    Not much happening on this Christmas day, so I am 45 minutes into your video😁 We've had snow and cold for the past week, so I haven’t even been to the garage to sit in mine. Should be able to drive it next week. I know it does well in the snow, but it’s so clean that I don’t want to get it dirty😊

    The hotel with the four free L2 chargers was great! Best practice is for hotels to ditch the idea of pay-for-charging and just include the electrons as part of the room. I will make hotel reservations solely on charging availability. Hotels need to wise up and install ever more chargers 'cuz otherwise they're losing out.

    • @EVMotoring
      @EVMotoring  Год назад

      I agree. The amount of money they make is a joke relative to the whole hotel. Also units that allow hotels to charge are far more expensive than just installing some durable clipper creeks and Tesla destination chargers.

    Taco Hell or the Hut, that's a devil's choice for sure. We need more food options at charging stations! Most EA are in food deserts. So nice when you have a choice besides "nothing" or low quality fast food.

      Definitely using AC since it was over 100 degrees. Efficiency got better and I left AZ and NM since the temps dropped and AC usage dropped as well

    Did 4200kms in a 69kWh Polestar with family to Southern Spain and back! Through Switzerland/Western Alps too. Charging not always as smooth as you organised it. But "family"! Could have been better organised by me. Still, no big problems, although google sometimes did some strange recommendations. Need to integrate ABRP into google better. My issue is I want ionity chargers and I don't want any detours to reach them. Near impossible to get a route planner to understand this without manual editing.

      I agree. Google has given some odd suggestions so I’ve had to google the electrify America station sometimes since I want complementary charging. My VW ID4 did the same thing.

      It's an odd design choice for sure. A little WFTish. I'm a single dude, so it’s not really an issue for me, but it would be annoying on a road trip with a friend

    I heard Volvo/Polestar has a rather small bottom buffer. This is good for those who want to just go a little further, but probably not so good for battery longevity if you're frequently going under 10%. VW group EVs really prioritizes battery life above all else - my Audi defaults to 80% charge for daily use unless you deliberately increase it or am doing a road trip via navigation.

      I saw another channel (Bjorn something) get 12 miles after 0 and it still hadn’t died completely. And I’ve seen another YTer claim getting 12 miles after 0. Is it normal to have a bigger buffer than that? That seems pretty big to me 🤷‍♂️

    Fry's in Calif. died. They don't exist anymore.

    • @AML2000
      @AML2000 Год назад

      Just FYI. The Fry's grocery stores were bought out by Kroger. Kroger keeps the old names for acquired stores, but when they acquire more than one brand in a state, they use the oldest brand usually. In CA that's Ralph's. In AZ, they bought out Fred Meyer, which prevously had bought out Smith's and Smitties's in the state. Since they already owned Fry's in AZ, they changed them all to Fry's. The electronic store was seperated from the grocery store decades ago.
