      Except it isn't. The older you get the worse off you are when it comes to those fine movements. It's the newer generation that went from pampers to 4 to 8+ hour gaming sessions. The "aiming gods" are generally fairly young 15 to 20ish.
      Can't forget ping and specs. Even if your a better shot, if the server registers their press before yours even if you clicked first, you still lose. Imo shitty servers are a driving factor of huge clips and prefiring every corner.

      I generally play with super budget (early wipe) gear because not only does it help with gear fear, but it also teaches you to play better by learning player behavior and how to outplay people who have superior gear. Its also way more rewarding when you get kills or get cool loot.

    One thing thats helped me drastically is literally just taking it super slow. I think once your good enough youll know the areas to run and when not to.
    But seriously next time your creeping along stop crouch and take a look around...youll start to notice there arent as many angles on you as you thought. Ive had times where just by sitting still ive either hide from groups of enemies or was able to get the jump on someone.

      work on everything in this video and look up tactic guides. I used RUclips guides to refine my tactics, positioning, movement and composure in a fire fight and have seen huge improvements in my survivability. Sometimes though you just get blindsided from an angle you could never cover and loose everything anyway. Scav runs are the answer, alternate between PMC and Scav make decent money from scav runs as they are a lot easier to survive and then use that money to stockpile decent gear for future raids. That way if you do die by random chance or you fuck up and panic fire a whole clip in to the wall next to the enemy's head, it doesn't hurt so much to loose the gear cause you already have replacements.

Like to the point that I STILL run in the open like an idiot but I get away with it 98% of the time but as soon as I hop on US servers I’m dying on average 1 minute no joke. So I scav and rat on Ukraine servers pinging 150..yes it’s a lot but what does it matter when all I’m doing is looting and popping scavs? I do this until I have too much gear I won’t sell that i can afford losing and tons of money then hop back on us and try my quests and what not that way I don’t always suck at the game and I can at least gear up and have no gear fear which is pointless but does peek it’s ugly head out. I’m 7 weeks in and tonight frustrated. That’s why I’m here. Anyway, hope that helps someone. Go to a “quiet” server like across the pond when it’s 2 am on a Monday there but 3pm here. It’s gotten me much further than where I thought I’d be st all honestly. I thought learning a map was terrifying..good luck.

    Thanks man for this summary! I've noticed that Tarkov is 60-75% mental game. In my case if I play in hurry, pissed off, tired, nervous or with hyperactivity kicking in (ADHD), results are usually bad. Same goes if I let enemy to get inside my head. Took a long to accept the fact that gotta take some breaks between some raids, if get killed don't let it affect on mindset, if enemy plays cheeky or "dirty", just back your feelings couple of steps backwards and re-focus yourself thinking "this is just another joker on grinder". Other thing is also to respect yourself and your opponents. Like if some lvl10 dude plays you down and you die, that was good work from him/her and sometines tough luck for you. Nothing in Tarkov comes free, except sudden death from dark corners and too far to see horizons. That's the soul of the game, and that's why I love it so much.

    • @nerdgasam6838
      @nerdgasam6838 3 года назад

      I would recommend always alternating between PMC run and Scav run. If you do this, you often end up going in to raids with less gear fear cause you either just made bank or can on the next Scav run even if you die and loose all your gear.
      I found a reliable Scav run route through Reserve and can easily make 200k + without Flea Market and 500K + with Flea Market fairly easily on a moderately successful run. Pulled off a 850k Scav run yesterday (looted a second customs Marked key from a jacket and had decent luck with filing cabinets) and used that to finalize my kit for the next 6 or so runs. I wasn't that worried when I lost lvl 5 armor and an RPK on my next PMC run because my weapons and armor for the next 5 or 6 raids are sat in my stash waiting. Edit: also with the Scav karma changes friendly player Scavs are abundant and even friendly PMC's are becoming more frequent to find because the benefits of raising your fence rep/Scav karma are really quite good, better starting gear for Scavs and quicker cooldown between Scav runs thanks to higher Fence rep make a big difference in the long run.

