6:06 I’m so glad you mentioned that. I’m so dense I wouldve just mixed it all at once.
0:35I don’t see the recipe in the description!

Much appreciated. I think in my case I was using way to much pine tar, like 20-23% and it was causing me issues, lol! I'll remember to stir in the pine tar! That seems to be the most important part. I have so many family members that have psoriasis and or eczema. The psoriasis runs hard in our family tree. Much thanks for all you do for the soaping community, Jen!

Love your energy, My daughter just came and showed me the tiny piece she has left , so we will be making pine tar on Friday. That is the only soap she uses on her her face.

You could make your own recipe? Pine tar has a SAP value of .043
Normally I would suggest if a lye calculator doesn't have pine tar then choose the same value from another oil but in this case there is not that many oils that even come close to this value. Maybe honey but that's not even good enough.
When I make it I choose oils that do not saponify fast to counteract the pine tar to give me more time.
Since pine tar is so strong I believe I might even lower the percentage to 2%-5%. This allows me to stick blend it with the rest of the oils. I give it a quick blend, just enough, and then pour. It pours out very smoothly and not thick. The last batch I made was last year. Maybe even the year before? Hmm, come to think of it I might even open them now to see if it still smells like pine tar.

When I made pine tar soap that was my #1 seller, my Husband's favorite, I still make a very small batch for him, but women also enjoyed it very much..

I’m sorry but if I was making a video and my kids get coming in and interrupting me, I’d be so annoyed. There’s a difference between showing “real life” and making a good video.

      Rude

      @@kezru1581 no not rude. Fact.
      1. When making soap, it’s safer to have kids and pets out of the area. Not just for them, but also so you don’t make a mistake
      2. When watching a video it’s very distracting to the viewer to have kids interrupting and phones ringing in the video

She let us tag along while she made a soap. She didn't have to make the video or give her recipe. If she took this advice years ago when her boys were younger, she would not have a successful business. Not everyone has the luxury of soaping in a quiet house. She makes soap in a busy area, because that's where her business in done. People are packing orders and doing all kinds of stuff around her because they can't stop doing business for her to film. Being a mom is hard enough without people making unnecessary comments.

Lol. It certainly has not effected her business. Don't like it, move along.

If you have followed Jen all the many years she's made soap, she always involved and cared for her young children, so stop, just because it would annoy you it doesn't seem to bother other's...wow
