@mayaleex3 i got my wisdom tooth surgery this last Saturday and i have to rest & leave to work for about 7days, its my 5days now🥹i have a question its normal to the stitches in my wisdom tooth go away on their own or i accidentally ate it?😰
I had 2 wisdom tooth 🦷 🦷 removed today and I went under IV sedation, I knocked out so fast, dont remember anything. Im a highly/extreme anxious person. If I did, so can you!!! God is with us! I couldn’t sleep last night because of the fear but its not worthy. Say a prayer, trust in God and enjoy your nap!
The biggest thing I wish I took into consideration was the recovery. I spent all of my time being so nervous with the procedure, and the next week wishing I had made better plans like this. If you’re getting yours done soon, seriously do not be scared of the procedure, it will literally feel like 5 seconds.. plan about your recovery!
Can relate to this. Sleeping and eating are by far THE HARDEST STRUGGLES (so far, I’m only 72 hours into recovery). I cannot WAIT to just be able to eat a hot dog or cheese burger or some kind of meat 😭
@@LaurenLPageyou should have requested to be put to sleep, I just got mine out I was super nervous but I just got put to sleep and woke up haven’t had any pain and it’s felt like it took 1 second and just woke up
Lovely video😀🙌🏼🤗 I leave the tips if you want copy and paste on your notes: 1. aquaphor on lips 2. towel on pillow 3. change gauze every 20-30 min (until bleeding stops) 4. no spitting for a week 5. ask the office for a syringe 6. get lots of rest 7. ibuprofen 600-800 + antibiotics 8. drink a lot of protein for recovery + fuel 9. ice 20 min on, 20 min off 10. with a SOFT toothbrush 11. take lots of vitamins & minerals 12. probiotics to help gut (esp. when taking antibiotics) 13. make sure to find ways to add fiber 14. high speed blender is our bff (vitamix) 15. high protein + high calorie smoothies 16. nutritional yeast is a complete protein + vitamin / minerals 17. pain is temporary :) still enjoy life 18. collagen to aid recovery 19. it's okay to bring your own food 20. pour smoothies to-go 21. must eat everything lukewarm (7 days to be safe) 22. avoid grain for 2 weeks 23. no exercise until you feel ready (i can't run yet but can move around)
I just went through my wisdom teeth removal this past October (last month) and it didn't even cross my mind to come back here and relay my experience (because it honestly wasn't half as bad as I was expecting). My top two were pointed diagonally backwards, and my bottoms were growing in horizontally toward the front. They were erupted, but I was still considered "high risk" for nerve damage given how much they had grown in. My oral surgeon was fantastic, and I had all four out in about 30 minutes. If you have the option to be knocked out, go for it. Its so calming, and you wake up as if nothing happened. The gauze comes out usually in the first 6 hours, as long as bleeding has subsided (which it usually does without concern). The only tough part about recovery is ensuring you eat the proper foods to not get stuck in the holes lol. If you follow the steps given to you by your oral surgeon, you'll be back to business as usual in a week. As far as pain is concerned, see if your doctor can prescribe you a strong anti-inflammatory to be taken 30 minutes before your procedure. Additionally, the meds they give you after are decent. Pain-wise you wont be in any sort of life-altering discomfort. You'll have a little jaw tenderness, and should have minimal swelling if you follow the anti-inflammatory schedule. TL;DR - It's gonna be fine. Honestly, get it over with and you'll wonder what all the fuss was about. I put it off for 15 years then finally got it done. Once theyre out, you dont need to go through it again.
I finally got 4 of my wisdom teeth removed and opted for the anesthesia. I just kick myself because I found out the person I was SUPPOSED to trust to drive me home and be there for the surgery stole money off of my debit card while I was under getting surgery! I am hurt emotionally over this incident and physically because well getting ur wisdom teeth removed is painful. I am happy I got to see what a NORMAL recovery is supposed to be for this. I spent the day stressing going to the bank and police department to fill out reports. I had to live through your experience just to feel a little bit better and not cry 🥺. Thank you.