    I found for myself that i can best play with semi auto high calibre rifles like the m1a or vpr hunter with at least m80 ammunition in it, if not m62 or m61. I dont play enough to remember spray behaviour of all sorts of ak's and stuff and i dont want to spend the money and time to mod them to make them playable for me. With an m1a i can take out litteraly any big boy in the raid with 2 or 3 shots or sth center mass, and its controllable and not an ammo waste like a full spray out of an ak with bs ammo in it. And im good for close quaters and also longer ranges.
    I struggle most in those firefights where the enemy and me see or hear each other simultaneously. Often im not sure if they've heard or seen me already so i wait to not make noise and get naded, happened 3 times or sth today and it was basically my only cause of dying besides getting shot in the back. I need to be more agressive in those situations

      Lower your sensitivity. Use either a 360 or 180 sensitivity (one 180 or one 360 when swiping from the furthest edge of your mouse pad to the other. Ideally you have a larger mouse pad.)
      Turn off anti-aliasing and turn off sharpness in the graphics settings. Turning both on causes the game to be very blurry and this makes it really hard to see at distance and to see what you're shooting at.
      Try using low-power scopes with backup sights (ACOG with RMR, SIG Bravo 2, HAMR) or low-power variable optics like the Valday, Elcan Specter, Burris Far Field, and EOTech Vudu. Also consider the Monstrum 2x scope, which is useful in both CQB and long range combat. It's easier to hit targets when they're larger on your screen but you have the option of simply using 1x in close quarters if you need to, but make sure you take into account how FOV changes the way scopes behave. At around 90 FOV and 50 FOV scopes look normal, but on any other setting the field of view in the scope becomes restricted. Also mounting some scopes on some weapons, like the Saiga 12, can cause them to also have funky FOV.
      Use full auto more in close quarters. A lot of players are scared to use it because they're afraid of missing shots and don't know how to control recoil, but realistically your hit probability is going to be higher within a certain range on full auto than otherwise. Recoil is easy to control and all you have to do is slightly pull down on the first few shots and then your PMC controls the recoil himself. If you don't use full auto you might not actually even deal enough DPS to kill highly geared players using some types of ammo. If you're using BT 5.45x39, for example, you will get decent armor damage but it's not going to pen level 4 on the first shot. You have to use full auto or you're just not going to win with BT. If you have trouble with recoil it's worth trying to level the recoil control still. It will passively level over time since it ticks up every time you shoot a few rounds or so, but if you want to power level it you just need to bring an insured AKS-74u and 160 PS rounds inside magazines into a raid, shoot them all, then hide them in a bush. I recommend bringing a pistol and a backpack when you do this so you can continue the rest of the raid and maybe pick up some loot before extracting. It will take a while but it's worth it.
      Hip fire in close quarters unless you're using a single-shot weapon or pistol, and preferably put a laser on your weapon for this purpose. Movement is just as important as shooting when you get into an aim duel, and if you can sufficiently throw off an enemy's aim you will win even if your aim is mediocre. Hip fire allows you to keep maximum mobility while simultaneously allowing you to shoot. Always sidestep or oscillate laterally in a random pattern to make it difficult to hit your head.
      Tarkov has pretty large peeker's advantage. In most games the server can't update fast enough to ensure that a passive player sees an enemy quickly peeking around a corner, so the peeker will always get 100 or 200 milliseconds to see and shoot before the passive player can respond. If you hold angles a lot in Tarkov you will die unless the enemy doesn't know where you are, so you should either be peeking quickly or holding off-angles that people won't expect.
      Make sure you're hitting in the torso/head region if you're using most rifles. There are occasions in which leg meta is the best option, but normally torso/head is more important. If you miss low even just a little bit you'll hit the stomach hitbox, which takes about as much damage as a leg, so you'll likely lose the fight because it seems like you dumped 14 rounds into him and he didn't even take much damage. The torso takes much more damage and you can easily 2 or 3-shot someone, so aim carefully. Make a conscious effort to aim at the region in between the torso and head on PMCs.
      When you're using iron sights and scopes it's important to consider how the weapon you're using and the zeroing setting change your point of impact. The Saiga 9 on the default zeroing setting shoots really high at 30 - 50 meters, for example. You can see it really easily if you grab green tracers and shoot them--the bullets go like 3 feet above the front sight at that range. If you aim at an enemy's head you will 100% miss if you're shooting high. I see a lot of streamers misunderstand that when they snipe, so they will have their scope set to a 50m zero and try to shoot at a target 100m away, and their rounds fly right over the enemy's head. The reason this happens is because zeroing works kind of like this: The sight axis (straight line extending from the sight) intersects the bore axis at such an angle that it's looking at where the bullet will hit at 50 meters; however, bullets arc in flight and the barrel is typically pointing higher than the sight axis to compensate, so the sight might cross the bore axis at 50m, but the round is going to drop back down again and cross the bore axis at 200 meters. The same is true for a 25m zero: The round will cross the sight axis at 25m and 300m. If you aim at a target 50m away with a 25m zero you will hit high. If you aim at 350m you will hit low.

