for a video, I will use it on my next long cook to see how long the charge last.....thanks for watching
Another Great Video Brother!!!!!!!!!!
Very nice
But what about its endurance against the heat of the grill?
I have the iDevices iGrill and the Weber iGrill 2, and both are quite weak against the Heat of my Weber Summit (gas)
The Weber Kettle or the Smokey Mountain are ok, as charcoal is less intense… but after some probes damaged I have to ask how good are the wireless ones.
Thanks for the video
And indeed Sous Vide (dry or with water) is not an issue… but the grill itself is
The specs on it says that the Maximum ambient temperature is 527°F (cooker), so I would assume that would work for you unless your cooking really hot, Thanks for watching
PS - I noticed this item is not available on your Amazon storefront. Do you no longer recommend this product?
I still like the product, guess they changed the link, if still interested here is another link amzn.to/2zkRaZd
@@BadBeastBarbecue Thanks BBB!
thanks
Have the regular Meater probe. Lost the connection without warning with result a ruined brisket, I'm staying clear from this company.
Understandable, did the probe not warn you of the lost connection? Mine beeped when we lost connection using the first version of the probe. Thanks for watching
@@BadBeastBarbecue it did when I first had it, but after a few updates suddenly the notifications stopped. With result that this Meater became alot more expensive
Understood, I will have to see over usage and time if the one they sent me does the same things.
☄☄☄☄☄☄
The product may do what it says, but for $100 there are better choices out there that have multiple prongs to check more than one item for less money. Not saying that it's a bad product, just costly for one thermometer.
True, the product is on the higher end, it will take me a couple of cooks to see if the new probe has any unseen issues and if it would be truly worth the investment. Thanks for watching.
First off: WHO DAT! Ok, now for my questions, are they very accurate? I've seen others use them and they seem to be very good. 2nd question, have you noticed at what distance they will disconnect? I cook out on my deck but the rest of my filming now will be done in my basement. There's the floor, and 2 walls, do you think it will still stay connected? I like the idea of not having wires, but kinda nervous about staying connected. Thanks for sharing!
