  • In this five-part video series you are given the chance to take a closer look into the Sadowsky Germany instrument production, as Nicolas Wilfer (C.E.O. of Sadowsky Germany) and Lars Lehman (German session musician and journalist) take you on a tour to show you everything that is to know about Sadowsky basses made in Germany. Starting at wood selection over production techniques that are unique to the industry to assembly and Sadowsky specific electronics. We guide you through the entire process step by step and answer some questions on how this special collaboration with Roger Sadowsky originated and how the German production differs but keeps true its American roots to deliver the unique and authentic Sadowsky experience and improving on it.
In this part we focus on the manufacturing of Sadowsky necks, and go deeper into truss rods, the Invisible Fret Technology, lacquering and sanding.

I really enjoy this series - especially since I’m looking to grab a Sadowsky in the near future - but why do we have to wait so long for a new episode? :) To be continued…

Thanks for this video. I'd been waiting for a long time for such a detailed explanation of the process and neck structure. I am wondering if you guys put carbon fiber rods in Metro Express necks too?

Interesting videos, very entertaining! I've red a few opinions from U.S. Sadowsky owners that the neck of the German Metroline series a litl bit different than NYC models - I don't have any of them, ain't got any experience, just curious all about the new series of Sadowsky basses. I'm using a Japanese M5-24 for 2 years, it's a killer simply... first bass in my career at which I don't feel like to change the PUs or electronics... haha!