    Well, thankfully we have reached a time after wipe where most people has cash enough so you get more back from insurance. The "not found in raid" may also have helped a bit. As someone else also mentioned, if you use cheap items people rarely take all you stuff now. Also "half broken" items like lvl 4 or even 5 armors or the armored wests too. Pvp people usually has their own stuff on & has no space for yours. Of cause there is hatchet runners & scavs that may "hoover" all you gear, but thankfully it isnt "early wipe" so it happens more & more rarely. Doing a few quick scav runs .. not to pvp .. but just to grab a few junk items & then immediately exit & sell it all. It all adds up. Or you can reuse the scav gear with better ammo of cause.

    I just adopt a fun mindset after losing some gear. Got robbed of that nice rifle and a bunch of ammo? Time for a couple rounds as Mosin Man (tm) or just some asshole with a shotgun. I enjoy the lower stakes that come with that, and it’s always even more fun if it does end up working out, since clapping some geared-up gigachad commando-looking dude using a 100 year old bolt-action rifle and walking off wearing all his cool stuff is always a great feeling.

    I try to follow the mentality, but I can’t get any ammo types for my weapons because I’m not a high enough level. I follow the tips, but I can’t do anything because of combat lag. Whenever I get into a firefight with a player, I just freeze and 3 seconds later I’m dead because there’s nothing I could do. I don’t know what to do to fix this. I have a pretty decent desktop. I can do offline matches just fine. I tried looking up guides but I couldn’t find anything. Does anyone here have any advice?

      There are plenty of great vids on setting up for the best performance. If you havnt already try lowering the detail setting to gain a boost in your FPS, there won't be much of a visual decrease to the aesthetic but can have massive improvements on performance.

    Sorry, but these reasons are quite shitty. You are talking about ammo, cover all that stuff. I run very good gear, best ammo, even very good weapons. I use cover. Slicing the pie. And I get shot from I don't know where. These tips don't help soloquers. You run with your friend at the open. If I were you, I got shot already. But I agree that tilting and frustration gets best of us.

  • @seanie502

    My main issue with tarkov is you can’t just drop in and do one raid, you basically have to dedicate serious time in just to get anything decent, that sort of commitment is far too much for the average player so there’s like a top 10% of players who do nothing but play tarkov and take advantage of literally every single thing they can. I’m not saying they need to make the game easier but they really need to make it even slightly more accessible to those of us who don’t have the time to become “career” tarkov players or even those of us that have no option but to play solo.

    • @skmo7072
      @skmo7072 4 года назад +3

      I would disagree. You can literally drop in as a scav and get decent enough random gear on the scav to make a good start on your next pmc raid. You can also find some v valuable items and gear in raid. You can get plenty of decent stuff without dedicating loads of time. I think the fact there’s depth and serious players can go ham if they want and spend millions on load outs and master the game is what gives the game its unique charm. Personally I like rolling in with pretty cheap gear, spending a bit of money on ammo, and taking out geared guys - massive return on investment. I def don’t commit load of time to mastering everything, I only play solo, and I’m pretty shit and I die a lot. But it’s still fun - and when you take someone down who should have battered you it’s excellent.

