Federal Signal 500DH-TT Siren Test - Annual Test - Calhan, CO

- Today is the day that I finally get to write this off of my bucket list. Today I get to record this FS 500 DH-TT in Calhan, Colorado along with Matthew Donner. This siren does three 1-minute blasts, followed by a steady 3-minute "All Clear" tone. Calhan is tested during spring (April or May). With all that aside, I can say that this was the greatest of all time, and I am so glad I get to see this go off in person.

AKA THE FS550AT. Could use some new paint maybe a white paint job with some FEDERAL SIGNAL LOGOS ON IT JUST LIKE THE 2001-130 And it definitely sounds like one especially the high tone side the low tone side is a 508-128 Sound probably the precursor to the THUNDERBOLT MODEL. Too bad it's not made anymore. I thought it was activated by radio but I guess not. Kind of looks like a KLAXON CS 8 without the shutters.

I have a video of this one! Although it is a tour vid I’ve seen it in person before and I’ve always wanted to go see it go off for a test. Would you know when they happen to test?
