Has the gear movement gotten smoother with use? Thank you for the very informative video.

I've used this geared head for over a year now for work, and have not noticed any "loosening" of the knobs, the stiffness feels the same, but usually for work you are not turning the knobs a lot, so the wear and tear is likely to be minimal.

I have this geared head, but the brand is Fotobetter.

Have used this gear head on a few commercial jobs now, very happy with it. The head is smaller and lighter than other gear heads. It's solid, knobs turn smoothly. My only comment was the dial used to adjust the quick clamp could be stiffer to stop any movement. I used locking glue to lock the dial. The quick clamp is very handy when you go from portrait to landscape mode using an L bracket.

Does it has a backlash at all? My bendro in fine but not that stable under stress.

@@pm-ec1fc Am using this gear head with GFX100s + 100-200mm, or A1+70-200. There is no creep with this weight. Do note that the quick clamp adjustment screw can loosen, but i used locking glue to solve this. I still like this head for it's 3 way geared control and it's small and light.

@@kitminlee9169 Thank you for your reply. I guess I didn't express exactly what I wanted...
Benro is fine in this regard as well, I can even but a star tracker on it (about 5 kg in total) and it words fine. The problem is that if there is a strong wind it tends to shake. I was wondering if this gear head has the same issues.

@@pm-ec1fc Hi, the gear head is solid all metal, on my product there is no movement at all. The top head plate can be tightened if needed. I should mention i only use this gear head in inside studio conditions with a leofoto tripod. Given it's small size/compactness i don't think there would be any movement, unlike the larger manfrotto gear heads with protruding elements. But I also recommend you use a heavy tripod or add additional weights to the tripod. The build quality of this Buddiesman is similar to the leofoto gear head (but that is only 2 way gear movement).

i have the Arca D4, it's heavy, the clamp mechanism is fiddly, doesn't have geared pan, and mine the rubber on the knobs have come off after 2 years of use. Also much more expensive than other brands. Yes it is a solid piece of metal, but nowadays, there are several other brands that do exactly the same thing at a much cheaper price, small form factor. I have used Leofoto gear head for 5 years for professional work and zero problems.
