Tbh, ayanokoji's manipulation skills are already off the charts when you realize that he probably has surpassed kushida's method acting skills when he was able to get honami, hirata and kei's secrets when not even kushida could get them even though she was able to trick the Majority of the students to telling her their or someone else secrets.
Bros manipulation isnt allat. Its some basic white knight, snitching on the teacher made out to be peak manipulating tactics. My god, its not he is smart, but the students are actually dumb down.
@@dragonball51255 Aint even that smart. Already known manipulation tactics are executed and made out to be smart. Are they well executed? No. Smart people? Really? I think when Light discovers someone is tailing him he'd start diverting suspicion by changing the time of deaths, but this will only make Koji even more sure about Light being Kira, which would seal his fate in any case. Light is cooked, and you cooked very good in this video.

Light would lose to Ayanokoji because he doesn't like talking risks and he doesn't care about who is smarter light had no idea someone was after him until it was to late great video
@@snopy6885 Light beat L because he had the deus ex machina of a shinigami who was willing to commit suicide. You could've put Ayanokoji or someone smarter in L's position right there and then and they'd still die, because it was just an unstoppable trump card. You could argue that Light's plans would never advance to that point if Ayanokoji never revealed himself like L, but I think that it would be impossible for Ayanokoji to do so if he was in L's shoes right from the beginning. It is worth noting that L never exposed himself prior to the Kira case, which means that it was a necessity for him to do so in order to obtain information. On top of that, the location of Kira itself was an issue. He had to place Kira in circumstances where he could be easily observed and confined. This is not the same as COTE where everyone is already confined to the boundaries of the school and Ayanokoji can just push people around. Overall, L and Ayanokoji are way smarter than Light, but Light just had too many asspulls and tricks to play.
@@orangenoob2768While I understand your point about the death note influencing Lights intelligence, it's important to know, Light and L are super geniuses and far beyond concepts like the death note. L, in the series, is not surprised at all at the possible existence of a supernatural "Death note," he, in fact, takes it well in stride. By the time L gathers enough evidence to visit Lights school the case was over. At that point L was 95% sure Light was Kira, but as shown through the tennis game, which is one of the best scenes in the series, L has an ego, and from then on he fully commits to competing with Light directly. With Light emerging the victor. The Death note as an object in the story merely acts as an initiative. Light has the ball in his court so he can pick the play. Although L is forced into a reactionary position this doesn't mean his feat vastly out-scale Lights feats. All in all, Light and L are deities of IQ and intellect, but their human vices, moral souls, and/or simply pride doesn't allow them to perform perfectly, Light in particular as he is out smarted by L easily in the beginning because of his overwhelming pride. Ayanokoji has no pride and no sense of self, he is merely a machine completing a task, so I definitely believe he would close in on Light unlike L.
@@orangenoob2768 L isn't smarter than Light, L himself claimed Light to be smarter than him when they got to know themselves better after he lost his memories about the death note. Light's ego did make him look dumber, the story itself makes it clear to us.
You had me right up until the end. Light would not go down that easy. He wouldn't kill someone he used to help him with a heart attack, he'd use a car accident or something. And if he noticed the internet and electricity acting up, he'd buy that tiny tv like he did in canon, and hide that he bought it. I'm also not sure what you mean with him acting 'robotically' once he notices he's being followed. And if he were confronted with all the evidence, he'd just think to himself that so long as they don't find out about the death note they have no evidence to arrest him. Why would he go and reveal his watch trick when he knows he doesn't know the other person's name, besides, he has other pieces of paper in his wallet. And if he's still a high school student he wouldn't even have that watch yet as it was a gift for graduating if I remember correctly. He'd do his best to stay calm and not reveal anything, because without evidence Ayanokoji would just be accusing him of having long-distance murder thoughts that actually kill people, and if that was a valid reason to arrest someone, a lot of people would be in jail. Ayanokoji would need to find out *how* he kills before moving in with an arrest. A kira with a few months of killing with the secret of the death note's existence intact will not react the same as a Kira who's been taking over the world for years who was confronted with fake vs real death notes and others seeing Ryuk. It's like you forgot Light's smart too. Also, Light might decide to ask his teachers to go over his tests to find where he went wrong and when they notice he made no mistakes but his scores don't reflect that, the school itself might launch an investigation. While I do agree Light would lose or at least be put in a position where he can't use the death note anymore, it won't be this easy.
