@ The WV Garage Had a question about your Rafd control wires, that ran to the unit. How did you wire up the new fans, and what did you do with the old rad control wires on the loom. Did you cut them off, or just hang them up in the fender? Im at this stage right now, and trying to figure out what wires from the rad control i need for the new electric fans from the old rad control wires if any. I am keeping AC, so i need the fans to come on when the AC kick on.
Lucid Autowerks it’s the passenger side of a rhd mk3. So both passenger side of right and left hand drive. T-stat housing cover can be found on ECS tuning.
Hey man, very informative so far. But I have a couple more questions as I'm doing a mk4 12v VR6, and need to no, along with the abs delete. How did you delete your EGR and SCi stuff.? Along with that awesome coolant resivior on the back of the engine And a different power steering resivoir. I know a 2000 MK4 12v has a different intake manifold than yours, but if you can point me in the right direction with how you did that stuff and what aftermarket part support I will need to take into consideration. Any help would be awesome VW Vortex can only get me so far, without pictures... Thanks!
Chris Reitz you’ll need to custom fit some hoses. The hardware on the timing cover will work to mount it. Then join the wires for the coolant ball sensor to stop the light on the dash from flashing. Or stick a fuse in it.
Wow its uncanny how close to identical my buddies old mk3 looks to yours. He sold his along time ago. Pretty sure he was even running the same BBS, smoked ecodes, textured flares/ mouldings, etc. How long have you owned this? Where did you pick it up from? Looks good. Can't beat the old AAA!
@@TheVWGarage Nice. Yeah, out here in upstate NY my buddy had one that looked damn near identical. I believe he's sold it awhile back. When he got his it was something like 15 years ago or more. He also had a set of wide staggered Type-A's he would run occasionally. Definitely weird seeing an almost identical car, but it's a small world I guess. Anyways dude, it's a nice ride. Makes me really miss the mk2 gli I built to no end with a screamer of an AAA under the hood. The TDI 5th gear in that car with the Quaife was a must-do mod, and I'd strongly recommend it, as well as a good clutch/ LTWFW and modded or complete shifter box. Really makes driving these cars much better. Thanks for sharing your wire tuck man. Keep it real! 👍😎
You should get get new short ram intake form sp Performance it’s Pretty ... i run that on my vr6 mk1 ...looks amazing ...what you coolant res did you run ?

Detonate Klubstompers Judy connect the slim fans to the factory fan plug. Just that easy.
@@TheVWGarage Thank you much man!!
Is that a smoothed rain tray? It's all about the small details. Where is that cover over the top of the thermostat housing from?

Estevan Valdez I’ll be getting an intake soon. I got the tank from Blood and fire fabrication on IG.
My Kingdom for a MK3!
Are these engines that really bad like many ppl says to me? Vr6
Oscar Rivera no. They just need to be maintained like any other. Chains at about 100k and regular oil changes and you’ll be fine.
@@TheVWGarage Thanks for tour feedback. Are vr6 more reliable than 1.8t?
I have a 98 gti vr6 I could not find the evap system and I am getting code 1473 any help would be appreciated I checked in the wheel well nothingg
Lucila Rodriguez evap system is in the passenger side wheel well. If not the. It was removed
Can you be more specific the differences between Mk3 and Mk2 rear beam ?
Baconator T3 12mm narrower on each side. Always you to run wider or lower et wheels.
