I have been using speedbinders for 2 months and I love them. Our equipment is smaller but the same rules apply. I move farm equipment and bobcats for a dealer in southern Ontario. The speedbinders are just like you say. The have simplified tiring down corn heads. The batteries were only an issue when I used my older 18v dewalt no issues with the new lithium ion batteries

In my days of working with Equipment we didn't have rachet binders, we didn't have good trailers, like they have these days, most Equipment was loaded on a no ramp trailers, especially loading a dozer on trailer could be very dangerous in wet weather days. Thank good are dozer had Rippers then. In the late 70 and early 80 Codaza trailers came out the first brake down trailers that I remember anyway. No moving Equipment is almost a breeze, plus lot safer, especially with folding under rear neath Hydraulic ramps. It's Amazing how trailers have changed in pass 30 years.

Can definitely see the advantage of Rachet binders , loading equipment with the old style binders you had to be careful that it didn't hit you in the face, that's why you used a cheater extra long bar. Plus you had rap the excess chain around lever so it wouldn't pop lose some how. A plus for Rachet binders.

I’m very surprised that you leave your binders out like that. You must continue to work in the country. Because in any size city, those, especially those would wind up sprouting legs. I have the old style. And I keep those locked up so no prying eyes to see. But, you have me sold on the new ones. Save what’s left of my back and let the 3/8’s impact do all of the work. Thanks for sharing it.

I used boomers for years until they came out with 1st gen screw binders, butt had to used old type in those tight places. Anyone should see the benefits of those speed binders you use. As for commentators, its difficult to some people not to sound condescending, when they ask a question or make a statement. They probably meant well.

Thanks for sharing your adventures. Those speed binders sure seem to work nice, not much more you could ask for. Did see a Matt Reisinger video at a trade show today where they are integrating smart technology and gps into nail guns, I guess if you were to do that with the speed binders you could have them report if they loosened while in transport. That and add a few hundred each to the price. Have a great day, wishing you and your family the best.

Just wanted to comment on a couple of the units loosening slightly. You have been running them every day for about 4 months, simply remove the end links and clean the threads up with a wire wheel or pressure washer. Lubricate with fluid film and you are back to new tension holding. Like any binder, they need some love from time to time! Thank you Dirt Perfect!

You could move equipment to an 'old' location to fix up silliness you left behind. I doubt it would be the first time. LOL
The value of the Dewalt blower is it removes the dust and stuff that could blow off on the road. A broom does not get the blowing dust, just the gravel. City slickers could grab your DOT number and take iPhone pictures of blowing dust, except when you already blew the dust off.

Great video and love that Mack. I went to school for driving truck, like 30 yrs ago and one of the classes was how to secure loads. The instructor always made us go around with a bat or pipe and smack the chains 2-3 times, then re-tighten. Is that something you ever do and what's your opinion on that procedure, it seemed to work by getting any kinks out from the chains and what not. Thumbs up !

I'm a year late watching and commenting, but the thumb buttons make sense to me. If you look at your right hand your thumb moves towards the left to open it, and to the right to close it.
Did you end up switching it?

I think you need to add another one of those toolboxes to the other side that would just make the trailer look sharp and I will save you a few steps of walking around with your chains also gives you a little bit more dry storage..

Love the sound of that ole' Mack. I only wish you wouldn't have sped it up when you did. LOL... I had the volume on my computer maxed out and boy did it sound good. My wife was like, "What's the matter with you". ROFLOL...