My experience so far - hope this helps anyone getting their wisdom out Day 1- just before the torture-Eat a big meal before surgery as if your on death row. Mine was extracted by local aesthetic. Lots of tugging and a grown man ripping my cheek apart! (Literally) took around 30mins to extract 1 tooth. No pain during surgery- just VERY uncomfortable and felt a ton of pressure. Kids, if you never taken drugs well now is your time to shine! I took pain killers an hour after surgery as pre caution and took pain killers every 4 hours. The bleeding didn’t stop for 6 hours after surgery so went back to the dentist, they checked it and said it’s nothing to worry about. REMEMBER to use a WET gauze for 30mins & then leave the gauze out and see if it clots on its own. Worked a treat for me On tonight’s delicious menu: soup cooled down, water, yogurt. - force yourself to shove some baby like food down! Later that evening I had sore throat and face started to swell like a balloon. Used ice on cheeks. The bleeding went down during the night on its own. No beauty sleep, I slept upright, which was very uncomfortable. Buy a travel neck pillow! Day 2- Prepare to look like Quagmire or as if you had botched jaw filler! Sore throat but no pain. Got a fever, used wet cold towel on my head throughout the day. Nasty blood taste in mouth but no active bleeding.. Fine wine and dine: porridge, rice pudding, ice cream, soup and sipped on lots of water throughout the day. Been taking pain killers every 6 hours through out the day. I managed to brush some of my pearly whites very carefully, Avoiding the site of extraction . (This made me feel better) Beauty sleep was better than the night before but still uncomfortable & kept waking up. Slight pain 4/10 at night. Day 3 - Wednesday - still rocking the botched jaw filler look. throat is very sore, voice is gone, blocked nose, headache. Think I got a cold. Fever has gone down. Nasty taste in mouth. Done salt and water rinse (check on RUclips how to). Meal of choice: soft foods, drank the whole ocean, cold matcha tea. VERY IMPORTANT-salt rinse after each meal- and after brushing Only taken 2 pain killers. Pain level is like when you bite into your cheek. Day 4- woohoo, survived the worst-treat yourself to a lush spa in your shower and wash those greasy locks! blotched jaw filler still intact. Still got a cold and slight cough. I Used Vicks in hot water and breathed in the steam to clear the mucus. Slept like a baby- but now got bad neck pains (due to sleeping upright) On tonight’s menu: Wonderful soup, mash, lots of water, and tub of ice cream! Now in rehab & taken no pain killers. Still brushing my teeth like a 1 year old. Challenged myself and even tried a bit of flossing, jaw hurts so can’t open mouth that wide For day 9 onwards (or when you start eating solid foods) - buy a irrigatoring syringe (eBay, Amazon) you will need to use this for the next month onwards to clean and flush out food particles that get stuck in your wisdom hole
Very similar to yours ,my extraction done by 2 guys ,this is day 3 for me the sore throat and ear pain I got is very unusual. The sore throat feels like someone punched me over and over in the throat. Even swallowing is like hell now. Can't really open my mouth hence I'm just drinking, I just wonder when this awful sore throat is going away 🙃
@@iamjewelzz I forgot to mention the bruising! It was awful. the bottom part of my cheeks near the jaw was quite bruised from all that pushing and pulling! After a week and a half the bruising turned yellow (means it’s healing) & then faded away :) Hope you have a speedy recovery x
I know you did not see me getting them taken out but your literally in and out of there in so fast, the steps go: 1. Laughing gas; 2-3 mins 2. IV; 30 seconds 3. Medicine through IV;1 m 4 . You sleep and surgery gets done. Anywhere from 10-60 mins depending what one’s and how many are coming out. Don’t be scared!! 💗
So encouraged to see this! Super nervous to get mine out in a few days. Def hard to slow down and put life on pause. Also love your little cross tat and commitment to faith!!
You barely swelled! I'm so jealous! I love that you showed all of your meals. When I got mine out in September, I survived on smoothies, applesauce and cottagecheese. Healing wasn't too bad at home, but once I had to return to college, it was annoying not being able to eat what others ate and having to constantly flush my holes.
hi, when did you start chewing normally? were you able to open your mouth wide normally after 7 days or did you have to wait more? also, did you brush near the extraction site on day 8?
