The trailers with the pop up roof are for high voltage tools to work transmission power lines hot while you enjoy your lights and computer. Since the hot sticks are your only protection between ground and 230000 volts, then they must be kept dry and clean. The specialty tools have to be able to replace what you would normally do with your hands on a de-energized line.
Wow! That was an awesome video Mike. So many smiling happy equipment operators having fun like young boys at a circus. Listening to officer Hoovers comment about Logger Wade was hilarious.
Whoops wrong lever on that kitty cat.... whaaaam haha
Lol that was awesome 😜😂
Man this brings back memories, I was part of a small 3 man crew, my dad and the foreman Don, and myself, worked for Ritchie bros, near Toronto Ontario. To stage equipment a couple weeks before the auction, and on auction day, they’d hire a boatload of temp people to help shuttle the equipment across the block. Auction day was hectic but a cool experience.
I bet hope to make the actual auction next year
It's just mind boggling all that gear. It's a crazy world we live in. It makes you wonder where it all comes from.
Land all trailers, in my opinion, work great, but for smaller equipment. City deliveries, but if you have anything with a little bit of height to it, makes the trailer top heavy. My experience, thirteen years with a major crane company in Ohio. Stick with the rgn, removable goose neck, commonly known as a lowboy, for your bigger, heavier equipment. Love the speed binders though, what a time savor. C'mon DP, Captain Kleenman, and man behind the scenes, deserves a shop truck!
Awesome video bro with a great bunch of Tubers too. Safe travels
Power companies use them. Called hot stick trailers for transformer work
Interesting thanks
Dig a hole, set a pole, hang a pot and make it hot lol... You just gotta rubber up and stick it as we say.
When the lights go out, linemen get it on.
Loved the little Officer Hoover Clip about who knows everything!
lol that was good
Hi Micky from down under in Australia. It's good to see you and Chris together. I follow both of you. Keep up your videos..
Thanks
Great video Mike and All of the guys I really appreciate you sharing this information 🇺🇲
I knew a big dirt contractor on the Gulf Coast that ran a bunch of Cat 235 and 245’s loading trucks in dirt pits in the late 70’s. They moved some dirt. I saw him load a 235 on a 25 ton single drop lowboy with no ramps and pulled it with a 237 R model! I think the 235 weighted a little over 90k.
Wow they are big heavy old Girls for sure
Great way to check out different manufactures and sizes.
Super video.
Yes it is and thanks buddy
This is the best video of the series your showing stuff that I would look at instead of horseplay with things that you don't intend to buy
Thanks Rodney
prolly the funnest vid you've posted
Thanks
Definitely a fun trip! So many laughs 🤣
Was a blast cheeks still hurt
I have run landall and they are nice. There are pretty well built. We got a 455b have been running it for 5 years with no problems in our tow company. And doing what you do I think it would work really good
Love the one I got
Your definitely correct about trailers I bought a new skid steer a few years back well not new lets say that I bought another lol and the only way I could strap it safely was to reweld the trailer well you know what I mean thumbs up my friends
Awesome and agree thanks
I hope you guys know what Archoil is and use it in your diesel engines. If not look it up and learn something.
Looks like y'all had a great time awesome group thumbs up my friends
Thanks buddy
Tag trailer behind a dump truck is a handy setup especially for smaller jobs
I agree
Great video Mike. Good bunch people. Thanks.
Thanks we had a blast
You can add operating a 750 Volvo the the bucket list BIG MACHINE! may never get another chance like that. What a day!
exactly we had a blast
@@DirtPerfect speed binders are working out well. Thanks for sharing that with us
Awesome, if you get a service truck, definitely get a crane, your not getting any younger, and what a back saver. Great video!
Very true and thanks buddy
Great video... lots of fun seeing you all together...
Thanks jack
Very impressive, Ritchie bros is in Toronto first week of March. Thanks for sharing 💪👍
Crazy the amount of equipment there
Yes fellas I have brought from Ritchie's before ,they treat you so good it's ridiculous and may I say good machinery to go with the service
Awesome
High voltage trailer carries primary tools ect for a utility company
Mike looks right at home in a Cat !
