Salutations Everyone, and welcome to my channel! My name is Alyx, and I am a Siren Enthusiast and NWR hobbyist from Northwestern Georgia (originally from Kennesaw, GA), focusing on my IT, videography, and photography education.
Here I post my favorite hobbies right on this channel:
- I film outdoor warning sirens in Dixie Alley, The Carolinas, and more. I've been into Outdoor Warning Sirens since I was 8 years old in 2009.
- I have been filming Weather Alerts in my area since I was exactly 10 years old in 2010, and I am also a Certified Skywarn Spotter.

Federal Signal Model 5BT (Flipped Stator Mount) Siren Test - Alert & Attack - Roebuck, SC
Went to Gaffney/Macedonia with Matthew, but they failed on us (total womp womp). So we elected to record the Model 5BT in Roebuck with Nicholas. While the siren activated, Nicholas and I noticed that the Stator Mount was flipped, which caused it to sound different.

I finally was able to go record Jefferson County/Birmingham's siren system along with James. I was told there will be a countywide Siren Upgrade for all of Birmingham, so it is undetermined when these sirens such as this one will be removed and replaced. This siren originally was a 1000T at the time, and the dual-tone chopper in that siren did not sound well, but on July 4, 2023, it was converted to 1000. @@neptuneWX It is indeed from the Ex LaSalle System. It was siren #26, I think.
Knew it! It’s cool that these sirens from Exelon are getting new homes in other states, some even being in the same EPZ where they were before, like a Byron Exelon P-15 going to Stillman Valley which is inside the EPZ, which actually replaced a Thunderbolt on the same pole, but the P-15 was installed in 2016, the Thunderbolt was removed in 2010.

The reason it rotates that fast is that they used a Thunderbolt rotator in the first series of 2001 (mostly roundback). If you didn't know, the Thunderbolt's rotating speed is adjustable, from 2 to 8 rpm. Guess this was set to the max