Tbh it's a pretty mid story, and definitely looks both guys look like idiots because the story has so many loop holes that I realized immediately. They are both supposed to be beyond sherlock level geniuses, but I don't mind the story being bad as this is clearly just a passion project.
I was looking for a comment like this, as this video seems to miss out on the fact that Light himself also adapts to the change in circumstances. Another example I would've picked out was the time of deaths that he could've easily changed, Light could simply just switch the time to a month or even a year to just throw anyone off his trail, the only thing that would happen is suspicious being raised on him with how all the killings stopped, which might get Ayanokoji to focus more on Light but he'd need a better plan now as Light would've already caught on that someone would've been trying to catch him from that alone, not to mention that Light could also just still go the library and get information there since he's a student and it'd be under the guise of studying which wouldn't be abnormal. There are also multiple ways Light could get information without creating logs on these computers even if the internet got hacked and they tried to monitor his browsing unless they directly hack the computer Light is on and use the spare piece of the death note like he did when L put cameras in his room. The idea that Light would also be careless in letting the cybersecurity person give him away by sending an email directly to something that could be traced to him seems super nonsensical considering that it was stated that Light used a VPN to conceal his identity. If Light also noticed he was being followed he could also just set up Tsukishiro in another way different than Raye Penber, by framing him of a crime and getting him arrested in order to cripple Ayanokoji's way of stalking him and it might require him to ask for assistance through Interpol. I also do agree that Light would most certainly lose to Ayanokoji though there did seem to be a bit of stumbling when it came to how light would lose. The most solid way I could see Ayanokoji catching Light is to act upon his suspicion and have Tsukishiro search Light's room and coming across it even if there was that trap that Light set up, as given Tsukishiro's skills he'd be able to tell if there was a trap rigged, which would be probable cause to arrest Light and detain him until they can prove the power of the Death Note.
I do also agree with this and to add on, if Light did get into this situation he could've made the deal with Ryuuk for the Shinigami eyes as well since it would be that or death. the only reason he couldn't in the main story was because matsuda shot him
This video has actually made me realise something about Light that I'd never considered before, like Ayanokoji, Light is very much a genius in adaption. Light was able to beat L because of the fact that L revealed his hand a too early, allowing Light to adapt and come up with great strategies against him. The same wouldn't happen with Ayanokoji as you showed because of the fact that Ayanokoji doesn't have L's action, in a sense being more akin to Near, constantly waiting for someone to do as they wished. Brilliant video I must say!
25:45 light in character would have written names in advance in a situation like this . The heart attack would have still happened without light having info or electricity
25:39 Light was nerfed just a lil tho, this could have been 2 parts ; Light has experience in dealing with surveillance . Heck as soon as ryuuk told him, he was being followed, being bugged would have been light’s next thought, he has a stalker now he has to act more normal than usual. Light in Character would test the limits of the death note and find out he can control the time of death, Light would have people dying on the hour. Kira would still be killing while Light has no electricity or access to the internet. That would force ayanakoji to reevaluate his Strategy in catching Kira.
@@JusDarkSageI think light would probably still use memory loss once he feels the walls closing around him, people forget that light setup a trap that would burn the death note before so he wouldn’t get caught, he would be willing to sacrifice the notebook and his memories if it stopped him from being caught. They couldn’t prove the light was Kira or knowingly Kira, like light said before maybe he was doing it unconsciously? Without uncovering the death note or a confession, there is not enough evidence for him to consider it a win. After light figured out that his school exam scores were changed to manipulate his schedule, I feel like he would use memory loss and hide the notebook somewhere where it likely wouldn’t be found.
@Malthizar but this is after ryuuk tells him someone following him , so he’s obviously gonna be on guard. Light would assume he’s under surveillance and mostly likely write down names in advance it’s in character for Light. “Ayanakoji can’t solve the case in one day, the longer ayanakoji takes, the more time light has to experiment with the Notebook.” Plus the electricity going out would have been pointless because criminals would still be dying without Lights knowledge. Light isn’t dumb, Beginning of Series Light is still Light , you give him enough time he will out wit you especially with a supernatural notebook. Light was even willing to destroy the note book if it came to that.

