After these episodes, having learnt that the mafia is bigger than the gvt, it's is not easy for Zimbos to vote out the mafia. The exposé shows the mafia, controls the army, judiciary, economy, society and above all determine what the citizens will be. Walking on their heads and feasting on their backs. It takes Unity for every concerned citizen to take the role, it onus to make a change. The same reason why NC is not saying much because he knows it's not an individual battle. Everything in Zim is gone. Zimbabwe it's time believe in ourselves we can free ourselves now or we can suffer forever. What is there for the coming generation if we don't standup. It has nothing to do with opposition, but every Zimbabwean.
Its pains me to compare Dubai and Zimbabwe where gold is destined and where its being looted from !! The difference is unimaginable !! I can't imagine that all these transactions are done for personal interests and the country is not benefitting at all . Africa is rundown because leaders focuses more on their personal interests than national interests !!!
And that when the Zim gold arrives in Dubai is rebranded as Dubai gold. Although they justify why they do this, it speaks volumes to the extraction of African resources in general.
I had let go of the pain to watch this documentary. However, there is something about this episode that made my heart cry. Maybe it's the first lady caught with her hand in the cookie jar meanwhile she goes around showing false empathy to the victims of their schemes.

Well done Al Jazeera for exposing corruption in Africa. This was truly an eye opening documentary on the reality of the laundering we merely hear of being done by African governments. I am pretty sure what we have witnessed is standard practice all around east, west, central and southern Africa in particular.
South Africa is also a disgrace high degree of corruption: : these corruption should be highly investigated and further management and solutions to occur:to uphold the standards of living of people

Please note that the Zimbabweans have suffered through international dealers and their suffering is coming to an end. South Africans are also suffering as well as other poor Africans. Diamonds and gold and ivory have been stolen the same way. Even in apartheid South Africa, diamonds were stolen, It is a compound problem regarding Africans and their resources and the greed the outside world has for the African resources,
Sad that most of my fellow Zimbabweans in the streets don't have access to Internet, they have no idea what's really going on, emotionally touched when government cut off all journalists that tries to work on this information 😢
I am Afrcan and I have a few things to point out: The first is, we appreciate Aljazeera for bringing this to light. individual journalists concerned have our never ending thanks. Second, I want us Africans, especiallly Zims, to be objective. Do not use any biases when Xraying this issue. Corruption pays only a few in Africa - Yes! The guys caught in this expose placed themselves in a compromising position - Yes! Is this a clear case of greed? - Yes! The thing is, what interests does this expose serve? How has deaing with others who claim to be better, served Africans or Zims? Who is the authority on where a sovereign nation should sell it's resources and what personalities they deal with, especially taking into account sanctions? Internatoal politics and diplomacy is an interesting game. How and when Africa and or any nation therein, decides to play, is the prerogative of Africa or said nation. We appreciate this as it xrays the areas where checks and balances are needed, but we encourage everyone to be open minded and have/hold their opinions. This is the only way Africa/zim will move forward.
You are insinuating that somehow these dirty dealings are alright considering that Zim has sanctions and it is good to shun the western countries. Well you are not alone. The reserve bank indicated that they are not restricted to trade internationally, secondly you have no idea how Zim people are suffering in all aspects at the mercy of a few who are benefitting from such corruption. Have you observed the colour of the people who are benefitting? You have no idea what corruption can do to a country? National business being handled by tricksters? Criminal money being moved by the highest office against international regulation come on. Everything is down to the ground in Zim the sick are running to Zambia for treatment. Just last week a woman was pleading with immigration authority saying I am to trying and survive, back home I will die. The dream of a young Zim today is to finish school and come to Europe and never look back, while some of us are yearning to go and live our lives back home, who will build this once mighty country? I see many with your school of thought trying to be sensational and riding a misguided pan Africanism on this matter, you forget that people are suffering it is human lives at stake. What sovereignty is here when it is white foreigners benefitting from the national resources while the masses remain poor. Stop it, we need the rule of law in great Zim, today the fish is rotten from the head going down, it needs to be thrown away. This revelation is here to help every Zimbabwean to fight and get their lovely country back, what ever it takes
Someone was not given a cut and they are mad... But we are mad too now😅😅while they want a stake on it, they have taken everything from us... We see them both!!

