They try to frame it as magic but in reality Akashi just has an insanely high IQ. Mix that with extreme technical skills, strategic thinking, good physicality, attention to detail and psychoanalysis and you get someone that pretty much can predict anything at any time with almost perfect accuracy.
Not to mention that akashi literally discovered kuroko's talent and that other dude, he even outright guaranteed that kise would surpass that other g.o.m. that left