The reality why ayankoji won was because he doesn't have emotions simple. Even rational genius like light or L act upon emotions. Which is why someone like ayankoji is perfect counter. OK so hear me out for 5 seconds the whole point is that light wouldn't even learn that someone's after him until wayyy too late that's the point even if light made the cat and mouse linger the problem is Koji is genuinely too cautious to reveal himself I even doubt the very end that he would reveal himself Koji is very used to manipulating the emotion of geniuses with egos like thing about what the advance nurturing highschool is Koji deals with people like light with the greatest of ease and I'm not downplaying light give light 2 death notes Misa shinigami eyes and help I still doubt Koji is revealing himself even under these circumstances 0 people except involved people are even made aware that Koji as L is even on the case secondly even less people are aware the Koji is acting as L and third actual L is probably covering other cases at the time Koji has complete anonymity and a decoy Koji is used to setting up decoys and sacrifial pawns even in this case he would passively use L as a scapegoat and I 100$ don't doubt he tries to get tsukishiro killed by light just to get his father's pawn out of the way ayano is cold and calculating he doesn't take unnecessary or meaningless actions
@@Egotisticalanime in this hypothetical situation ayanakoji doesn’t solve the case in one day ; light in character would be experimenting with the notebook, so it doesn’t matter if it’s BOS Light because it’s still Light
I feel like if Light can sense his door handle has been tampered with, I think he’s realize if the temperature of his room has cooled, and that for conveniently 30 minute blocks the electricity has turned on and off. Especially after he is aware he’s being followed. I don’t see how if L’s home surveillance failed how Koji’s plan would work
The first difference is that in the canon series, Light KNOWS about L. Second, Light at the time in the series of L planting bugs is far more experienced with the death note and already prepared for bugging in his room. Light adjusted the doorknob, planted a pencil and had Ryuk scan the area. In Ayanokoji's hypothetical, Light doesn't know of L yet, he doesn't know how he's getting information, and Ayanokoji never stepped foot in the house and therefore according to deduction nobody has infiltrated Lights house. Therefore nothing is out of the ordinary for him, just a electrical error.
@@TWKillaBeast How do you explain him not noticing exactly 30 minute power outages, the fact that only his house is having an issue, and the fact he was literally just followed by a shady figure?
@@tnntaronewsnetwork4514 power is controlled directly by your service provider which is why when you don’t pay your bills only YOUR power, Wi-Fi, water etc goes off instead of the entire neighborhood. The shadowy figure proves nothing simply because a stalker couldn’t control your electricity, even if it could, to make the distinction would prove difficult with nothing to show for it. “I was followed and now my Wi-Fi cut off, must be connected” is one of the worst arguments I’d ever imagined and would laugh out loud if it was said to me. Especially since mess ups like that are common, burnout, wire malfunction and service incompetence for example
@@TWKillaBeast But you have to think from Light's perspective. There is no way Light would think it's just a stalker. The fact that he knows someone's trying to manipulate the media would make him suspicious of everything, plus the fact that he's Kira makes him hyper-aware of anyone who might try to catch him. In the anime, Light already suspected that the police would start realizing something's off, so there is no reason for him not to suspect someone would try to tail him, especially after the manipulation of criminal names and faces that Ayanokoji made. As a result, Light would be on high alert. He would instantly figure out that someone is tampering with electricity and Wi-Fi because he knows his family pays everything on time, and that the households around him are fine, so he would realize that it could be a trap by the same guy who manipulated the media information. Also keep in mind this is Japan, power outages are very very rare, especially in Tokyo. The number of power outages per household in Japan does not even reach one time per year. He would be able to infer that the person he is dealing with has a lot of influence, since he is able to manipulate the media and even send someone after him. I don't see how it's a bad argument since if you're in Kira's position, you will be prone to suspect anything and everything to protect your position.
@@alidokadri even if we agree to the fact Light thinks the stalker is the perpetrator of his power issue, what can he do from there, the assassin tailing him won’t have a registered face nor is his name publicly disclosed. We won’t even return to square one because regardless of how much light infers about the situation, he has absolutely no information to do anything about it.
Okay, I think it's a well thought out story. However, I think it has a few flaws and the story seems mostly planned around Ayakonoji winning. First of all, you need to understand that light is an egoistic person, but he has the ability to stay calm and cool at important moments, such as when L showed himself to him and said "I am L". So, contrary to what is said at 27:54, it is very unlikely that Light will panic and get caught because of it. Secondly, I don't fully understand the electricity and room temperature thing, even though I watched it 3 times, there is a lack of detail. But as I understand it, Ayanokoji is cutting Light's power and monitoring to see if he can access the media and kill someone in the process? However, Light realized this when he placed a camera in L's house. That's why he must have thought about such a possibility. For example, this problem could be solved with a small-scale generator that he kept. You also say that Ayanokoji ensures that there is an air conditioner (23:36) in Light's bedroom, but to confirm this, someone needs to enter Light's room, and in this case, just like in Death Note, Light would figure it out that someone was in his room. You then say at 7:54 that Koji will remain defensive without seeing an opportunity and without a clear winning strategy. However, as stated at 16:55, it is impossible to memorize and examine the student profile of every student in the Kanto region (even if primary and secondary schools are not included), no matter how strong a memory you have. Because there are almost 3-4 million students in the Kanto region. And even if you only classify smart students with high grades, this would amount to approximately 100K students. It would be luck and coincidence just to examine the person who came first in the exams (Light) and realize that he was Kira. Moreover, you stated that Ayakonoji cornered Light. However, a similar incident happened again in Death Note, and Light can escape this trapped situation by erasing his memory. As a result, Ayanakoji will reach similar conclusions as L. And last, but most crucial, Ayakonoji doesn't know about the existence of death note. This means that he also does not know about the Shinigami's and Ryuk. At 28:45 it is stated that Light does not know Koji's name. However, if Light would end up this situation, he would already be ready to sacrifice something, and as a result, he takes Ryuk's eyes, sees Ayakoji's name, and writes it in the notebook. Light would still be caught by the cops, but Ayakonoji would die right there.
I don’t necessarily agree with the final answer or the ending of this scenario but I absolutely applaud the work. These videos are incredibly detailed and I love listening to them keep up the great work Avent !
28:52 The Ai voice is almost perfect with this one. It shows that ayanokoji has no emotion and even when he won, he didn't feel excitement like most people do. He just remained calm and blank like he always did.
I love this AU and that Ayanakoji went for the kill instead of letting Kira reach his full potential like ending the problem before it grows bigger and bigger (Ayanakoji as L is really intriguing )
Great vid but the downplay on Light is too big,1.he falls too easily for Ayankoji's trap since in the anime he wrote the names of criminals in advance like a week, months worth to avoid situations where If he were hospitalized or unable to continue killing he wouldn't be caught,2.They still need the real notebook with all the names written on it otherwise Light having a message sent to him by the security guard before he died could just be explained by saying something like he asked for help coz he suspected that someone was tempering with he's computer and how it's unfortunate that the guard died,3.Light us wayyy to sloppy in this video you telling someone who can erase any trace of his involvement on a policeman computer and is facing death if he gets caught is gonna leave the email sent by the security guard unchecked or even Erased if it were that risky he couldn't erase it I doubt he would have used the email method,4.Light could have found Ayankoji as soon as he found out he was being followed by bribing Ryuk with an apple and telling him to follow Tsukishiro which could possibly lead him to Ayankoji or his base of operation giving him a huge advantage....overall it's a great video but I feel like it's too one sided

