      I think the russian experiments about military stuff is way more interesting than other countries. Thats simply because the goverment supports such shows and i love it. In USA for example you can maybe lend (With huge luck) a 20mm autocanon with dummy ammunition (Non-explosive) which is boring af. In Germany you can forget such experiments as a civilian/youtuber. You can use bow and arrows or potatoe guns maximum. In Russia you can let the weapons be weapons. 😀

    I like how in the beginning you can kind of see his general discomfort and solemn tone. That is a terrifying machine, and the more you know about it and what it does, the more scary it becomes.
    I actually learned a lot, but perhaps the most interesting was that the commander can turn the gun and fire using his viewport. So there's some redundancy as far as crew injury or whatever is concerned. It was kind of crazy that it was completely manually controlled. The tank seems very intense.

    Just noticing all the ATGM comments in this section and wanted to point out that, per shot, the tank's firepower is vastly more economical than any $100,000-per-shot missile, and is therefore much more practical for general purpose applications inside 3km than man portable rockets. Even assuming the average HE shell is $10,000, that's still an order of magnitude cheaper than expending a guided missile every time anything remotely hardened needs to be engaged.
    For this reason alone, tanks are worth keeping around, regardless of what happens to be able to kill them. A lot of Russia's losses are also down to very poor tactics, so it stands to reason tanks used by a more competent force will perform better.

    • @tomk3732
      @tomk3732 Год назад

      It's cheaper, HE 155mm price went up dramatically and is still only 3000 Euro. So this must be way cheaper. Few hundred USD.
