In terms of "flexing", yes, the normies are gonna see what you got when you show up on a Ducati or BMW, just based on the logo on the tank. But let's face it, you don't buy this fireblade to flex on normies. You do it to show up at a bike night, or track day and have all the fastbois in the know to know EXACTLY what you got. Mission accomplished Honda, mission accomplished indeed.

I like how you put it that way. Honestly, some people would choose a European bike over a japanese bike because of the badge (brand name) like BMW, Ducati, MV Agusta and Aprilia. But most of them don't realise that you can purchase a bike with the same performance for less on their japanese counter parts.
(Well, obviously the new fireblade does cost though). But Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha and Suzuki super bikes always put me at awe.

I have a 1983 V45 honda interceptor I rode from Va to NM and back in 30 days, she ran flawlessly, but at the time it was first production cafe style bike, people love to look at it, but now they all look the same, I have that bike still with 90,000 miles still love it, but own 5 bikes, and have a 1986 V65 Magna which I love for cruising 75mph on highway, sweet ride, but VMax, then you get on that bike and realize how fast it goes, and really makes you smile like your crazy, but the power is there to scare the crap out of you, been 165 mph, I realized that I loved riding and didn't need to prove anything to anyone, since that love each ride and live to ride for fun.....best time had.

I personally love the super sport ergos when riding, even on the street. Stop n go traffic maybe not so much but when you want to ride you want to be getting out of town, unless you have a debilitating need for attention. I find those mixed sporty/upright ergos is what puts pressure on my wrist and triceps whereas a tuck feels so much more comfortable and upright riding i feel is sooo boring. Also when you do tuck on a standard upright ergo it puts so much pressure on your neck and middle back.

Hello there! I find your comment on this topic very interesting and I agree with you totally. I did my training on the driving school’s bike, which was a naked CB650r, found it quite boring due to the very relaxed upright sitting. Got my license last year and bought an old 1998 Kawasaki GPZ 500 S as my first bike, which is an old sport-tourer, less relaxed position than a naked bike, but still too boringly upright. A couple of months ago I got me a brand new 2023 CBR 650r, it is “kinda” sporty but has an element of upright to it. Now I have my eyeballs on the Fireblade (but I can’t afford it for now), but ironically like you said I feel like the sportier and aggressive a bike is, the more comfortable I feel on it, even when riding around town. If you’re still reading until here, do you have experience going from a cbr650r to a fireblade SP and mind sharing how that would feel?

Honda is probably the best engine makers, from the engine of my lawnmower to Max Verstappen's formula one engine and everything in between.

Being a rider that's only ever made the 325cc-600cc (50hp-115hp) jump, is appalls me to imagine the jump from something like my sad, gutless R6, to the likes of literally any 1000cc modern superbikes.
Straight up YEET myself into the next dimension.