I don't get why you made make Light dumb, like using his own email something that can be easily tracked back to him. This is something even BOS Light would never do. Also, he wouldn't break once Koji confronts him as Kira, he would play it off and move more carefully like he did in canon. I don't think Koji would let them work together like L did, but ultimately Light would win the long game once Misa and Rem come into the story making Light win high diff.
If Misa and rem are there, light would have gotten caught even faster. Misa is a double-edge sword for light and L in the original series. She serves as the tiebreaker to their stalemate, since light could make her meet L and tell him his name but L could use Misa to convict light since they both need to meet each other. Misa is so useful to light because he's already in close proximity with L and has the resources to know her moves. Ayanokoji is too well hidden and would have caught Misa's slip up leading to him getting the notebook without light knowing. By that time, ayanokoji would use the notebook in various ways such as posing to be the second kira.

This is the same dude that gets caught as being a high school student just because he didn't set the time for his kills early on. Regardless, light wouldn't be able to receive the message without taking the huge risk to get caught red handed and ayanokoji have sufficient evidence to convict him

I loved the video. It's very well researched. It does have some flaws though 1) Light wrote down the names of criminals changing the date so that they woukd die days in advance. In case he isnt able to write down names. Ayanokoji's plan relied on this so it wont work. It does work partially. Since if ghe criminals whose names are broadcast when the electricity is on die it would confirm kiyo's suspicion. 2) Light would definetely not use his email address. 3) It doesnt account for the second kira. Edit: The commentors are really smart. I missed somw things too. I missed a few things addressed in other comments.
Great video but I think this is kind of underestimating Light's intelligence because he might have for example written names in advance sometimes for them to die later and many other ways, I also think that light would have definitely noticed a pattern in the temperature and electricity of his house. Misa is also not taken into account.
Very well thought out, however i find a tiny flaw there. Based on what i know about Ayanokoji character (im anime only when it comes to class room of the elite though) im pretty sure he would think a bit more beyond the case it self and as such would not be as keen to end it this quickly. Sound argument to prolong the case would be that more information about the killing method is needed not to just catch the Kira but also to prosecute him successfully (its better to have confesion AND the murder weapon right?), in reality Ayanokoji would look for clues if that "power to kill" can be transfered to others and in the end would likely end up pocketing a page from the notebook. I can only imagine how would the story progress futher with the appearence of Misa Amane aka second Kira (which IMO would still happen just like in the original)
Hi LN reader here, the only reason he has as to why he wouldn't prolong the investigation here because it has a certain risk and he has to tackle it himself. Because his way of manipulation is indirect, and in the LN, he only sows the seeds needed for his plan to work and wait till it's time, using his classmates as tools for it.
Just like when he had the risk of being expelled by a white room student via the partner exam, he didn't prolong the fight and made sure immediately to find them.

If you put koji’s techniques in any real life situation or even SEMI realistic situation he is fucked. Sure DN doesn’t follow realism due to DN but Light’s manipulation actually does. Light is reliant to his deductions, social skills and attractive appearance which could get him much further than anything Koji can do. Koji is getting girls falling for him or is manipulating classmates for no reason it just has to happen. If Koji loses this plot armor that it seems to me he has in the anime he gets absolutely folded by Light. I could pinpoint many of his manipulations in S3 of the anime that are just bad and don’t work lol. Overall I think Light would win this.

Light would NEVER do that email mistake. Also he would immediately know that someone was hacking the power and internet, and write names with different times and causes of death. While also putting some measures to prevent the hacking. He would be immediately suspicious of some scholarship he never heard of and assume it’s the guy who was fucking with him. He would make the eye deal and kill him on the spot. Also narrowing down all of Japan would take way longer. This video assumes that Light is an idiot extremely prone to panic (which he just isn't even at the BOS). And that Ayonokoji is a magical telepath who figures out it is light after simply figuring out that it is a high schooler who is related to a police officer.
@@pikamananimations9430 He has light nerfed and his excuse is BOS LIGHT which is still crazy because in his hypothetical scenario the case still goes on for days while ayanakoji is gathering evidence. In the time Light would be experimenting with the notebook, and as soon as ryuuk tells him he’s being followed , he would assume he’s under surveillance, and probably write down names ahead of time. Light even says this in the show what if he gets sick of goes away on vacation and the killings stop . So yeah even BOS Light had a High iq, it doesn’t matter if its BOS Light because the case would drag on giving Light time to adapt to Ayanakoji