@@frost-vq4qknot the person your comment was directed at but I did it while fully conscious and they just numbed the areas (4 teeth and it was 6 injections? Total) Anyway, it was not as scary as I thought Drink pineapple juice the day before I drank 1l, was not swollen at all and this is my 4th day of recovery. Also the process was rly fine and the most pain I had was day two it was like a 6/10 so all very manageable I was terrified the night before - I even cried :') but all in all it worked out just fine, I promise it's not as scary as it looks haha I wish you good luck
Thank you for this video! 🤍 I had watched it over and over again as the days led up to me finally getting all 4 (impacted) wisdom teeth out under IV sedation. I was okay until I was sitting in that chair lol I finally cried and asked the staff to just talk to me and let me yap myself to sleep. They were so kind and all I remember was talking about chicken wings and next thing I know I’m waking up and couldn’t stop saying how fast it was. Recovery is deff something you do not want to overlook. Try your best to prep before - stock up on your soft foods, deep clean/all chores done, have one big meal the day/night before, etc! I’m officially 24 hours post op now. I was also super scared since I’m in my late 20s getting it done. It was a breeze and so glad I finally did it! Best of luck to anyone out there binge watching videos like this (aka me LOL) thank you again for the lovely video of your journey!
It's always interesting for me to see how most people seem to have such an experience. When I removed my wisdom teeth I only got local anesthesia, I never felt any pain, had no swelling whatsoever and no recovery time. I ate solid fight right after the surgery XD
Might depend on the wisdom teeth. If they can be pulled straight out without much surgery if at all, or if they have to have a more involved surgery cutting tissues and teeth along the way.
Found your page tonight. I get my wisdom teeth out next month and am terrified! Thank you for giving me a realistic expectation of what to expect! Glad you’re feeling better!
Watching this while preparing for my wisdom tooth extraction. I'm having the coronectomy to avoid nerve damage on the bottom teeth. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Oh dang, I remember having this done, I hope your healing process is quick and painless! When I had mine done, Jell-o in every flavor was all I could eat. Highly recommend!
hi! i know it’s late but when did you start chewing normally? i’m on day 8 today and i’m feeling so much better. i still can’t open my mouth wide enough but there’s no pain anymore. also, did you start brushing normally (on the extraction site) around this time?
How is everything? Mine are starting to hurt so I might need them taken out very soon. The pain and discomfort is my biggest fear with this and I’m being a chicken😭
This was a really helpful video for me, I watched it right before I got 3 of my wisdom teeth out and post operation I've been referring back to it a lot! I hope that she makes an update video on how the rest of her healing went and how that nerve damage is coming along :) fortunately I didn't get any nerve damage, in fact my surgeon left my 4th tooth where it was because he wanted to avoid that (the tooth is also not erupted so it's not causing as much of an issue as the other ones were). I had been fearful of this operation since I was a teen and found out I'd need to get it done someday, and put it off until I was 26. However, I think it was perfect timing and after getting through the stress of getting it done the procedure was quick and easy and the anesthesia had me wake up in a happy mood rather than being traumatized!!! My past self would be so relieved to know I am doing great :)
Awwww I also delayed this for sooo long! It’s been 4 weeks now and I still have holes 😅 they’re closing, but food still gets stuck! I eat EVERYTHING though hehe. Chips are a bit hard still cause the crunchy bits really get stuck in there. I carry my syringe everywhere!
@@mayaleex3 thank you for the update!! I haven't been able to find any holes in the back, which is really weird 🤔 but maybe I'm just not able to see that far back in my mouth. I have been craving Frito chips this whole time but I must resist until I'm more healed 😂 I lost my syringe the first day and had to order a new one. The rinsing is very refreshing!
@@mayaleex3 Hi Maya! When did your jaw stiffness go away if you don’t mind me asking? also, do you still rinse with saltwater + syringe or just water at this point?
Just got 2 impacted wisdom teeth removed with only Local Anesthesia. It is freeing that they're finally taken out. The pain is manageable during the extraction. Just relax. Pray and trust God. Goodluck ya'll.
Rewatching this video because I just got all 4 of mine pulled yesterday! It went really well, and only one tooth was impacted thankfully. I had local anesthesia and the numbness went away pretty quickly on the left side of my mouth, but the right side took around 12ish hours to get feeling back on the same side as my impacted tooth. Thanks for such an in-depth video, it’s really helped me feel better about the whole process ❤
@@hayleycsepella3189 It’s really not so bad! Everyone is different, but I personally didn’t start feeling better until day 4. Now I’m on day 10 and feel just as good as I felt before the surgery. Just be sure to follow all the instructions that your doctor shares with you and you’ll recover in no time!
