- With the Inferno cannon event coming to a close pretty soon and many of you will be playing the PLZ83-130 I go over some of the strengths and weakness of this vehicle while the gun is really good it can be to good and not fuse on lightly armored targets while being a prime target for close air support.

About: Gameplay of the War Thunder event PLZ83-130 from the inferno cannon event. This vehicle has the same 130mm cannon as the IS-7 from the Russian tech tree.

I am just gonna keep it
I've kept it, it feels familiar to the Object 120 in terms of gameplay, just worse ammo, reload. Deletes most of the things in uptiers as well, and haven't had the pleasure to main the chinese tech tree, so it will be a fine adition :D The only thing I really miss is a slightly better turret turn time.
What screen recorder do you use? Love your vids!
Nvida Shadowplay it automatically records clips when I get kills in game.

@@gupe6036 Studio Edition of Davinci Resolve, but the base version of the software is free and can do 90% of things you would want it to.

Yea I am surprised not many videos where made about the vehicle already its been about 24 hours since we had it. I guess its just not as interesting
Yeah, the main problem is Chinese tree. There's no vehicles 7.3, no 7.0 either, and 7.7 is the new era of early MBTs and light APCs. You will be matched against APDFSes and laser rangefinders too regularly, so yeah
So what if you get uptiered to see APFSDS?
You have literally worse armor than some reserve tanks. You dont care either way. Matter of fact APFSDS is better for you because you have such thin armor you barely generate spall when shot(no armor best armor) While in return you will kill with one shot always any MBT you pen because of your filler. And for anything with less than 19mm of armor you have a DShK with enough pen.
The 130mm APHE slinger on the IS7, moon rover and this thing is the most overpowered gun tier for tier IMO. It oneshots everything, it pens anything at the BR its at on all vehicles its mounted on. The reload is also fine forbasically a guaranteed kill everytime you press the button.
@@schullerandreas556 the problem isn't APFSDSes pen, but it's velocity, enemy doesn't even need to aim at you basically. Thin armor aren't saving - the PLZ has its ammunition in the back of turret, the turret is full of it, basically.
Ah, yes, also autocanons and APCs. Fast, thin (so your 130 wouldn't fuse), spraying at you at 50kmh with 30mm.

@@kantina4765 Your right I don't agree with it at all. Its a very weird thing people are into. You should maybe go ask gaijin why they keep adding decals like this or the body pillows etc
how do i found out minimal armour to fuse on gun?
If you hover over a shell with HE filler look for a stat called Fuze Sensitivity, You also have fuse delay right next to it as well.

@@D0P1C3 Yes the first day it was announced it was filled up, but at the end of each month I kick the inactive people to allow new people in. Its DWGYT in game
I dropped the event in the middle.
I realised that this thing is of no use for me and I'm already advanced in the Chinese tree, so I wouldn't really play it.
it should drop to 6.7
the gun is side grade to the 150mm
If your talking about the plz83-152mm its not really a side grade since the 130mm has a APHE while the 152mm have to use HE

Yea, no. This thing's gun is in no way equivalent to the 152
This thing's BR is fine, it's the BR of everything else that's borked.

Its basically just a worse Obj120 with a 50.cal and APHE

Tbh this thing is boring. It's just yet another SPH, plays exactly the same. Gun doesn't matter - what difference does it make if you one shot something with HE or APHE?
