Z-6 rotary cannon is so deadly, clones can't even use it without dying themselves.
Technically you could argue that the clones were outfitted with the blasters so that during order 66 the clones could kill Jedi easily and screw with a lightsaber deflection

@@JohnGeorgeBauerBuis they would be more optimal you’re right but against droids they wouldn’t be and the Jedi might get suspicious of clones carrying them due to the fact the enemy is metal. That was probably something you thought of so sorry I didn’t mean to come off rude if I did.
I've long thought that the Clones' ion blasters were specifically made so that battle droids couldn't be salvaged. The fact is, B1s were made to fall apart so that they could be put back together more easily, but I've speculated that a good shot from an ion blaster would fry a droid's whole system, making it useless except as scrap metal. It would additionally prevent instances where parts of the droid were still active, like in the Phantom Menace you can at one point see the lower half of a battle droid still trying to walk after a lightsaber has cut it in half. I could be completely wrong, but I think it's a fun thought.
Last one about the droid continuing to walk could just be the momentum from before it was cut down

The logic is sound
I mean you’re certainly onto something there, droids hit by blasters tend to stay down but we see many survive lightsaber cuts or other such damage. Even in a recent bad batch episode the droids are disassembled and still moving which means they’re harder to kill than to dismantle yet we never see them get back up after going down
There was a downed droid that almost shot Fives. Unsure if it was hit by blaster or saber, but this was in Tup's chip malfunctioning

Anyone else wish the DC-15A was portrayed more as the assault weapon for battlefront 2 rather than the heavy weapon, like I wish the DC-15A was in the place of the EL-16
As a Rifleman I am sad that the dc-15a it's not a rifle in that game which is retarded
I wished the clone heavy would pull out different types of blasters appropriate for the different heavy blaster star cards like pull out the quad blaster when using the explosive shot card. It'll just be an aesthetic change but would give some variety to the different star cards.
But they suit their roles. DC-15A serve way better as a LMG rather than as an assault rifle, even less as carbine. In fact, the DC-15A out of universe is a modified WWII german MG-34.
@@condeaarondarkusexcubitor3155 in the game you have the dc15c which is modified dc15a with a faster fire rate as it used the dc15 carbine fire mecanisum. the dc15a is more a dmr than a lmg where as teh c is more lmg than dmr

@@tomasvargas4268 no doubt about that, they were like russians pumping out T-34s or america pumping out shermans.
Technically yes the clones were outnumbered, but they also had a huge amount of space wizards at the start of the war and after losing a good amount of them in the first battle they adapted after and were much better afterwards. The droids would definitely have won if not for jedi, that’s why sidious had the separatists throw everything at the republic and that’s why the separatists were made up of alien looking beings, the goal was so there wouldn’t be anything for a rebellion afterwards.
@@tyleryoung9150 i do think the Jedi played a big role for the republic victory but not as big, specially because the separatist built droids to fight against Jedis (for example magna guards) in my opinion what ended the war with the republic winning was sidious, otherwise I think it would’ve been a war that went trough decades and would’ve finished until either the Republic or the Separatists were so broke they couldn’t even afford one more troop.

Makes sense for the weapons to be so overwhelming given the numbers disadvantage. Clones have to make kills every second just to avoid being overwhelmed.

Unfortunately right after the Clone Wars ended, all these weapons were immediately recalled and then scraped by the Empire.
@Gaius Wyrden In Legends, the Empire kept the Clone Army for 2 reasons: there were still the Separatist Holdouts & Jedi survivors to deal with.
It was only some time after the Reconquest Of The Rim, that the Empire could FINALLY make as standard issue, the armor & guns that they were well known for in the Original Trilogy... (E-10, 10R, E-11, 11d, E-22, SE-14 family, RK-3, EC-17, DLT-19, 19d, T-21, RT-97C, DLT-20A, DLT-19X & T-21B being the notable examples.)
It would make more sense for them to maintain the weapons, or recycle them to make quantitative more for numbers against organic targets.
I thought they would have all been retrofitted to meet new standards, which would have been a cheaper weapon that didn't require anti-droid ionization etc.

The empire could've left these weapons honestly. Theirs were generally worse, literally the e-11 was stated to be powerful, yeah, but inaccurate as whole hell and had much lesser range than even its counterpart the DC15s

I’d alway prefer DC-15A in long range engagements or Z-6 in suppression fire over any other weapons, and that’s saying something from someone who roleplays as an 501st ARC Medic Lieutenant. Anyway great work, I always love seeing work of my favorite faction in Star Wars

Mg42 a weapon from 1942 has a rate of fire of around 1200 rounds per minute
I’d say most modern mini guns shoot a lot faster than that

The DC-15A and DC-17M are my MOST favorite Blaster rifles.