@@ameliah8173 thank you so much for responding! I’m already feeling a bit better about it, I’ll try to reply to you again after the surgery to let you know how everything went :)
Update, I got the surgery this morning and it is now about 10:00 pm where I live. Everything went pretty well, I got general anesthesia for it and that was the weirdest feeling. But I think I might have gotten some nerve damage which is what I was afraid of, but I still can’t fully tell yet.
Found your video on my 7th day after extraction. I've had 2 teeth extracted on 18/09/23. My lower left impacted wisdom tooth (3rd molar) has affecfed the front tooth (2nd molar). Local anaesthesia injected 3 or 4 times. The process took around 1 hour and a half. I'm glad that I didn't get a swollen face afterwards despite the fact 2 tooth extracted within short time apart. Just that the thread used makes me gag and gum feel unbearably tingling. Ice pack helps a lot to ease the pain. Only eat soft bun with less to no topping or filling, plain soup (filter any seeds or pieces), porridge, mashed potato and smoothies. Was given Ibuprofen and Paracetamol. I can't wait to get the stiches remove soon.
Just had upper and lower left wisdom teeth pulled they were both broken for a long time. This dentist numbed me up waited 5 minutes and had them both out in 11 minutes. Guy is a beast. Thanks again Dr zhang
I got mine out on Thursday and the one thing that I didn’t expect was throwing up twice and all the saliva the second and third days. Pro tip the first 48 hours are the most important, protein drinks and lots of water. I am on day four and I am wanting to get back to my normal eating habits. But can’t drink coffee for another 4 days so enjoy the foods you love while you can before surgery.
@@braulioneponce, you're okay! i had my wisdom teeth removed (8 months ago which is INSANE how fast time is moving!) as stated in my comment above, my bottom wisdom teeth were growing in differently so i was definitely in pain then. I was on general anesthesia as i wanted to be fully unconscious while they were doing the procedure. (if you do go this route, FOLLOW YOUR DENTIST'S INSTRUCTIONS, OTHERWISE THEY'LL RESCHEDULE YOUR SURGERY). Afterwards, my parent got my prescription and they had prescribed me Hydrocodone and some other type of meds (that i cannot remember). I only use half of 1 hydrocodone when the numbing agents from the surgery wore off. I was definitely in pain after the numbing agents wore off, first 24 hours up till about the 2nd-3rd* day. I was still numb & (swollen till the 5th-7th day* due to the surgery) on my jawline. What also helps is following cleaning/hygiene, eating the 'correct'/appropriate foods till you are able to tolerate them, and definitely resting as much as you possibly can (as this is how your body is able to restore/heal itself)!
Got mine removed one week ago. Recovery has been horrible. Still feeling the pain in my jaws, trouble opening the mouth. Can manage without painkillers now, but the discomforting pain is always there. Hopefully it gets better in next few days.
If you are going thru right now. and is your fist day, drink or eat something cold to stop the bleeding. The Gauze is not need it after the first hr. the cold help with the blood and it should stop. Also ice, ice and ice the first 2 days. Them go to warm for the rest of the time specially if you are having pain. Put some wet small towels in a ziploc bag and microwave for 1 minute. use one for each side, put both in a pillowcase. use for each side. that should work. Don't Drink from a straw at all.
I’m so thankful for this video! Really enjoyed watching your experience. Getting all 4 of mine out soon and being completely knocked out, pretty scared but your video helped💜.
The process is incredible there, the time I took out mine, it was with local anesthesia. They took a big needle to pinch my gums like 7 times!! You're awake all the process. The anesthesia it's not that efficient so you still feel some pain while the extraction. Third world country here
For me i looked like a chipmunk i had all four removed in surgery because mine were impacted but it wasn't as scary as i thought and it went by so fast and the nurses and doctors were so sweet
Just got all 4 taken out. The bottom two were impacted and did want to leave my mouth lol. I'm on my first day post op and so far have no pain and minimal swelling. That could be because of the meds I'm taking but so far things are going smooth. I'm just hoping I don't get a dry socket 🫠
@chanieee day 2 post op still no pain barely any swelling. I only took pain meds the day of my surgery and I haven't taken them since. I've only been taking my antibiotics and anti-inflammatory meds. Switched to a heat compress to help with healing and swelling. Overall I'm doing good I'm just being extra careful not to give myself a dry socket.