Extremely good (and brave) journalism 👏👏👏 I think what the programme does do (and does it extremely well) is to actually join the dots between “suspicions” and irrefutable “facts”: bank statements, fake invoices etc. all neatly corroborating the allegations that came out of the interviews. All too often, exposés of this nature are based too much on hearsay. The balance here was both professional and hard hitting. I echo the deep sadness expressed by many here. Africa and its people deserve so much more from not just its own leaders, but also from the international community and especially the banks (without whom NONE of this would ever be possible). It is no surprise whatsoever that HSBC remain up to their eyeballs in such criminal activity. In my view, HSBC remain the indisputable and unchallenged global facilitator of criminal misconduct of all time. They are more powerful than governments and any law enforcement authority and act with shameless impunity. Too big to fail and too big to jail.
This 4 part series from Al jazeera is one of the best they have made to date. Also it was thanks to the stupidity and abundance of criminal evidence by the Zimbabweans esp those implicated.
Its amazing how the generalization of Zim as a whole is used here and then those implicated, and the word abundance of criminal evidence.... may the cool winds of buda blow a cold breeze up your skirt.
@@DiamondQuality1 Im from the DRC and believe it or not the corruption in Zim is meaningless compare to Congo’s. But as you said this is an Africa issue as this Network of criminals operates throughout the whole continent involving all sort of individuals from shameless locals to foreigners. I hope that now that people understand why Africa is struggling to take off that the population will one day rise up and take the matter in their own hands.
What exactly did you want them to do? I guess in your eyes if white daddy tells Zimbabwe you're country is under sanction, you think the good and moral thing to do is to please your white daddy and have no source of income for your country. STUPID. You let these bazungu tell you what to do meanwhile the stuff they did in order to enrich their nations (slavery, selling drugs to the Chinese, colonizing whole CONTINENTS, plundering TRILLIONS of dollars from countries around the world).. well, that's OK for white daddy to do... but if Zimbabwe takes back its stolen land, then it needs to be sanctioned and just do whatever white daddy says.
We need more people in this world like Daud Khan! God protect him and his family and may judgement eventually come on all the criminals in this film and in the governments in all the African states.
This is very painful to find out about Zimbabwe's version of State capture, but what's more painful is how nothing may come out of all this-no investigation, no arrests. In a week it will be business as usual!
Eish, those tears in the very last shot are telling. Is this a prime example of an irredeemable life? I feel for him. His conscience called to him and he listened. Let's hope God hears his cries and acknowledges his tears. He risked everything to tell the truth.

Zimbabweans are good people I Love them because they can take anything that the Government is doing, can you believe that until now they haven't done anything not even a March to parliament... They say they are waiting for elections. Can they trust the electoral committee in the first place
It's not about being good, we really don't have a choice. No one is willing to die going against powerful people. It's just wise to find ways to make money and live a good life without meddling into politics
Zimbos are afraid to die ,the military shot protesters on live International television and moved door to door of all known opposition supporters beating up people, and all they get are sanctions and they just affect the citizens the gold mafia never taste poverty. They aren't afraid to kill more people thats the scary thing
Lol same people who killwd 20k people and noone did anything about it. Same people who ordered protested to get shot and die on camera in the streets. Let us be.
Thank you Al Jazeera for your documentary it is now up to us Zimbabweans to act my people it's not sanctions but it's selfishness by few individuals. The people shall govern one day and the hand of the law will catch up with the individuals involved.
This goes down in history as the best international journalism work ever. Only Al Jazeera's "FISHROT" documentary of 2018, that got 2 Namibian ministers in jail comes close. These things can only be solved by an empowered African Union (AU). Right now, the AU does not have any power to align its member states, its just an idea sharing platform. We need all 54 national Parliaments to establish a continental house, that make harmonizing laws for the entire continent. These laws will cover everything, except state security, central government, and executive powers. They must however decide on source of personal wealth, movement of money, informal use of state institutions, and conduct of national elections.
Explains why Cyril and ED are good friends, in Shona we say vanozivana, it means They know each other... And finally, Boss Scott. The man who brought Rick Ross to Zimbabwe obviously using stolen gold money. I was surprised he didn't come up in episode 1.
I also thought Scott wl be featured bcz he is in too deep then of course they didnt go deeper into those thrown off the wagon by accidents or doctored with the famous tea's and drinks that are laced with poisons so that they dnt utter a word,if they dig deeper mmmh ma1

If the US didn't sanction Zim we wouldn't have this. The sanction just make Zimbabweans suffer not there leaders
Having nothing is sometimes better just say Alhamdulillah and keep your head up
Hats off to Al Jazeera for the great work they did,you are highly appreciated
When he said, "Do not invest in a Black Guy". I felt that
That was a very derogatory statement, most painful they are far much richer thn Africans

GOD BLESS ALJAZEERA. JESUS BLESS ALJAZEERA. GOD BLESS QATAR. For the 1st time in my life I'm in love of an Arab TV channel. I now love everything from Qatar. Whaoooooo! Albarika for you Aljazeera. Africa will be good one day.
Maybe it's the first lady caught with her hand in the cookie jar meanwhile she goes around showing false empathy to the victims of their schemes.
shoutout to the people who risked their lives to let the truth out💯
Truly we must appreciate them

