That moment at 57:02 when he looked for the saber and then said " you're in luck..."
I got *SO* excited, then I saw Theory's face, and realized we all were sharing that excitement =)
I love Star Wars....
Thanks to this comment I watched the entire video anticipated the end. 😊
These interviews are great and insightful from the OG lucasfilm employee’s! Thanks Marc and Theory! Keep it up fellas!
Has Theory relocated his soul? I believe it left his body...
I saw this comment and thought, damn, i better watch this.
_Heavy Breathing_
Luke Skywalker’s original lightsaber!!!!!! Thank you Theory and Marc for all of the interviews
You guys are killing it. Every interview I think to myself "this is the best one yet" and the next one surpasses it. Please keep it up
This really was the best yet! I cannot believe they can get people this close to George, who knows what else is possible with the rule of two.
I just interviewed Dave filoni
What a wonderful conversation. I am always blown away by these talks. As a writer this stuff is so so so interesting. We are so fortunate to be able to see and listen to this stuff. Thank you so much Theory and Marc. Just amazing work you guys are doing. Roger was such an interesting person to hear from. Theory, I hope you know how much we love these. It's such a treat. Like I said, as a writer this stuff is like gold.
What an interview! Absolute pleasure! Loving the way you guys approach the interview and the moment Roger went for the original Laser Sword was absolute GOLD!! Greetings from Zurich, Switzerland and keeeeep it up guys
I always thought Mark doesn’t get enough credit for his Lightsaber skills in ESB... He got so good and so fit. I’ve seen photos where he looks like he’s so in shape and in that warrior mind..reminds me of Bruce Lee..
Yes, Hamill always strikes me as a major movie and pop culture geek. I bet he studied Errol Flynn etc. Of course, Bob Anderson stood in for David Prowse in the duel, and I suppose choreography is all about playing to the actor's strengths to make them look as good as possible, but I agree when you watch Hamill practising, he is so focused - that was all his hard work, not editing or trickery.
@keep your stupid comments in your pocket
I haven't heard that but it makes a lot of sense, just by how much effort the actors put into the training, and of course Ray already having experience.
I imagine it's like a dance partner; if you have one expert, then the novice (Ewan) can extend themselves beyond what would normally be possible for a novice.
For me, I just feel like the PT fights are where the technology allowed them to reach their limit, and the OT fights, Lucas told Luke to think of the lightsaber like a heavy sword because of the limitations of the technology. So a technical limitation became an aesthetic choice, if you see what I mean. But I enjoy all the fights from 1-6 equally.
"This is a weapon of a Jedi Knight. Not as clumsy or random as a blaster. An elegant weapon for a more civalized age" - Obi Wan Kenobi
I know that on the top of my head!
Wow what an awesome dude. I love that he speaks so genuinely about all of this. Especially not being afraid to mention how Disney didn't respect the hero's journey in the sequels. I wouldn't be surprised if Disney tries to cancel him one day
they will not do anything to him. He is a good man who had a huge impact on popcultur and created the most iconic weapon ever shown on film. He is someone who can say anything he wants without being cancelled. He is well respected and people know he is a good guy. he is an eldery too. Disney would be stupid to make a move or censor him.
@@MichaSennin They're pretty stupid though.
These guys from the older era who worked with George are just amazing storytellers and have such a wealth of knowledge. This may be the best interview yet!
This truly was a treat. What an absolutely wonderful and joyful interview. Roger seems like an excellent person, and what a career. Thank you Theory & Marc for continuing to bring these incredible interviews!!
Theory, this is the best interview so far, Mr. Christian is such a cool guy. Def bring him more often
Holy cow. Roger Christain put so much thought and effort behind all the props he made. His artistic vision is a huge part of what made Star Wars work.
57:16 After that moment, Theories mind was so blow, his face expression for the next couple of minutes would stay the same! 😮
ya, he was as spellbound as i was!
My heart dropped, when he pulled out the original light saber.
my heart skipped a beat!
Awesome interview Theory, keep it up man! Someday George himself will be on the show.
Thank the Maker!
I just interviewed Dave filoni!
@@starforce6699forget Dave Filoni. That clown was one of the worst things to happen to Star Wars.
@@zacharymccants77 you're the clown with that opinion 😂
@@jokerman9623 you’re free to like whatever garbage you want. TCW was nothing but a bunch of retcons with storytelling on par with bad fan fiction.
Hey, Theory, thanks for this, you are literally doing more for the fandom than the big mouse.
Thank you Marc and Theory. These interviews are awesome. It feels really important to hear the perspectives of those who were involved in the George Lucas movies as we are approaching a decade of Disney Star Wars.
Amazing! shattered it ended. Could have watched that for hours. Thanks all!