This is actually pretty solid. I can see the characters acting exactly like this. I kind of thought that Light would probably have written down names in the Death Note ahead of time and have there deaths scheduled out like he did in the series. This would make the whole house experiment not work, or at least, not work as expected. However, given that he has less practice with the death note and isnt constantly being taunted by L, he likely wouldnt have the experience or the inclination to do that. Solid story telling.
It’s a good video but the outcome and the conclusion of it is unrealistic and makes no sense. I don’t see a world ayanokoji outsmarts light in this situation
@@AventSir yes and no. Light gets smarter as the show progresses fairly obviously but besides the initial mistake against L he’s now on guard. After finding about ayanokoji he’d be on guard and would have countermeasures. Plus you really think light wouldn’t pick up on the constant temperature change and his internet turning off and on. I understand some of your points and if Koji doesn’t make himself known then he probably wins but if he does then light wouldn’t be so careless
@@Light2kira-0001 Why would Light pick up on the temperature for starters. He has never shown any kind of feat which would make you think that. As for the power and internet, Light would clearly notice but what could he do? He would either assume it's some kind of malfunction and continue as normal, or on the off chance he assumes it's targeted he would then change his routine to move somewhere else to gain the information for his killings. Observing this would just be more evidence for Ayanokouji so either way it doesn't really matter. Also as for the final take of Ayanokouji outsmarting Light idk why thats so hard to believe. Ayanokouji is considerably smarter than Light and beats him out in almost every aspect of outsmarting. I would find it FAR more unlikely if he couldn't beat Light.
@@TheHuntsman1001 He’s altering the temperatures every 30 minutes? You really think light wouldn’t pick up on that there may be a problem. Also following on Your next point again makes no sense; after L’s broadcast, Light becomes aware that he can’t just mess around and needs to be on guard to not get caught. Following this logic after discovering someone is after him. Koji setting up any sort of pattern is just stupid, as light would easily pick it up. Again, every 30 minutes? It’s such a poor way of trying to make Light lose again, Koji. Plus, at this point, his ego isn’t as high as it gets later on in the show, so it wouldn’t be hard for him to formulate a strategy or plan, something he’s shown to be able to do in these types of circumstances. Ayanokojii is not smarter than Light, and especially not in outsmarting. Koji only takes fsiq. Light then destroys him in everything else. Koji is shown to outsmart fodder and some smart characters, while Light is able to outsmart a detective who is smarter than the whole cote verse combined. Near and Mello, who are supposedly smarter than L, when their minds combined Even at the end, he showed that the plan he was able to make was perfect, even with his ego, and he only lost via a Mikiami mistake. Plus, at the end of this when Koji ‘catches him’, light wouldn’t lash out like he did at the end of the show, as he only did that because of how big his ego was after defeating L and now seeing near as inferior to L. The video is good, but it’s just a Koji hype video that glosses over the actual feats. Causing patterns and not suspecting light to pick on them is just silly as I’m sure light would actually send a challenge to Koji and how Koji is and not accepting it, light would also realise Koji doesn’t have an ego like himself what would make him even more on guard. Plus, after being followed, Light would implant various techniques to make sure he didn’t get caught, as shown in the whole potato chip scene.
@@Light2kira-0001 The only way you can make the argument that Light is superior to Ayanokouji in most facets of outsmarting is by using anime Koji only. Fair enough there since the COTE anime is a trash adaptation and none of Koji’s feats were made well. However LN Koji destroys Light. He is better in FSIQ, emotional intelligence, manipulation and deception, better strategy, planning foresight, reasoning, and is better at countering. LN Koji > Light Low Diff max. In short, read the LN for COTE. It’s way better than the anime.
I think there are some flaws with the way Light would react. 1st: Light has to notice that his killings do not always work, otherwise he wouldnt switch to his fathers access. But light also knows that his fathers access is limited, so he will try to find other ways to obtain information, also because he wants to change the WORLD, not just Japan. 2nd: Light will also be able to notice that someone is trying to find him: Ayanokoji has to make some patterns when he changes the names/faces of criminals. Light is probably able to recognize the patterns, he was for example able to predict the entirety of the time when he lost his memory, meaning he was able to find some patterns of how L works. He will notice that someone is chasing him, so he could for example change the time or cause of death to make it harder for Ayanokoji to solve the case. 3rd: I dont think Light would use the death note for his personal reasons. I think that he would definitely be enraged, but the death note/Kira and the student Light Yagami are separate characters. I thnik the video kinda forgets that Light is also able to reflect his own actions and is also able to predict the moves of someone else, even if it is anyanokoji, because also ayanokojis moves are kind of forced, just as L's were. I think that L would have also been able to solve the Kira case, he basically solved it, but Light simply has the advantage of the death note, something that only he knows of. Also, what about Misa? she recieved her note from rem and tried to find light as well. If Light and misa met in this scenario, Light wouldnt have had to use his fathers computer anymore because of misa, and a girlfriend is ususally nothing suspicious. Light would only stick out because of his exceptional grades and his father, but there are many different possibilities, like someone hacking the computer of a different police officer (which is what light did, but that could have been done by other people as well). I think Light just got nerfed in this video and that Light would have won (or at least not lost) for the same reasons that he beat L, the existence of the death note.
i think koji would catch light the moment he knew about "kira" having the data base of police he would prolly just change 1 name out of all criminals in the data base and make the name change unique to each cop and the moment "kira" would kill the criminals from the data base he would be pin pointed by koji because of the 1 criminal that koji specifically changed just for the data base sent to his father
