Tip on telling which side is the right side of paper to print on: As a general rule, if you pinch the paper with damp fingers, the correct side will stick to your finger.
Before we buy any supplies, we check on Angie's site first to get her recommendation. We thought we would trip Hiipoo sublimation paper to go with the Hiipoo sublimation ink recommended. We definitely prefer the A-Sub paper over the Hiipoo sublimation paper. The issue is when trying to trim the paper. Using the Circuit trimmer, the Hiipoo sublimation paper will "catch" and not cut a clean line. The A-Sub paper cuts well with the trimmer every time. (Note: the blade is new too). For us, we will stick with the A-Sub paper and with any of Angie's recommendations!
I too found that using the Circuit trimmer with Laser paper (using infusible ink) also catches and does not cut a clean line, as well as the printable vinyl. Yes it has a brand new blade in it so I am not sure why it only cuts regular copy paper ok. I found my cheaper Office Depot Carl brand trimmer cuts way better.
Before I buy any supplies, I check your recommendations first. :-) I really prefer when paper is marked on the back to know which side to use. Thumbs up, just ordered the Asub. Thanks Angie! :-)
I printed some test prints on my new printer using standard Georgia-Pacific printing paper. Out of curiosity, I pressed the prints on my test material. It looked the exact same as my A-sub paper print...🤷♂️🤷♂️
Thanks for the comparison. Is it just me, or does the DyeMaster paper look like its "unicorn" is more color-intense? I noticed it the printout and on the pressed shirt. Maybe that was just the video.... Did anyone else notice that? Thanks for the comparisons, Angie. Always informative.
We have an Epson WF 7110 with Cobra Inks & use Dyemaster as our go to sublimation paper. Colors are much more vibrant with deep rich blacks compared to all other major brands we have tested including Texprint especially on mugs. Despite the paper not having a watermarked side, you can tell from the feel & color of the paper which is the correct side to print on. Dyemaster provides just the best results we have ever gotten out of any other sublimation paper at a great price.
I would like to see you now do a comparison using specialty sub paper, like A-sub, and compare it against using regular copy paper and laser paper. I've seen others use regular copy paper and it seemed to work just as well as A-sub and is way cheaper than any of those papers used here. Thanks!!
I’m glad that I found your videos, I’m certainly not educated about cricut explore air 2 or the Siser press. My cricut only came with a mat nothing else therefore I’m lost 😞
Can you use a low GSM for printing, there are so many different ones. Some say lower the GSM the more vibrant the colours. Do you have any advice please for mugs and tshirts thank you from the UK 😁
Thanks for this video Angie! ASub comes in 125g and 120g. I see you are using the 125g. Do you know the difference? I know 120g is thinner but curious why there are two different weights.
I could probably use a lower weight but I don't do enough sublimation printing to keep all of the weights. The difference is going to be in how color saturated your image is, the humidity at the time, and how fast your printer prints. I am finding I can use the 125 all of the time and not have issues. Which works for me. The lighter weight is probably less money as well. So, if you have prints that are not as color saturated, trying a lighter weight is not a bad idea.

So I have a Epson 2850 put in my sub ink and used sub a paper and printed my image, went to press a poly tote and the image did not stick :( what am I doing wrong????
The only thing it could be is that you do not have sublimation ink. Check to see if the bottles say sublimation. Was there other ink in your printer before you added sublimation? It may not be all the way out.
Great video thanks for the info. Which one feels the softest after being pressed.? I ordered the siser brand paper and it’s very stiff but washes well. The other brand I tried ppd is awful. After washing the shirt the image wrinkles.
I think you are talking about two different things. This is sublimation paper and only the ink transfers to your shirt. Siser the actual material goes on your shirt. This paper is for sublimation ink only.
please help..... I have the A Sub paper and an epsom ET 2720.... but when I put in presentation matte paper..... the printer says paper doesn’t match setting..... i’m so lost.... can you help me
Can you provide the info on the Heat Press you are using in this tutorial? Brand, Name, etc. I am interested in buying this heat press. Thanks for the wonderful tutorial.
Here is a brief explanatino: A-Sub 105g - best for designs that have light to medium ink saturation. A-Sub 120g - best for medium to slightly heavy-saturated ink designs A-Sub 125g - best for when you print designs that have very heavy ink saturation. I tend to have both 120 and 125 here on hand.

Hi I did the sublimation with printers jack light color on a Purple tshirt and it came out very light kinda fried I'm using 50 cotton and 50 polyester what can I do

Sublimation paper will not work in an inkjet printer that has regular ink installed. You need sublimation ink.

You don't wash the paper. You wash the ink that has been transferred to the shirt. The ink was the exact same in all three trials.
Lol that's funny