Theory I love that you take us back to the good old days of star wars. These interviews are what we needed. I really like seeing you and Marc so happy. Keep doing your thing
He created literally the most iconic film memorabilia in history
This was such a great interview, i could listen to this man for hours. That part about Jake Loyd really made me sad. As a small town teenage girl i was mocked for loving star wars, especially the prequels. Now im 35 and i still get laughed at. So im glad that this kind of channel exist. Keep up the good work. May the force be with you from far away Croatia. 😉
These streams have been absolutely amazing recently. Love the interviews with not only Legends but with other fans as well. One of the best channel’s on RUclips no doubt.
As a long time Star Wars fan and fan of your channel, thank you for this series of interviews!
Excellent interview! The sheer joy and enthusiasm that all three of you have for the Star Wars franchise, it's just beautiful to behold. Hearing his stories definitely brought me back to my younger years as a kid who loved the films. When the original Graflex lightsaber was brought out, all our collective jaws dropped!
That's awesome. Thanks Theory and Marc and special thanks to Mr. Christian for his time.
That's now 3 of 3 or 4 of 4 Star Wars creators that didn't like TLJ/the sequels.
why should we care whether or not they hate the sequels? Its not like it invalidates your or mine's opinion about them in any way, shape or form
@@aarushmoo7095 sshh let them live in there imagination
So true
@@aarushmoo7095 Its not that we should or shouldn't care, it is telling how the sequel trilogy ended up tarnishing the franchise for a lot of people, among the people who love it.
@@knightheaven8992 it never tarnished to me
A huge thank you to you guys! You are spending your own money to give fans great content when there isn't much going on Star Wars wise. I really hope these are getting the views they deserve! One day, I am sure of it, George is on there with you guys, in person!
This is crazy, a true legend from the behind the scenes footage of The Phantom Menace for sure
Amazing Interview Thank you Thoery Marc Roger, From Alien to Star Wars creating The OG Saber!! Prequel love Nick Gillard Ray Park Ahmed Best Poor Jake, Still in shock just seen The Real Saber
Why Ahmed Best?
@@henryyancey1117 Watch the video bud fans gave him to much Backlash for something so petty and he didn't deserve that
@@ace360 I realize he didn’t deserve what he got but who in their right mind would put Ahmed Best and Ray Park next to each other
@@henryyancey1117 I'm only going to say this once I came here to enjoy a live Interview About Making Star Wars and enjoying hearing about it, Not to consintly stuff like this I'm friend's with Ray Park he and a crazy year in 2020 like We all did! He made some mistakes and regrets it but none of us are perfect, Ahmed almost made a big mistake because fool's would not leave him alone, Have a good weekend and Good day.
This is honestly such an interesting interview! The star wars and Alien movies are some of my favorites and it has some of my favorite props.
Guys- this series is a stroke of bloody genius!! Really disney or the lucas museum should be collating all these oral histories. I am REALLY enjoying these. Wouldn’t it be amazing to have Marsha do an interview!
These interviews are mouth watering
I still get teased and bullied for liking Star Wars . . . And I'm 19😂
But I don't care, I never had and I never will! Star Wars has always been so important to me that I'll be buying LEGOs, The Black Series, and Lightsaber replicas as long as I live. I love it and I'm proud about it!
And I also have friends that are very passionate about it, and sharing our geeky stories and experiences is absolutely awesome😂
Don't feel bad at all. Hell, I'm 42 years old and I'm putting the finishing touches on the latest version of the LEGO AT-AT Imperial Walker as I write this post.
Star Wars can be enjoyed by all ages!
@@arcturionblade1077 Exactly!
Oh you also have the 2020 40th Anniversary AT-AT?? Isn't it a beauty?? All the new features and awesome Minifigures! To me, that's the best AT-AT Lego has ever made!
Awesome interview. Yeah. The backlash broke George’s heart.
This interview with Roger Christian was amazing! Never knew Roger Christian was responsible for the lightsaber’s physical appearance. One of my favorite episodes. So many good parts. I especially enjoyed Mr. Christian’s experiences with Lucas and friends. Thanks to Theory and Marc for sharing this interview with the fans!
Its amazing almost every person you guys interview from the original trilogy or prequels tell better creative ideas than all of the sequels lol
Thanks for a good interview Theory and Marc and thanks Roger! May the force be with you all
This was amazing! Best OT interview thus far. Thanks so much for this and congratulations!
Nobody has been able to get this close to behind the scenes of Star Wars films. THANK YOU MARK AND THEORIEEESSSSSS
I cannot like this enough, please keep all of this people coming. This is GOLD!
Brilliant could have listened for another hour
How cool. He was so happy taking about everything and even showed a lightsaber. He's such a genuine and amazing guy. Loved this interview so much and can't wait to hear more from him. Awsome interviews theory, cant wait to see more. I feel like your getting closer and closer to George Lucas.
Hopefully that day will come!
What an interesting conversation. Roger is such a positive person. Bought the book off the bat. I'm an OT fan...because I'm old, but I loved The Phantom Menace when it came out. Jar Jar was fun for children and thought Jake Lloyd did a beautiful job. TPM was epic.
I could listen to him for hours ...amazing interview.
