Dear Tim, thank you for sharing the design for the Bronco. It looks easy to build and I have downloaded the plans and scaled them up by hand to give me the templates to cut out. As I am new to building model aircraft I was wondering if the horizontal stabilizer and the bottom of the wing have the same orientation or are one or the other at a slight angle? thanks Paul
Paul, I'd add just a touch of positive incidence to the wing compared to the horizontal stab. I think the model flies a bit better. But if all is zero-zero (i.e. aligned), will fly fine. Tim

I really enjoyed watching your build. I'm moving from nitro to electric. This may be a project down the road. I do like the foam board. Could you make an elliptic wing from foam board? Like the leprechaun glider? Would love to see you build something along this. A great floater! Thank you for teaching the "how to".
Thanks for checking in! I did experiment with a tapered wing using this technique, but had poor results. This is a neat method for a straight wing for sure, but maybe not for elliptical shapes. Tim
Wow - I thought that location where you were flying looked familiar - when travelling to visit my kids at UGA I would sometimes stop by that field and watch folks fly - some fly there with some mighty big ol airplanes! Thanks for your videos - they're great!
Hi Tim, I am 13 and new to building RC planes and I have built your bronco design and I have had problems with my plane banking to the right. I have tried to trim the ailerons with little to no success. Do you have any suggestions to help me fix my problem? thank you, Mason
Hi Mason, welcome to the hobby! Plz be certain that there are no warps in the wing. Next, make sure the wing balances left and right; if one side is heavier, put some nails in the other side to balance it out. If it still banks to the right, just trim the aileron on the right side to be a bit "more down" to keep the wings level.
@@TimMcKay56Hi Tim! I took my bronco on it's maiden flight today. It did amazing!! It has a slightly different tail design but otherwise pretty similar. I'm so happy with the way it flys. I was thinking about setting it up with flapperons for slow flights and landing. What do you think?
Great video. I'm currently trying to build a slightly larger version (40" wingspan) using your plans. Everything is coming together nicely. I purchased a flite test power pack c to power the plane. I'm hoping I picked the right pack as I'm just getting started and not sure.
Brendon: Congrats on your build! The Bronco is fairly lightweight. Whatever weight your version comes in at, ensure your motor and prop combo can handle it. Mine weighed 17 ounces and the Park 250 motor gave plenty of thrust. Think this would work with a larger version. Tim
@@TimMcKay56 thanks for the reply. The power pack came with a 10x4.5 prop. I've taken it on 2 test flights since my last comment. Both resulted in crashes and broken props. I believe it was the thrust angle and while waiting for new props I set the thrust angle again. I believe it's overpowered. It will fly out of my hand at 1/4 throttle. The plane has held up great and I'm hoping to get a good flight this time. Will post a picture here soon. Thanks again for all the videos. They have really been help.