    • @seanie502
      @seanie502 4 года назад

      S K that’s exactly the issue? Players without the time to learn everything in depth are going to die on nearly every raid, and scav isn’t much better because other player scavs shoot at you instantly, even if the ai don’t, it’s literally the same as pmc but you get some random(usually crappy) gear, and then it’s business as usual, scav or pmc.

    • @skmo7072
      @skmo7072 4 года назад +2

      seanie502 I mean, of course there is a correlation between practise and success, as there should be. It’s not as extreme as you’re saying though. I die a lot but not nearly every raid. I got to level 36 so far, maxed the hideout- you can still progress even if you die a lot and aren’t a career player. Yeah there will always be ridiculous teams of hyper geared chads who annihilate everyone and know every nook and angle and trick - but what’s great about Tarkov is that you can even take them out if you’re clever, even if you’re running shitty gear. I think the hardest part for new players is understanding that dying and losing everything is not that big a deal. Once they get their head around ammo and learn a few maps, they’re pretty much set to do ok

    • @br0leg274
      @br0leg274 4 года назад +1

      @@seanie502 that's in every progress driven game a thing.
      Try to get into bf3/b4 and getting shattert by lvl 100/140 guys in with thermal attack helicopters or tanks.
      If you don't invest time to you will fallback. That's a fact in every game.
      But u need to learn the loot table. I get out of scav runs nearly 100-300k roubles you need to know what the to take

    • @seanie502
      @seanie502 4 года назад

      br0leg Z you can’t compare tarkov to bf3/4, I played both. You’re just strengthening my argument, Tarkov requires almost too much time and effort to even figure out what’s worth a lot and what isn’t. It isn’t easily accessible to the average player. It goes so above and beyond in the hardcore “no help” depth that it’s entirely confusing to someone who hasn’t sat down and researched the basics. I mean there isn’t even a damn tutorial, it just goes “here is a picture of some of the controls, enjoy getting 1 tapped on your first 30 factory runs”
      Edit: also, just to solidify that you can’t compare them, you don’t lose everything you have equipped in bf3/4 when you die, so you learn without having to take hard defeats that will likely put you off the game before you even get to the point of understanding most of it.

      Survival rate is just a variable in basically how much $$$$ you average per run. someone going in with 50k gear that averages 250k per run and survives 1 out of 3 times is better than someone who goes in with the same 50k gear that survives 2 out of 3 times but only averages 100k per run

    Become a bush, go for scav kills until you reach level 10 while staying a bush, noone will ever find you just stay still. Once you reach level ten, that's if you havent died yet if you have reset your account and do it over again. Once you've reached level 10 without deaths sell every item you got off scavs to flea and start your monopoly. Find people who are selling items at very low prices from idiots who sell stuff like labs cards for 22k (Yes it happens its dumb I know) before you buy make big brain maths making sure if you would sell it at a higher price than you bought it for from flea boom profit ez 100mil 0 deaths, level 10 account I will do this if anyone needs proof that this is possible idk when I'll do it tho.

FUCK TARKOV! im just doing pistol run cuz everytime i go in with anything "valuable" i just die and lose big time. When i do pistol runs I get 10-15K. Tarkov sucks, its that simple. I can win fights, im just majorly unlucky ALL THE TIME! It was fun when I was able to progress, now im just not progressing. I die 100% of the time, I can't progress in the quests, I can't lvl up because I die to noob campers. I don't have the flee market so I have to grind hardcore pistols until I am able to do something about it. For money, ofc scav runs all day lol. But quests... fuck hard af... im hard stuck big time... GGZ was fun when I was able to do something. like actually survive a 10k raid (That wasn't even with good ammo or good weapon btw). The campers litterly destroyed the joy of playing.