@Otey Bascially it's when the blood clot forming in the wisdom tooth extraction site comes out. As far as i know it usally happens because of smoking, using a straw post op, or just disturbing the wound in general. Apparently it's painful which is why I'm doing my best not to get one.
Im On day 6 and no problems besides minor swelling but I’m just eating mashed potatoes only to play it safe from getting infected. , hope you’ll be okay I just can’t wait to have a burger with no issues and be normal again 😅
Hi Maya! I went for my wisdom tooth surgery last week. Just wanna say thank you for this video as it helped me a lot in my preparation! Your progress log is very helpful.
@@jyn88 because they had to drain the infection at the dentist office and I went to the hospital and got put on antibiotics. But what made me know I had the infection was my throat and tongue swelled up to the point where my tongue was pressed up against the roof of my mouth.
@@jyn88 it definitely was pretty scary in retrospect but in the moment I was just in so much pain I could barely think straight but yes everything‘s all better now!
I just got all four taken out today and I'm going to be living by this video 😭 I'm so hungry already and as someone who loves to indulge, I'm happy you have some good recipes I can follow, they look delicious.
I had my bottom ones taken out in 2014 with only local anesthesia they were impacted and infected they hurt like hell. Lots of swelling. Had the remaining two taken out recently while on local anesthesia definitely not as bad this time around because both were erupted. I could eat right after getting them extracted. Opt out on sedation because it's expensive and the last time I got it for a different surgery it took me way too long to recover from so I was like nope lol. Really glad the pain was tolerable this time around sorry yours seem a lot more painful in comparison.
I got mine out on Friday, my left jaw was numb until Saturday night, but I was also cramping at the same time and my cramps hurt more than my face. What took me by surprise surprise was how much my sinuses hurt. I made congee the night before and was so glad i did.
Hi i really love you I'm watching u for more than a year and u really helped me from waking up at 12 pm to 6 or 4 am and be productuve thank you ur really special funny person may god bless you.
Don’t be nervous! I’m 34 and got my 2 right wisdom teeth removed yesterday. I did it with local anesthesia. The whole thing took 35 minutes. There’s been pain only when the numbing was wearing off. Today my jaw is swollen, but that’s all. I hyped it up to be much worse than it actually was. You can do it!
Thank you! ❤ @veetahbee1368 I got 4 out with IV sedation yesterday! I honestly feel surprisingly fine so far. Very sleepy, mix from the pain meds and just surgery itself but the pain isn't that bad at all! I started having some dull jaw pain last night but ice and meds fixed it right up. ❤
I am honestly nervous for my wisdom teeth removal but seeing this just makes me feel a little better. I guess I am kind of lucky to only have three wisdom teeth. Getting mine out in two days!
Here I was looking for videos of the actual surgery, but instead I just got to see how miserable I'll be after it's done😩 I am freaking out and I don't even have an appointment yet, I'm just on a waiting list
I can honestly say the procedure itself wasn’t nothing but the recovery is what got me. I just got all 3 of mines taken out on 10/23/23 and I’m still in pain I had to take off of work for one week and considering taking off another week. Just to make sure I’m good. I lost 7 pounds so far by eating soups and soft foods lol
❤❤❤ maya is adorable! 💋 I had my wisdom tooth removed yesterday and I didn’t feel pain but I did felt the discomfort. My jaw is still sore but thank god I got it done! And out the way! ❤
Not to scare anyone but I’m on day one got my wisdom teeth pulled about 14 hours ago, I can’t sleep, pain is throbbing through my whole face, super nauseous to the point where I can’t talk or even look at anything.
Ugh I got all of mine removed in January and had to spend 2 weeks out from work for it. I got dry socket in one and it was the worst pain I’ve ever felt. I hope you’re healing well ❤
@@joaquinarchivaldoguzmanloe1073I am getting plasma platelets. Dr said it will aid in recovery and I will heal faster. And it said online that those plasma don't get dry socket. Because dry socket happens when the blood clot displaces frol.the socket and exposed the bone. I heard it's quite. P.S plasma platelets is a technology where they draw you blood and separate plasma from it and then use it in the socket after the extraction. It costs extra but let's see if it's worth it.
