I'm really enjoying all of your FOLK Piano series. Every piece is captivating
Great to hear from you, Michael! There are two more to come (this Friday and next) - hope you'll enjoy those too!
(Anyone reading this should check out Michael's music - it's beautiful!)
That was beautiful and over too soon. I must listen again!
Hi Luke! How are you ? Miss you at the premiere 🥲
It's a real pleasure to listen to such delicate music before starting the weekend ☺😍
Sounds as sweet as a lullaby to me 🤗💛💆♀thank you for this moment of tenderness and lightness 💕
Hope you have a lovely weekend ! 😽😘
I was cycling home and arrived 4 minutes late for my own premiere!😭Nonetheless, there will be more this Friday and next so hopefully see you there, Manon!
Haha , stories about Luke and his bike! 😅😘
You can count on me - barring any unforeseen circumstances - I'll be there with pleasure! 😊😉🤗🎶🎹🎉
Be there on Friday too, eh! I've got an idea: no bike next Friday 😆🤣🤪
Thank you. Such a blessing to retune to simplicity, grace and hope for the next generation. A true gift.
Sound like the peace that you have when you are with your family , i realy liked, i did not know this one
It's very much that sort of piece. I was introduced to it by my mother when I was a child - one of the first pieces I learned on the piano, come to think of it.
@@LukeFaulkner she must be really proud of you and I think she can be proud of herself too because she probably introduced you to the universe with which you are in love today.
It was fun to download the sheet music from the website to read along with the RUclips premiere. A new world!!! Familiar tune, new interpretation, read along with the sheet music downloaded!!!! Thank you Luke Faulkner for adding joy all the way to Texas!!!
You were the first person to purchase a copy - and I really appreciate the recent donation! Thank you so much, dear Diane!!
I love the way this arrangement is simple in its complexity. That's the best way I can think to describe it. Yes, the harmonies are more complex than they are in any arrangements I've come across before. Yes, there's additional rhythmic texture added. But still, a sense of simplicity shines through, which I suspect has largely to do with your playing-- specifically your ability to bring out the melody and balance all the elements.
In summary: beautiful, and I look forward to listening to it many more times!
Thank you so much, dear Abigail! I think I've played this piece for 25 years now (it was one of the first pieces I ever learned) so it may have gained a few layers/additions over this time, haha.
Thank you from N. Idaho
Dear Luke, I'm afraid I've had a temporal glitch in my simulated universe, 😂 Caught a bad cold that is rapidly morphing into a boring bigger than Ben Hur production. So I won't be able to wake myself at 2am for your premiere. However I've done the next best thing. I found your audio recording and listened to it. Luke, it's beautiful as with everything that you do. Love the melody and its child like quality. It's brimming with nostalgia. Also came across the original lyrics (I think) , "Dawn yonder green valley, where streamlets meander..." You say it all and so much more in your version. Have a great premiere and online chat with everyone else! Warmest Wishes, Ros 🤒🌡😘
Aww Ros, I'm so sorry to hear you're ill 😔 I hope it's nothing other than just a little virus!
I hope you get well soon! 💫🍀🌟
See you soon on another Luke outing! 🤗
Take care of yourself 😘😘😘
@@manonstefanik1790 thank you so much for kind message dear Manon. 😘💝
🥰@@RosCharron
Get well soon Ros 🤗😁
Oh no - please don't worry, Ros! I missed the premiere myself by only a few minutes... I hope you feel better soon!
Прекрасный Люк Фолкнер с прекрасной музыкой. Спасибо!
Спасибо! Мне всегда приятно читать ваши добрые сообщения.
Dear Luke, calm melodious soothing a pleasure to listen to this lovely piece.
Beautiful composition.
Congratulations Luke ! 👏🏻
Aww - thank you, MM!
So welsh arranged.
I had that "I want more" feeling when it ended, I could listen to that all day... Thanks for making our Friday better, Luke. I wish you a great weekend! :)
That's really kind - thank you, Nick! Hope you're well and had a great weekend!
This song brings back memories I never had. Nevertheless, the way you play it, the emotions it captures are truly brilliant. This video should go viral.👏👏
Thank you for your kind words!
I keep missing the premieres 😩 but I have a nice cosy fire and listening to this piece after a long day at work 😊 Thank you again, Luke!
That sounds very civilised, Abi! Hope work is going well!
@@LukeFaulkner Had a productive week, so that's great, thanks! 😁 Hope your work continues to go well ☺️
This is one of my favorite songs. I love it so much. I used to sing a song with this tune in my aunt Debbie's church. It got stuck in my head, so I hummed it in school. My teacher asked me why I was humming Ash Grove. I told her that I was singing a song with that tune in church and she said, "Ash Grove is my favorite song."
That's wonderful to read, Hannah! It's certainly a very hummable melody - I probably do the same from time to time.
Beautiful keep up the hard work 👌
its beauty🌿
A beautiful Celtic ( Welsh ) tune . It flows like a river.
It certainly does!
Beautiful
my grandad who is from england made up words to this. they were very silly words to make myself and my sisters laugh. so listening to this brought back some happy memories. Thanks.
That's a charming anecdote, Laura!
There’s a youthful innocence that I’m experiencing, simply beautiful 🎶🎶🎶
It could have been much longer!
I completely agree - it certainly has that quality. I'll have to write a longer version someday :)
@@LukeFaulkner Please do! The music kept playing but then I realized you’d stopped.
Thanks!
Aww - thank you so much, dear Diane! Apologies for the delay in replying.
