Lol I did once, but it was a late-night show that played local acts and it didn't last very long :/ they had some cool death metal.
If you've got sattelite radio you can get a few pretty good metal stations. I know Liquid Metal on Sirius XM plays stuff like Gojira and Amon Amarth a lot.
One of my teachers was in a band. Their songs never aired on radio as they were 10+ mins long
