i love this model it is one of my favorite ones. It's not that hard and the final result is amazing. And even more there is that point when you fold it in half and at first you think it's a square with some folds on the edges but hen you go OMFG it's a humming bird!
@Buraion Yeah... I know. I was without patience that day cuz I was sick and also I didn't remember some steps... I'll try to remake this video later, but for now it's at least possible to get the base.
Hi Tadashi, I'm a window dresser and I'm planing using this model in my next window for spring. It will be assemble down here in New York City. The whole scenery will be make by me of origami such as the butterfly, the wasp, the hummingbird and others - must of them i learned from your videos. I hope you like the Idea.
the last time i made a great version of this was like 2 years ago. i was so proud I sprayed lacquer on it and made an origami flower pot and flower and glued him so he looked like he was drinking. i have g=big paper now instead of 6x6 in so i think it's going vry well.

Its pretty difficult but i made it (: proud of myself hahaha guys, you need something larger than 6'' x 6 '' , my hummingbird is really really ugly hahaha. my back hurts, my eyes do also and idk, going to sleep now :D