Im still currently watching the video, but theres something i cant look past Its the fact that has an ego is only exploited if purposely done to. So with Light hacking into his fathers laptop and killing criminals without a plan, doesnt make to much sense? Light will definitely suspect hes being suspected and make counter plans, especially after criminals stop dying, as hes also aware of his patterns and also posseses a scientific cognitive attitude, when using the death note. Light acts with meticulous plans, unless his ego is being purposely attacked. Light would likely kill innocents the moment he realizes they stop broadcasting criminals, which is likely why L never did it. Speaking of L, i think youre downplaying the intelligence of characters in death note. While yes i can agree that Kojis feats are more digestive and even theoretically calcuable, that doesnt inherently entail taht other verses that arent as elaborate with the thought processes of characters are dumber. L is portrayed to be a detective that solves impossible cases, and it leagues above the defective world composited. L is able to make intuitions that are illogical throughout the series (as does koji), which doesnt mean its deduction skills, its the fact thta despite a nigh on infinite amount of possibilities L intuits the correct line of reasoning. While koji does this samething, theres no reason to think hes greater than L at this. Since the only anti feats of L is against someone relative to him While koji is against people hes drastically above So unless one can provide evidence that of someone other than koji rivaling L in intuition and efficiency theres no reason to think koji is cliffing the verse in intelligence. Also with Light regardless of if you think hes cliffed, relative or above L, Light is able to account for his intelligence and personality (during the good light arc) and devise a plan, that meticulously broke L down. Meaning he can account for someone to make nigh on perfect intuitions and reasoning, to create counter plays that disrupt their rythams, and put them into traps. So while i thinks koji is up there with Light and L, and may even be above them, hes only winning by exploiting Lights ego, and not of intellectually cliffing Also, i thinks its also a good idea to make a Light vs L theoretical rematch video. Since Light gets smarter as the series goes on
i think light would be smart enough to set up a death during the school interview to throw ayanokoji off, since he let him know that L is involved and he naturally would be wary of a worldclass detective.
i really really like this video my only problem is that, actually it's a fifty fifty in the end when light is confronted i feel like in desperation he might ask to take shinigami eye deal or maybe he would have taken it sooner if he felt pressured but only that really still incredible video as always man!
It is a good analysis but aren't you underestimating Light a bit too much. Ayanakoji unlike L might have emerged victorious in the end but there was no way that Light would have lost so easily.
I would like to say the was good but also suggest that light is not so stupid that he wouldn't notice something is off about the lights turning off and on so specifically and also he would not just sit around waiting after realising someone is after him and would think about all his previous actions that has led someone who is or may be an investigator getting so close to him even going so far to change his grades inside the school he will realise someone with enough influence to do that is behind so he will device a plane and do something about the stalker ,not sure how he would do but even if he is egoistic he wouldn't be so much careless as you shown him here as you have seen his cunningness and intelligence that is the same or more compared to l himself and he is able to turn the tables so highly disagree about the conclusion you suggested as i saw you only talked about how ayanokoji would do in situation like that but didn't really try to show how light would play . I hope you see my comment!!
I'm sorry Avent, but I'm going to have to disagree with this video because I see that this is very unbalanced in both characters. You explained a lot of things that Ayanokoji could do to capture Kira, but you barely explained anything that Light Yagami could do to avoid getting caught, I notice that the video is very forced on Koji's side and one of the things I hate most is seeing a character being Overrated. (If anyone is going to argue against me, please be respectful and explain things with reason and without favoritism.)
Short answer yes, Long answer also Yes but likely not upto Ls Standards and win Condition as he Would be able to deduce Lights communication with something/someone not visible along with hundreds of other Factors and would likely just directly steal the Death Note the moment Light becomes a suspect Considering His training in the white room id something that I'd argue Even L would Struggle to Keep Up with let alone guarantee surviving specifically unlike L who's acts our of a sense of Superiority and to maintain his Image in the battle of pride or light who fancies himself A God Aynakoji doesn't see himself see himself as anything more than a Human and due to his personality hed want to solve the case without ever Publicly revealing hes interested in it which is why he'd end up profiling Kiras Likely police access and instead of following the families through the Fbi would just monitor the database accesssnd then through that find suspicious access from lights dad's credentials instantly homing in on a prime suspect and then with his ability to read people hed be able to determine livht matches the highest probable profile of Kira especially since his death pattern is only changed after he knows hes being Investigated and all hed have to do is enter the room and with his analytical ability instantly locate and deduce the death notes hiding place
(the comment above was my answer to the question before watching the video) Specifically my reasoning is based on the 2003 setting of death note. As An Example VPNs were Far Less Accessible or even known as a concept even Amongst tech Enthusiast Let alone a teenager like light and Setting up a VPN would cost you an Arm And a Leg to set up so I specifically ruled out VPNs as a possibility but IP Scrambling is still a possibility even without a VPN To Route Network traffic through and because we never actually see light setting up the backdoor on his Farthers computer we have no way of knowing exactly how it functions though even with Japan's Lagging Equipment at the time their would still Be Access logs to any database especially police ones and along with that such lots would be under a level of presumed security that I doubt lights farther has clearance for, On top of this lights farther is one of the few who would likely have access to the specific database Remotely and even if he doesn't initially narrow it to the Kanto Region he could simply place a file on each individual police department across Japan's databases and Monitor them for access, and especially seeing the files Accessed outside of school ours and outside of lights Farthers work hours hed be able to deduce to the point that it's someone connected to a police chief at minimum due to the remote Access and then all He'd have to do is insert a file that sends a constant ping once opened back to Koji whom even if light was scrambling his IP would Reveal his location eventually and I'd see him sending someone or himself to investigate the small pool of suspects to develop a profile on them and would be Able to a determine light as the most likely suspect and to be safe hed investigate lights room and find the Death Note Ultimately Resetting the room to how he entered even if Light was Using the Trick with the doors latches and then with this hed either forward everything to the real L or Formally publicly reveal he's investigating light under the Persona to Give L the credit for solving the kira case because he was wouldn't want the attention

