Absolutely love this game. I think the ruleset is really interesting and a good blend of narrative-focus and crunchiness, and the loremaster section of the core rulebook is outstanding and gives a good format for running other games as well. Plus, the book quality is incredible--the art, font, and formatting are all gorgeous, and the materials are top-notch. 100% my favorite paper of any book I own.
Thoroughly enjoyed this, and I'm looking forward to more in the series. I've been investing in Free League for a few years now, when I went looking for an OSR tone that also included mechanics for exploration. Even Free League's more narrative-oriented games (e.g. Vaesen) knows what it's meant to deliver at the table.
They didn't ship my replacement at my first request, but once I messaged a second times months later they shipped them super quickly. Still using the misprints though for extras
@@TheBasicExpert adds +2 to the roll as it's written I think. So for example you roll an 8 on your feat die. A 4 and a 3 on your success dice, which gives you 15. Add +2 for the close fitting and you get a 17?
I've backed off of Free League's stuff. They're getting more involved, perhaps too involved, in licensed gaming and fail to support their original games and keep material in print. Also, their newer offerings have some clear Leftist threads running through them. Dragonbane, for example, borrows a bit from 5e and it has things like describing the fighter class as emotionally damaged (mentioning that they need hugs) and implies that an elf's prejudice against goblins and orcs is a character weakness/flaw. They also have a, "Safe play" statement in the rulebook, which is especially cringeworthy.

Great video! This is my favorite TTRPG system ever created, can't wait for the Moria book later in 2024.
TOR 2e is probably my favourite non-B/X RPG (up there with Call of Cthulhu). Cannot wait for this series, great work as usual.

Great stuff. I am playing TOR but great to listen to you, and hope you will make many more videos about TOR, looking forward to it. :) Keep it up sir!
Looking forward to this, it's been on my radar for a minute but I like to look before I leap.
Excellent. I'll try not to disappoint and cover all the basics.
Outstanding. Watching it now.
Awesome
Just finally got my replacement feat dice. Took a few months
I just kept mine. I didn't bother.

TOR 2e? Let me show you my O Face.
The reward you selected: close-fitting - does that add 2d to your protection roll or 2 pips? I read it as 2 pips.
Could be 2 pips! I could have messed that up.