This video was unexpected but still wholesome and educational! I have a question: do you have any tips on how to maintain a more consistent sleep schedule? I usually sleep at 12pm on a weekday and 2am on weekends but I find the transition getting back to sleeping at 12pm on weekdays so hard 🥲 I think it's mostly my fault for binging Netflix or reading till late on the weekends but any tips on how to make yourself sleep at a more consistent time everyday?
Man I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed yesterday. And idk how you’re eating so much on your 2nd day. All I had was a bowl of spaghettios and half a bowl of tomatoe soup. I feel nauseous everytime I stand up too. But I can’t tell if it’s from the medication or because I haven’t been eating much. Either way, I feel you on the pain and the lip numbing. Two of my bottom wisdom teeth were growing horizontally so they had to do surgery on that. Those two hurt the most tbh and still are. But this video is giving me lots of comfort. I look like I have Chad jawline still unfortunately. I have high hopes for Day 3. Unsure whether I should call off work for Day 4 yet though.
I had mine out a few months ago and was terrified of that part. They had me count down from 10 and I don’t even remember counting. Next moment I was awake. The anesthesia they used for my wisdom teeth I was pretty alert (not not in a bad way-just more coherent than I expected). It went really well and wasn’t scary! I had another procedure when they used a different anesthesia and that one I woke up pretty loopy from, lol, so it depends on which they use, but neither time I remember going to sleep so that’s the easy part. Best of luck next week! I pray it goes smoothly!
Glad I stumbled upon this video, I have to do this soon for my wisdom teeth and I'm really scared 😭 Considering listening to bts while I knock out now xD
I just had all 4 of mine removed a few days ago. I went under anesthesia, and took pain medicine as soon as I got home before the medicine wore off. I have yet to feel any pain.
Hey Guys i was freaking the F. Out and was getting one impacted teeth out on IV. Tell your doc to use a numbing spray, I dint even know the IV was in. No pain at all. Just try t o breathe it. When they gave the IV. I was OUT, no pain. Nothing. I remember nothing at all. Take super good after care, which is the main thing!!!
Just discovered your video. I had 1 wisdom, a molar removal and bone graphs placed for implants. I had laughing gas. And honey, that pain is real afterwards like you said. For the remaining wisdom teeth, I think I will need IV sedation. Laughing gas and lidocaine wasn't quite enough. I still felt some some pain as the wisdom tooth was being removed 😳. Maybe the lidocaine didn't quite numb me as deep as it should have.
On day 5 and it started paining yesterday. I bit my inner cheek and that is creating so much of a problem. My day 1 and 2 were fine. I want to be alright soon.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I really liked your video. I need to have mine removed soon. Did your nerve damage resolve? If so how long did it take?
just got mine done today.. woke up in recovery just to see my wife fainted because of the blood.. what a wake up present i got.. also because i was so high as hell still from the meds i just starred wondering what happen XD
My wisdom teeth has been hurting me for days... I decided to schedule an appointment. What should I do to ease my nervousness about my upcoming appointment? 😓
Hello,To ease your nervousness, try these tips: Ask your dentist about the procedure to stay informed, practice deep breathing or meditation to relax, bring a friend for comfort, and distract yourself by listening to music or reading a book while waiting. I followed these tips last month from Kriss AI, and they really helped reduce my anxiety.
Just got mine done here literally super early so I did have a little bit of time to freak out. Eat a little before you go then wait the requirement time. I was shaking before they put the iv in but the gassed me first and I was high as a kite then I told them about how I greened out. Umm not what I planed to say but I was under the influence of gas. I remember the conversation before they sedated me and then after the sedation I kid you not I woke up at my house, sat up position, blood in my hair and shirt from the drooling and then woke up to eat some pudding. I’ve had two cups of pudding and two cups of applesauce and some medicine, managed to swallow the medicine well, but I haven’t eaten yet again and I’m starving so I think im going to make some soup. And swallowing liquids before the surgery was hard for me because I have super bad anxiety. And swallowing actual food is difficult but make sure to clear you mind, take our mental blocks and trust me you’ll be okay, they monitor you the entire time and they make sure you are nice and comfortable! Oh and pee before it as well because for some people like me I get cold when I use the gas and when I get cold I need to pee. So make sure to empty that bladder and if you get sick of the medicine they have all types of things for you if you do get sick. Oh! And they don’t knock you out so bad to where you can’t wake up because that was my greatest fear. They only knock you out for a bit then reverse it and then you wake up loopy as hell or not knowing how the fuck or where the fuck you are. 😂 it’s best that way. And the needle in your arm is a tiny pinch of your like me and have a feat of needles, take a stuffed animal and a sleeping mask so you can’t see it going into your arm because for some reason if people see it, it freaks them out more. And the teddy bear is for moral support. I can’t go to any appointment that serious without it. Including the doctor, it’s not childish to have something to comfort you in times of fear. ❤ Have a safe extraction and be sure to do what the doctors tell you.
