I paid 1300 and change for the competition ECU and the CCU but I had to buy the mode switch separately on eBay , in Canada none of it comes stock I still need a fmf exhaust I removed the baffle out of my muffler it’s so small and yha I hear you the 250 is more then enough for my weight I’m just a small guy 5”7” 160 lbs
@@SWTrailsAndWheels yha 2023 it’s a wicked bike . I’ve got over 2450 km on my bike now and it’s running like brand new still . Had a few spills now broke the clutch and break leavers already lol I’ve replaced them already and I crack the side shroud on the right side of gas tank . My son me and a friend of ours where climbing a hill my son got stuck then my friend cause my son was in his way I got past them both but I didn’t get past the tree blocking my way . One inch more I would of made it up but the tree just hit my right hand bark buster and sent me straight into that tree lol we where in some tight single track trails . My first time on a designated single track for racing wow was that fun man?
@@SWTrailsAndWheels yha I just looked it up and the competition ECU and CCU didn’t come out for the 2019 The 2020 and up for the 250f the 2023 also has the new yz head on it 16000 rpm wicked bike man
Thanks for the video! I have a few questions: 1. What kind of fuel range are you getting with the stock tank? 2. Does it run hot/does the fan often come on? 3. How would you describe the bottom end torque? Could I blip the throttle in 3rd gear to go over a small ditch?
You're welcome! 1. With the stock tank I can get 80 to 90 miles. 2. Even when running in summer, this bike runs cooler than other Enduro bikes that typically run in my group. Riders on CRF450x, and KTM 250 or 450 four strokes have had overheating problems on rides the WR250F has been fine on. 3. With the GYTR tuner you can set up the bike to be pretty snappy. The stock map with all parameters at zero felt overly responsive and the front wheel could pop up on throttle alone in third. With my current map I can blip in second and with a bit of weight transfer the front wheel will come up. Third would require a bit of clutch on my current map.
@@SWTrailsAndWheels 80-90 miles is enough for most folks, but I like to stretch that out to 100-110. There should be some aftermarket tanks that can help. How are 60mph speeds. I know you said it goes to 85 but can it comfortably cruise at 60-65? I’m not doing these speeds often but it’s nice to know.
@@fynn8252 60 to 65 mph feels super smooth and easy. It's actually quite fun in twisting mountain roads even with knobbies. 130 miles like I can get on my CRF230F would be nice for some rides and I do find myself towing more than when my 230F was my only dirtbike.
@@MrClarkM It was installed when I bought the bike and I haven't tried a stock ECU. But the GYTR ECU did help me to tune out the snappy throttle to make it more mellow once I bought the Tuner.
1000 miles in 7 months? That's awesome! Thanks for the review and posting.
Thanks. I'm lucky enough to live close to many awesome trails and typically ride 20 to 50 miles per week.
Good video Tony…. edits were great… cool that you get to share this… 🤘🏽
Finally you found and made so good your unicorn!
Ha! Ha! It took a bit of work. It is only an Enduro unicorn really. Now I need to find an Adventure Bike Unicorn...T7, New KLR650..., Africa Twin....

You must have a newer one. I don't think my 2019 has an option for a mode switch.

Hi I have the same bike and love mine too . Are you still running your stock exhaust ?
Running the FMF exhaust.
@@SWTrailsAndWheels Awesome thanks . Did the competition ECU make much of a difference?