You guys were having way to much fun !! Great to See !!
Lol we did have a blast
That looked like so much fun! Glad you enjoyed it, I certainly did! Thank you for sharing! :-)
Thanks for watching buddy
@@DirtPerfect It's my pleasure! :-)
Hey Mikey thanks for showing buddy. Does not a lot of this equipment go on ships and go to South America ? Had neighbor take retired coal truck and turn into dump trucks, sold in Florida every year.
Yes lot of it goes over seas and thanks foe watching
I wish I knew you all where their I would come over and see you all. Have fun enjoy
Bummer hate we missed you
That’s ok buddy maybe this summer when I’m camping I can make it to Ohio
That was a hoot entertainment plus better than main-stream TV.
lol thanks Barry
Like a couple of kids in a candy store....I don't know who is funnier, you or letsdig18. LOL.
Lol it was we had a blast
I think that machine that you were talking about that had more play than the 120 I think that was a tilt bucket wasn't it LOL
Is me or has "Jason Works A Lot's" English gotten better, lol 😀. Can't even tell he's a crazy Russian anymore.
Lol 😂
great show THANKS!
Very nice video, 👌🇺🇸
Motley crew there. Couldn't imagine what the real videos looked like
Word of advice with utility bodys go with the dually as much you don’t want it. That extra room is a must. Ive worked out of a f350 single wheel and a f450 dually and even just trying to fit shovels or extra pipe fittings besides tools was made a lot easier withe the 450.
👍thanks
So none of the big excavators have blades. I see they are all used. Has that changed with the new ones?
Looks like you had fun!
We did
Great job guys love your show one thing don’t be bad mouthing them 245 they move a lot of dirt
Those trailers look like HotStick trailer for linework
Yes I think your right
Every young ground man is missing his belt loops 😂... The shotgun stick gets em every time.
With those weird trailers, If I heard Officer Hoover correct before you stopped recording "NYSEG". New York State Electric & Gas. Power and gas company up here, in parts of upstate NY. And no I still have no idea what they're for though! Lol...... Also from my experience your going to have a narrow tool body with narrow boxes with a single rear wheel and wide boxes on a dual wheel. That's the problem I have, I don't want dual wheels but I want the box space!
Yup. Your correct
Those 6.2 ford drivetrains are quite reliable!
Put some boxes on the big truck.
Those trailer are for electric high voltage protection equipment
Interesting thanks
@ 6:45 NYSE&G: New York State Electric & Gas , Not sure what Type equipment it is though
You need a D10, a excavator with 60 ft boom for ponds and a 960 wheel loader, a belly scraper, a grader.......
Great video Mike 👍 have a great day and stay safe 👍
Thanks Greg
As far as the trucks go, 2010 is the newest duramax id have. After that, 6.7 Ford. I’ve been been a Chevy fan until last year or two. Heard of way to many problems with the new duramax. That’s why my next diesel will be a 6.7 Ford.
Looked like an AWESOME time !!!!
It was a blast
Dirt perfect looks like a great time did you guys buy anything or just play with all the equipment by the way love Officer Hoover learned a lot and a little walk around on the log truck keep up the great work with him he’s very informative to everybody thank you so much new subscriber junkman do
Thanks and welcome to the channel haven’t bought anything yet but watching a few things on line
Awesome mikey
Thanks buddy
You guys had fun that's what counts.
We had a blast
Pop up camping trailers! Industrial use?
So, After this visit, do you appreciate your Volvo 140 more now? Volvo period, even an 8200 hr machine?
lol liking it more all the time
@@DirtPerfect I kinda thought so.
It was probably a plumbers truck, pretty smoked. Lots of cigars and a worn out seat!
Yeah I'd say that little thing definitely makes the 120 look just about worn in, lol! The state of that 160 though, jeez!