I have a question for Geetsly, or anyone else who is fluent in SW lore. I haven’t seen it from my own lore dives, but was it common for the Clone Army (or even the CIS for that matter) to send cleanup crews after battles? The debris left from battles (weapons, broken droids, KIA Clones) wasn’t cheap on either side, so was it ever documented who was in charge of cleaning up the messes, and how each side treated the leftovers?
Not sure about the republic but I know CIS did do that with their droids.
The CIS probably shot clones left on the battlefield, the Republic mostly likely capture or destroy leftover droids.

Try taking a look at the A180 and A280-CFE. Pistol, assault rifle, sniper rifle, carbine, ion disruptor, and maybe more, all in a single package.
The DL-44 also had a rifle config, but that was it AFAIK...

Every long weapon that is used by the clones are based in mg3/mg42 "hitler's buzzsaw" they should have based the rpm of the weapon to the mg's.
Side note: Dengar’s weapon is the Valken-38 (an MG42 without the bipod).

The weapon of choice for me would be the DC-17 Interchangeable Weapon System with it's blaster, sniper and anti-armor attachments. I could deal with most threats save for heavily armored tanks.
I think the clone weapons being overpowered makes a lot of sense. These weapons were meant to for the user to be capable of putting down anything he may run into.

I like the DC15A the first time I saw it was the episode 2 amd the arena scene where the clone blasts a droideka in half while covering the Jedi’s exit is like yeah I want one. The thing is so cool to see how their range and honestly if the Jedi understood how powerful the battle of Christopis would’ve gone better hell rooftop snipers throughout the city and calling out targets for artillery and I bet you more than once a few clones could’ve domed the general.
The DC-15S is just the right blend of versatility and stoping power for me
I feel like you glossed over the apparent suppression role of the Z6 rotary. Sure, it's short range "spray and pray" fare in any normal hands, but in the hands of a clone trooper, I can only imagine how the CIS struggled to counter it in the B1 programming.
The DC-15A can leave a 0.5 meter crater in a Ferrocrete Wall, not just concrete. It’s basically concrete with some iron molecularly bonded to the concrete. Either way though, Blasters roughly shoot blaster bolts a couple times more powerful than lightning strikes per bolt.

The Grand Army of the Republic’s had a massive advantage compared to the Confederacy for two reason, one they knew their enemy, and two is that they had variations of weapons. It is a fact that a military that has several different weapons will perform better, and you could see that the Confederacy Droid Army had a single weapon design. The Clones were better train and better armed than Army that the Galactic Republic’s ever created, and in truth the Confederacy Droid Army was worthless in the long run of the war.
The E5 rifle was only used by B1s and Commando Droids, B2s and Droidekas used a different type of blaster
Actually, they were massively outnumbered and if it wasn’t for the meddling of Sidious, there was a good chance that the clones could have lost and the separatists gaining their independence, forcing a ceasefire. The CIS army was a lot more than just droids, more often than not, it is normal people fighting in many different civil wars that were either pro republic or pro separatist.
But the roles where reversed for their Navies on the other hand lol.
Outright wrong. Yes a clone could kill 10 droids and yes they sometimes knew they were coming but there were only millions of clones and quadrillions of droids were being made every second.
What truly made the Republic win was Palpatine, Obi-Wan & Anakin. Sidious controlled the whole war, while the Jedi duo not only had by far the biggest killstreak but were praised as heroes and significantly affected the morale of the GAR, which was awfully close to breaking apart completely.

You should add the side arm of the commandos it was the blaster that only had 7 shots but it made it one Amo. The conmandos said that it felt like it never ran out of amo because it made its one amo
I’ve always loved the aesthetics of the dc-15a. It looks amazing not to mention it packs a punch. Most battles of the Clone Wars were medium to long range and had clones mostly positioned in stationary positions. Because of this, I don’t think there is a need for a more compact carbine that excels in short range. Just give me a good rifle.

In IRL you can't really directly hit a target past ~5km due to the curvature of the earth, not to mention at 1.6+km it's possible the rotational speed of the earth would also effect where your target is when the projectile lands.
You'd probably also not want to eat sugary foods :)
Love to think how insane it would be for someone to hit something 10km away just with a tripod though.

The dark threat that was for seen was the empire (new canon, potentially the yuzhan-vhong in legends but that's unconfirmed) which makes it the largest scale form of dramatic irony that the greatest army to fight the greatest darkness was mindcontroled by one man to be the darkness that brought the galaxy to it's knees (than again the empire lasted like 20 years so who knows)

One things always bugged the hell out of me about the carbine rifles, and that’s the fact that the collapsible stock, is jointed in front of the trigger group, so even if it’s slotted, to fit around the trigger group, it’s barely long enough to clear the rest of the weapon, so the butt will be literally an inch or two from the back of the carbine itself anyways. 🤪
Okay, one other issue, although it’s a specific weapon, and actually one you showed here, the quad blaster makes me shake my head every time I see it, just watched the 2D Clone Wars last night, and it make me think that someone’s 5 or 6 year old son wanted to design a blaster for Star Wars!
