In terms of "flexing", yes, the normies are gonna see what you got when you show up on a Ducati or BMW, just based on the logo on the tank. But let's face it, you don't buy this fireblade to flex on normies. You do it to show up at a bike night, or track day and have all the fastbois in the know to know EXACTLY what you got. Mission accomplished Honda, mission accomplished indeed.
It's a funny thing about motorcycles though I've got the cash to buy one, but I seriously lack the skill to make use of 90% of this bike. I feel like if you show up with something like this you better have some skills to go with it.
I like how you put it that way. Honestly, some people would choose a European bike over a japanese bike because of the badge (brand name) like BMW, Ducati, MV Agusta and Aprilia. But most of them don't realise that you can purchase a bike with the same performance for less on their japanese counter parts. (Well, obviously the new fireblade does cost though). But Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha and Suzuki super bikes always put me at awe.
I mean it was accurate in 2020. CBRs have always been a "good" bike, but haven't kept up with the competition on raw power and electronics. I guess they realized they have enough other bikes that are good for commutes, they could make the SPORTbike good for a track... ...and I just got to the part of the video where he says the same thing about them being a "good" bike.
Yammie spends too much timing playing with Honda 500s and 300s. He hadn't been riding CBRs or CRFs or VFRs. Honda makes great bikes and they make sport bikes that are great for the street. Fireblade, Hurricane, Africa Twin, Goldwing, Cubs, and the Rebel. There is a reason Honda is #1
I have a 1983 V45 honda interceptor I rode from Va to NM and back in 30 days, she ran flawlessly, but at the time it was first production cafe style bike, people love to look at it, but now they all look the same, I have that bike still with 90,000 miles still love it, but own 5 bikes, and have a 1986 V65 Magna which I love for cruising 75mph on highway, sweet ride, but VMax, then you get on that bike and realize how fast it goes, and really makes you smile like your crazy, but the power is there to scare the crap out of you, been 165 mph, I realized that I loved riding and didn't need to prove anything to anyone, since that love each ride and live to ride for fun.....best time had.
