I honestly don't think they care about whether we are aware of their criminal behaviour (or even the extent of it). I feel like lately there has been an escalated level of violence and intimidation as a strategy used to frighten people into being "obedient".
I remember wanting to be an investigative journalist during my matric year. I wanted to be known for unearthing the truth. My family LITERALLY begged me not to pursue it and luckily other forms of media bit the bug. Main reason was it was not a safe career because of how our country was structured. I have no regrets.
What sickens me that there are individuals with the higher education and knowledge in law, having to answer to gangster in this country who want to bend the rule of law for there own sick agenda