So much good vibes.
This is one of the coolest Star Wars interviews of all time. The force is strong with this one!
by far the best sw content out here, huge thank you and much love for all of you!
Seeing that Graflex gave me chills!! What wonderful stories!
I'm gonna buy this book! This video deserves to have 10 million views
6:18 Star Wars
8:07 Luke
11:39 Obi
26:10 Lucas/Roger
This was so awesome! He seems like such a genuinely nice guy! I really loved watching this interview! Thank you!
These interviews are so fascinating and lovely, I love that they're so natural and unrushed and i can just listen to these amazing conversations, instead of 15 minute produced shorts. Thank you guys!!
Dude gave me Anthony Hopkins vibes. What a legend. Great job with the interview guys! These are awesome.
Loved how casually Roger named dropped some of the most iconic movies and creators of all time, and for shining a light on some of the names who don't get enough recognition, and just so happened to have one of the original lightsaber props in his office. Looking forward to future interviews and hopefully the return of Roger and his documentary!
Stories from behind the scenes like these are more exciting than the sequels for me. Great points about Watto, as well, and Jar Jar as Buster Keaton. He also confirmed what JW Rinzler has said, that SW had many layers to it below the 'simple' story, which was thrilling to hear! Tired of people dismissing Lucas' movies as 'simple'.
These interviews are amazing. Can't wait to see the Geroge interview one day
Wow, couldn’t believe that he shot some scenes that are too some of my favorites. Mr. Christian is an interesting human being; definitely buying his book.
Oh, what an absolute treat! Thank you Theory & Marc for this!
This is one of the greatest interviews I've ever seen. Thank you all for this gem.
Awesome interview Theory!! Thank you for arranging it 👏👏👏
Has to be my favorite rule of two interview by far!!!
Loving these interviews, so cool getting stories from those behind scenes that don't get enough credit for helping build 'A Galaxy Far Far Away'.
Blowing my mind were getting one per week, I thought we'd be lucky to get one per month. Way Theory & Marc are ripping through all these guests, they'll run-out in no time.
Great interview!
Best interview yet thanks Theory Marc & Roger 👏👏👏
Sucks these interviews are on to late for me to watch live over here in UK.
These are incredible, this has been my absolute favorite one. Roger is a treasure, thank you Theory & Mark!
I can't believe it took me three years to find this. Perfect background for doing a saber install.
Absolutely loved this interview. Amazing job y'all 👏🏽
Indeed this is a treat for us fans. Learning more about the creation of star wars is mind blowing. Especially the making of the famous lightsaber. Its so interesting to know how much work was put into the original trilogy. The storyline and the adventure, all of it. Love you vids Theory.
This was another fantastic classic interview...thank you all!
Its blowing my mind how Theory & Marc are Getting all these interviews for us, I can't get enough of them, it'd also be cool if they can get some of actors that played small role's like Biggs etc in future & hear about there experience in OT & PT before they're no longer with us....
Best interview yet, so well done
Great point about not having any of the props made from anything we can recognize otherwise it will never look right .
This is unbelievable how they keep landing these interviews
Think it's all down to Marc & his connections in business..
Another top notch interview! If you keep this kind of quality up, George will be here in no time!
This was a great interview, he had so much interesting to tell! Loved it!!
Ahhh man, so cool. Words don't describe how great Rule of Two has become.
the true creator of the weapon of SCI-FI legends
What a dream come true. Congrats!
What a fascinating fella Roger is. I was up til the early hours watching this live. Honestly I would not have objected to another hour !
My favorite guy so far

Its unfortunate i missed this live! Very cool interview and i didnt know he also worked on "Life of Brian"
What a good guest. Such a nice guy.
Knocking it out the park again dudes. Excellent stories and info from “my era” of Star Wars and the prequels too. Still wish the stream stayed open for a discussion with you two and the chat after your guest leaves tho. Would be cool to hear your opinions fresh after it.
This was awesome! I can't wait for the Rick interview!
Defo my favourite interview you guys have done so far

Amazing interview lived it keep them coming!!!
Calling it, best interview yet!
I listened all of it.
Thank you 👍
Thank-you!!
This was great thanks SWT and Marc!
Great interview and amazing cameo by an original lightsaber. Remember, everyone, the OT made it clear that the Force is passed down through genetics. "My father has it, my sister has it." It is something that's simply out there that anyone can tap into equally. Therefore, there MUST be a physical explanation for how the Force transfers from one family member to another. George certainly couldn't make it simply about genes, as that's not imaginative at all. His explanation is a little more akin to "good bacteria," i.e. a symbiotic living organism that lives inside human beings. The idea that you can psychically engage with this invisible lifeform to manipulate the Force through them is an incredibly interesting sci-fi concept. They are a lower lifeform who is more in touch with the origin of life than the further evolved human beings, hence people can benefit from having a symbiotic relationship with them.
Roger Christian is a great person
What an amazing conversation! Epic