Like your videos but what you said about kiras name is the dumbest thing ive ever heard. Kira's name isnt kira, its just what the japanese public referred to the (at the time presumed) international criminal, and the manga called him kira because the focus point was in Japan, but i imagine during the initial stages of the case, through out the world each population had their own name for Kira.
One person has solved mysteries, their entire lives against some of the worst people in existence. And the other one has only really bested kids. Adults constantly in the show prove time and time again they have power over him.
L is great because he manages to create a situation to corner kira, even though what kira has been doing is basically witchcraft from the eyes of them.. i dont know if ayanokoji can manage that, since 1 ayanokoji's brain function like a computer where only logic matters and 2 ayanokoji's expertise is reading what the other person is planning and manipulating them through that, while L's brain function is very human but very ingenious way.. L takes the facts, theories, and fiction in a solid category, and also he strongly believes in his guts which ayanokoji wont do

W opinion but I don't think light can beat koji. Koji's setting Traps and strategies are too unpredictable for him like how koji expelled takuya with just a letter and how koji stabbed himself with a knife which was completely unpredictable for hosen. He is always two steps ahead of everyone and everything he does in planned and logical. While Light's planning, manipulation, creativity and deception is insane, I don't think he can compete with koji since koji will use light's own ego against him. Koji is basically a combination of both L and Light He is both deductive/logical and manipulative/strategic
@@AfnaanWIS His foresight pales in comparison to koji though. Well, I believe that most of the strategies and information you have mentioned have already been considered and thought of by L but he believes that it would not be the best to use them. Although it would be interesting to see what would've happened if things played out differently.
Ayanakoji is so lame and really not that smart. He hasn’t done anything all that clever throughout the 3 seasons of the show. It’s all super basic and repetitive tactics (e.g., “go spy on this person”), but people think he’s a super-genius, because he has a bored expression and occasionally drops some random, cringe quote. COTE was written by a dumb person, who clearly doesn’t know what it’s like to be intelligent, so they ended up making a crude caricature of a smart person. Edit: In other words, he could never solve the Kira case, and really doesn’t deserve to be grouped with characters like Light and Johan. If Light is Goliath, Ayanakoji is David without the slingshot.
I think it's fair to disagree with the outcome or dislike the character but basing everything off of what is widely considered a bad adaptation of the source material seems silly. Year 1 or what the anime has covered is just the tip of the iceberg. He's much smarter than you're giving him credit for and I don't think it's a hot take at all to put him in the same conversation as L or Light after reading Year 2.
Using the anime for koji to scale him is actually retarded since the anime itself is just dog shit compared to the LN the anime legitimately skips everything from ln and doesn’t include his feats
What is stopping light from just not killing people when he realizes the media is being manipulated. He could just stop entirely for years. He would totally do that too. He was willing to burn the deathnote instead of being caught.

Light's ego did make him look dumber, the story itself makes it clear to us.
can i touch you
You had me right up until the end.
While I do agree Light would lose or at least be put in a position where he can't use the death note anymore, it won't be this easy.
light wouldn't lose. but i agree it wouldn't be easy on either party
This will not be easy for ayanokoji, he would have to use 100% of his brain power to catch him
I do also agree with this and to add on, if Light did get into this situation he could've made the deal with Ryuuk for the Shinigami eyes as well since it would be that or death. the only reason he couldn't in the main story was because matsuda shot him
This video has actually made me realise something about Light that I'd never considered before, like Ayanokoji, Light is very much a genius in adaption.
@@JusDarkSage Yeah this video hella nerfs light into being a blumbering idiot
Obviously he would be monitoring only the names he leaks on the media
“Ayanakoji can’t solve the case in one day, the longer ayanakoji takes, the more time light has to experiment with the Notebook.”
Plus the electricity going out would have been pointless because criminals would still be dying without Lights knowledge.
Light isn’t dumb, Beginning of Series Light is still Light , you give him enough time he will out wit you especially with a supernatural notebook. Light was even willing to destroy the note book if it came to that.