I've never understood how money laundering works but now I do. May God protect our journalists because this work of ours is either you walk out dead or alive. No other way.
They managed to uncover what professional financial investigators could not.
This was unbelievably well done. I have a lot of respect for Al Jazeera for the investigation and the quality of production. Keep up the good work!
The sad part is after this, a half of zimbabwean citizens will still be defending Papa Angel and the First Family
That's the sad part
Not really half, only the beneficiaries of the system...which is a tiny minority.
Just imagine wats wrong with us people
When he said "Whatever you do, don't invest with a black guy".... that statement gave me chills
They fake smile to a black unwise president to use him
Imagine 😢
But see how black men open doors for them...
But in all honesty the most corrupt are the indians and whites in this whole thing. 🤷
It did irk me too
I watch, rewatchec and now I'm watching again. Kudos to a magnificent piece of extra ordinary journalism
1.05:18 broke my heart. He said, "I'm the least person anyone would suspect to do this kind of stuff......That's why I can be used in doing that".

What a documentary, one of their best so far.

Great work by Aljazeera.
May God protect Mo Dollar's brother for exposing these mafias🙏🙏🙏
The biggest problem we've in 🇿🇼is that when you speak against corruption you will be labeled a sellout
Or a racist
Or killed , these people are heartless
Only the elite are the only bottom feeders and if you speak out as citizen your a sellout...shame on us who turn the blind eye 👁 💯 Ubert Angel God bless you too 🙏
@Alma Boucher like how this documentary was branded shameless
Say that again LOL. I went through the phases anger in stating the obvious now i couldn't careless.
Well done Al Jazeera for exposing corruption in Africa. This was truly an eye opening documentary on the reality of the laundering we merely hear of being done by African governments. I am pretty sure what we have witnessed is standard practice all around east, west, central and southern Africa in particular.
This is one of the best documentaries I have ever watched. Outstanding work by Aljazeera IU. Dawood Khan is a very courageous man, be safe❤️🙏
Rotten to the core..RIP Gen Tongo, Joshua Nkomo, Lookout Masuku,Dumiso Dabengwa.May your revolutionary spirit continue to strengthen Job Sikhala.
South Africa is also a disgrace high degree of corruption: : these corruption should be highly investigated and further management and solutions to occur:to uphold the standards of living of people
Eina neh.... Well done and well done to all the extremely brave and courageous individuals who had a hand in the making of this documentary. Some earlier comments I saw said you guys deserve an award, and I agree with that, but even in a time and age where honesty beings you scorn and is frowned upon, I hope you are rewarded by what comes from exposing the rotten apples in our society.

Thank you for a truly fascinating series. I want to say I'm shocked but sadly the older I get the more I realise we live in a revolting, dark and corrupt world.
Sad thing with us Africans is that we will watch this, get infuriated but forget about it by lunch time and no real action will be taken
We don't forget about it buh I believe we would like to know and understand why we are given this information about Afrikans countries, this channel don't show us what's happening in their country where black people are subjected to abuse, humiliation, and ect by their people,so why this decomentary, are they not tryin to get us fight?

My heart bleeds for Dawood. Imagine the sacrifice and the courage it takes to come clean.
he went against his family what's the catch... immunity?
I doubt he willingly put himself in this position, nothing about his actions is noble...he is getting immunity, a new life possibly with the money he made.
Lol that man ate for years. Now he didn't get enough and decided to snitch on family. That man might be the worst of them all
The devastation would be felt down the generations in Zimbabwe and the rest of Africa. This is really sad.
They are well informed
Lol Zimbabweans are these that don’t have internet 🤦🏽♂️
It’s all part of the big scheme of things, life time oppression, subjugation .
Don’t underestimate Zimbabweans in that manner.

Now this is real journalism Aljazeera are just the best there is. Kudos
Thank you for this comment! This exposé clearly has an agenda and is serving specific interests. While revealing hard truths in the process.
Someone was not given a cut and they are mad... But we are mad too now😅😅while they want a stake on it, they have taken everything from us... We see them both!!
Oh not the pathetic sanctions excuse again 🙄. Did Japan put sanctions? Did China put sanctions? Did Russia put sanctions?
This is happening all over the list is long gold in Sudan, Congo's numerous minerals, diamonds in sierrleoane, Mozambique wood , timber in central Africa and Congo, fish stocks off the coast, wrgner mercenaries in CAR. The most is endless, at least 100 billion USD is stolen by cartels and that just the tip 100 billion per year.
ED and his family need to step down 🙌🙌🙌

Zimbabweans Mark the register here 👋
Extremely good (and brave) journalism 👏👏👏 I think what the programme does do (and does it extremely well) is to actually join the dots between “suspicions” and irrefutable “facts”: bank statements, fake invoices etc. all neatly corroborating the allegations that came out of the interviews.
Follow the story well and your understanding will be different here.

In Zimbabwe everything is politicized, and then they use the army. People die like locusts but nothing is done for justice to prevail
It's not about being good, we really don't have a choice. No one is willing to die going against powerful people.
It's just wise to find ways to make money and live a good life without meddling into politics