So i got an extraction of 3 wisdom was eating the next day rn as of the 4th day one of the sockets looks like it's about to become really painfull "Dry Socket"

Yay so helpful, thank you for typing my tips out for people ❤
Thank you
This is very helpful ❤
Im having mine done soon. Left it for 10 years, had a general check up and dentist said 2 need to go. Sigh...
@@rpg5017 it’s an absolute breeze. Get knocked out.
@@heeneydoingthings oh thank you!!. I think i shall. Never had this intense anxiety but im warmed by the fact that im not alone.
@@rpg5017 how'd the surgery go?
I finally got 4 of my wisdom teeth removed and opted for the anesthesia. I just kick myself because I found out the person I was SUPPOSED to trust to drive me home and be there for the surgery stole money off of my debit card while I was under getting surgery! I am hurt emotionally over this incident and physically because well getting ur wisdom teeth removed is painful. I am happy I got to see what a NORMAL recovery is supposed to be for this. I spent the day stressing going to the bank and police department to fill out reports. I had to live through your experience just to feel a little bit better and not cry 🥺. Thank you.
Heyyy🤧😭 is everything okay now ?
omg that's terrible!! i hope everything is a bit better 💕
My mom is the one taking me, I hope she doesn’t steal my money
My experience so far - hope this helps anyone getting their wisdom out
Day 1- just before the torture-Eat a big meal before surgery as if your on death row.
Worked a treat for me
On tonight’s delicious menu: soup cooled down, water, yogurt.
(This made me feel better)
Beauty sleep was better than the night before but still uncomfortable & kept waking up.
VERY IMPORTANT-salt rinse after each meal- and after brushing
Only taken 2 pain killers.
Slept like a baby- but now got bad neck pains (due to sleeping upright)
On tonight’s menu: Wonderful soup, mash, lots of water, and tub of ice cream!
Now in rehab & taken no pain killers.
Still brushing my teeth like a 1 year old. Challenged myself and even tried a bit of flossing, jaw hurts so can’t open mouth that wide
For day 9 onwards (or when you start eating solid foods) - buy a irrigatoring syringe (eBay, Amazon) you will need to use this for the next month onwards to clean and flush out food particles that get stuck in your wisdom hole
This is fabulous
Very similar to yours ,my extraction done by 2 guys ,this is day 3 for me the sore throat and ear pain I got is very unusual. The sore throat feels like someone punched me over and over in the throat. Even swallowing is like hell now. Can't really open my mouth hence I'm just drinking, I just wonder when this awful sore throat is going away 🙃
@@MegaErmia Sore throat lasted me just over a week! Yes, it was horrible, made it hard to drink or eat. Try have tea, but make sure it’s cooled down
im so glad im not the only one that looks like quagmire and botched botox. the only thing is my cheeks arent just swollen theyre hella bruised 😔
@@iamjewelzz I forgot to mention the bruising! It was awful.
the bottom part of my cheeks near the jaw was quite bruised from all that pushing and pulling!

I know you did not see me getting them taken out but your literally in and out of there in so fast, the steps go:
1. Laughing gas; 2-3 mins
2. IV; 30 seconds
3. Medicine through IV;1 m
4 . You sleep and surgery gets done. Anywhere from 10-60 mins depending what one’s and how many are coming out. Don’t be scared!! 💗

I removed mine today, all four, local anesthesia, but unlike you I swole the whole day, and can only ‘eat’ cold liquid food for 3 days 😢
Might depend on the wisdom teeth. If they can be pulled straight out without much surgery if at all, or if they have to have a more involved surgery cutting tissues and teeth along the way.