@@lakshaykochhar6799 I think it works for all aspects of story, whenever comparing two characters from separate story-lines with different scaling systems its really an interpretative discussion, and each character would have their perspective wins given the right plot and/or story.
@@Cdub.z while that is true in a lot of cases especially in arguments where people are just too fucking lazy to analyze
fans could just simply compare shown feats of both characters (aka power scaling) it could either be hacks, intelligences and more
while its true that most battles are scaled through interpretations and some are more biased than the other
its not rlly like the creator of this story had any other choice but to make ayanokoji's institution and the wammy's house a joint cooperations since both of them are so similar so in this interpretation i think its justifiable to call this a fan fiction since we have seen both feats from both character and if ayanokoji were to have the same resource as L then this would most likely be the outcome anyways judging by both of their demeanor and how they do things
i know ive strafed away from the main point but i just wanted to point it out but yeah
The reality why ayankoji won was because he doesn't have emotions simple. Even rational genius like light or L act upon emotions. Which is why someone like ayankoji is perfect counter. He doesn't have emotions. So it's easy for him to deduct possibilities rather than acting emotionally. Think of him as a computer.
The fact that his grades were off, someone was watching him, and his lights and power is going on and off, I’m sure light will know something is off.

@@JusDarkSage What does "BOS" mean?
Light would still be caught by the cops, but Ayakonoji would die right there.
ayanokoji would probably be wearing a mask in the final confrontation

@@omokoladeowoeye2939I agree but in all honesty regardless of his opinion Koji would probably lose if he just goes to DN verse. So far after 3 seasons of anime I’m not convinced of ayanokoji’s manipulation techniques and it seems to me that his “manipulation” works because it has to work.

This video assumes that Light is an idiot extremely prone to panic (which he just isn't even at the BOS). And that Ayonokoji is a magical telepath who figures out it is light after simply figuring out that it is a high schooler who is related to a police officer.
Still a cool video tho
@@pikamananimations9430 He has light nerfed and his excuse is BOS LIGHT which is still crazy because in his hypothetical scenario the case still goes on for days while ayanakoji is gathering evidence.

I don’t see a world ayanokoji outsmarts light in this situation
just imagine ep 1-2 Light, hes alot worse than a later Light
OMG COMMON W!!!! ❤
THA GOATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
i think koji would catch light the moment he knew about "kira" having the data base of police he would prolly just change 1 name out of all criminals in the data base and make the name change unique to each cop and the moment "kira" would kill the criminals from the data base he would be pin pointed by koji because of the 1 criminal that koji specifically changed just for the data base sent to his father
Im still currently watching the video, but theres something i cant look past
Its the fact that has an ego is only exploited if purposely done to.
Since the only anti feats of L is against someone relative to him
While koji is against people hes drastically above
So unless one can provide evidence that of someone other than koji rivaling L in intuition and efficiency theres no reason to think koji is cliffing the verse in intelligence.
So while i thinks koji is up there with Light and L, and may even be above them, hes only winning by exploiting Lights ego, and not of intellectually cliffing
Also, i thinks its also a good idea to make a Light vs L theoretical rematch video.
Since Light gets smarter as the series goes on
Amazing video! You really made a captivating story!
i think light would be smart enough to set up a death during the school interview to throw ayanokoji off, since he let him know that L is involved and he naturally would be wary of a worldclass detective.
i really really like this video my only problem is that, actually it's a fifty fifty in the end when light is confronted i feel like in desperation he might ask to take shinigami eye deal or maybe he would have taken it sooner if he felt pressured but only that really still incredible video as always man!
Ok how Is the AC on when The electricity is out.
As An Example VPNs were Far Less Accessible or even known as a concept even Amongst tech Enthusiast Let alone a teenager like light and Setting up a VPN would cost you an Arm And a Leg to set up so I specifically ruled out VPNs as a possibility but IP Scrambling is still a possibility even without a VPN To Route Network traffic through and because we never actually see light setting up the backdoor on his Farthers computer we have no way of knowing exactly how it functions though even with Japan's Lagging Equipment at the time their would still Be Access logs to any database especially police ones and along with that such lots would be under a level of presumed security that I doubt lights farther has clearance for,
On top of this lights farther is one of the few who would likely have access to the specific database Remotely and even if he doesn't initially narrow it to the Kanto Region he could simply place a file on each individual police department across Japan's databases and Monitor them for access, and especially seeing the files Accessed outside of school ours and outside of lights Farthers work hours hed be able to deduce to the point that it's someone connected to a police chief at minimum due to the remote Access and then all He'd have to do is insert a file that sends a constant ping once opened back to Koji whom even if light was scrambling his IP would Reveal his location eventually and I'd see him sending someone or himself to investigate the small pool of suspects to develop a profile on them and would be Able to a determine light as the most likely suspect and to be safe hed investigate lights room and find the Death Note Ultimately Resetting the room to how he entered even if Light was Using the Trick with the doors latches and then with this hed either forward everything to the real L or Formally publicly reveal he's investigating light under the Persona to Give L the credit for solving the kira case because he was wouldn't want the attention