Lol I know it was a mess
You get one of those Landall trailers there won't be a mailbox left in your county Mike!😜
lol 😂
Yellow looking like a loves service truck
That would be a good guess for sure
Great walkthrough! Do the items have reserves on them?
No all sale
Well good news I got my flatbed working again! Apparently when I ran it last time I forgot to turn it off and I really did think I effed up that transmitter because the battery exploded in there. As it turns out I discovered that when I tried to charge the batteries for the truck, the charger wasn’t plugged all the way in so it didn’t charge them. And of course I had to clean out the inside of the transmitter because I didn’t want any of the alkaline acid to get to the components. However I couldn’t remember which way was off so I wound up killing another set of batteries in the transmitter. So I recharge the batteries and put new batteries in the transmitter and everything is working like a charm thank goodness.
Lol good deal buddy
How much of this equipment does not get sold? Question on bucket teeth, what type of material are the wide flat teeth used to dig?
All of it and loser materials
Hey you found a Liebherr ! Looks like they are realy rare in the US ? I live in France and of course we have much more here, realy good working machine ! Reliable, confort and efficient, for me the better! But pricy...
There are just a few around here
I'm a ford truck guy and i can say with confidence:
If it aint a 7.3 don't buy a ford diesel.
6.0 can be good to you if you buy it upgraded otherwise it's a solid 4 grand or more to make it right.
You are correct, too expensive to own new or used.
Yup I agree
Hello from Iowa! Lots of nice iron out there!
Yes buddy and yes there was
Looks like y’all had lots of fun!
We had a blast
Last time I was at that auction we bought three cat 740 articulated dump trucks then had to have them transported to Montana.
That sounds like an expensive trip!
Where they good trucks
Yes they were good trucks, that was at least 15 years ago and they are still being ran today. It was an easy way to burn close to a million in a matter of minutes.
Like a hungry T Rex!
Looked like a good time.
Dam you guys had so much fun i think there is a law prohibiting that much fun in one place. It sure was a eye opener from an Australian perspective. Never seen so much equipment in one place.
Ritchie has two sites in Australia, one around Brisbane and the other close to Melbourne, go have some fun :-)
@@luisloubet7014 thanks for the heads up Luis, I appreciate it. Cheers Mate.
Mistry (Orange) trailers are for large site tents.
1 Hyundai shows no one wants to get rid of them. And they dont break. Lol Great 1.
Lol I guess only one there
All that grease on the door is from a service contract. It was probably maintained to the book.
That's what loggers call a nuckel boom loader.
Awesome video mike!!!
Thanks Adam
NYSE&G written on the trailers is New York State Electric & Gas, a power company in upstate NY.
👍
Speaking of trailers... how much is insurance on your Mack and trailer?
1400 a year
@@DirtPerfect thanks!
😂😂 Ya i bet the best part of the trip wasn't approved !! Glad you all had a good trip !
Lol we had a blast
Love auctions!!!
We had a blast and learned a lot
Put a thumb on it! You can do some serious fun work.
Like the videos keep up the good work
Thanks appreciate that
You guys should plan a trip to one of the Ritchie soring Sales in Edmonton.
Might have to
good video
That second Chevy was pretty nice
It was
I deserved a invite
I think I saw that they had over 13,000 pieces of equipment!
I would believe it
I know I'm just a truck driver but the lines on the stick of that sany looked a little exposed lol
That’s the bad thing about minis. Their usually bought and used by contractors who beat the crap out of them. I’ve watched guys beat on rocks for hours on end to get a utility trench in the ground...
Yup I agree
That's a lot of equipment in one spot 😂
Yes it is
You boys should never be in the same place at the same time!
lol it’s trouble for sure
Where was man behind the scene?
Working
They thought it would grease itself
The whole while Wade has been fooling us? I suspected as much, Logger Wade not from Indiana but originally from New Jersey?
I'd take the old loves service truck lol
It was a nice set up
There goes the neighborhood!🤣 just kidding! Thanks for another great video!
lol about right 😝
Chris looks like he's wearing a crop top green vest lol
Lol think we all where 😂😂
@@DirtPerfect lol