@@humzahkhan6299 mine were rotten and impacted, they did not come out easily but somehow I was very lucky to not feel anything.

Awww hope you recover well!!

Thank you so much for making this video and sharing, Maya ♡ I really appreciate the tips and your raw and honest experience. May you recover quickly!

I got mine out on Thursday and the one thing that I didn’t expect was throwing up twice and all the saliva the second and third days. Pro tip the first 48 hours are the most important, protein drinks and lots of water. I am on day four and I am wanting to get back to my normal eating habits. But can’t drink coffee for another 4 days so enjoy the foods you love while you can before surgery.
i just had my two bottom wisdom teeth extracted (as they were growing horizontally) & your video truly helped me out during recovery 😭
How was your procedure / did you have any pain at all and what kind of sedation did they use please help I’m very anxious 😭
@@braulioneponce, you're okay! i had my wisdom teeth removed (8 months ago which is INSANE how fast time is moving!)
as stated in my comment above, my bottom wisdom teeth were growing in differently so i was definitely in pain then.
I’m glad you have a good husband to take care of you through this
Thanks husband

I got mine out on July 13, 2020 during the pandemic, after getting all healed up I was now in a better mood.
how long did it take to heal for you ?
I'm just hoping I don't get a dry socket 🫠
any updates? how are you feeling buddy?
@chanieee day 2 post op still no pain barely any swelling. I only took pain meds the day of my surgery and I haven't taken them since. I've only been taking my antibiotics and anti-inflammatory meds. Switched to a heat compress to help with healing and swelling. Overall I'm doing good I'm just being extra careful not to give myself a dry socket.
What’s a dry socket and how do you get one?
@Otey Bascially it's when the blood clot forming in the wisdom tooth extraction site comes out. As far as i know it usally happens because of smoking, using a straw post op, or just disturbing the wound in general. Apparently it's painful which is why I'm doing my best not to get one.

Heheee waiting for this vlog coz of the mini stories 🤭 Hope you have recovered by now ☺️ 사랑해요🫰🏻💓
Instagram stories always gets the first sneak peeks 🤣
Going tomorrow at 8:00 AM. 😅
Today- Saturday, May 13, at 12:31 PM.
Hope you feel better Maya, dreading getting my wisdom teeth out next week. Was it fast to fall asleep at the dentist im terrified of that part?
Yes typically anesthesia works within seconds :) it feels very fast you literally feel like you blinked and you're done lol it will be ok
Yesss it was sooo fast and I didn’t feel a thing!! It was great 😅 the recovery is the hard part hehe but temporary
I have bad anxiety and I just did all 4 with local anesthetic. It was an experience for sure but I did it!
Were they impacted

Glad I stumbled upon this video, I have to do this soon for my wisdom teeth and I'm really scared 😭 Considering listening to bts while I knock out now xD
SAME mines on the 27th
Hey I know it’s late? But how are you doing now? I’m planning to get braces, so have to remove all my wisdom teeth.
Just got mine taken out this morning. I don’t know how she’s talking I am in so much pain
Oh no!! ): I got ibuprofen 600 which helped!
You must've gotten it bad. I got all 4 of mine out and had no swelling. Felt back to normal in 3 days.
I just had all 4 of mine removed a few days ago. I went under anesthesia, and took pain medicine as soon as I got home before the medicine wore off. I have yet to feel any pain.
Getting mine out today! This video will be so helpful thank you!
Going tomorrow morning, you make it look easy hoping I won’t be in too much pain after
how was it?
Tomorrow for me Veterans Day
Got mine pulled yesterday and RUclips is so prompt to recommend me this 😂
Just went through Wisdom tooth surgery today. Thank you for this ❤❤❤
Do you get to choose if you want to be asleep during the surgery or not?
Hey hope you’re doing better now, how long did it take you to feel better?
hope you're fine & Hope you feel better maya lee
Thank you :))

@@rienne89 Hey! What is kriss ai?
@@ananyamohapatra20 I think she's talking about that new ai dental assistant.
Bruh I'm getting this done tomorrow and I'm TERRIFIED!!!
Maya I really like your all videos 🐾
